Great job, Lois, and I could certainly tell you were pleased, as well. I personally didn't like the plastic-y look and feel that I get with acrylics, but your painting looks just like watercolors. Sometimes we need to get out of our comfort zone and attempt new things. I'd enjoy seeing you do more of these acrylic paintings, perhaps with a small pop of color that we typically don't find with the Ron Ranson palette that you're famous for using. Thank you, Lois!
I really enjoyed your approach to Acrylics. Fab result. I’ve had a couple of attempts with them but wasn’t fussed about results. I shall have another go this weekend. Thanks for the inspiration Lois.
Well Lois absolutely amazing picture I would say you nailed it!!, thanks for sharing your skills with acrylic paint. Not for me at the moment still practicing with watercolour but we'll get there, greatly appreciated stay safe
Lois, I think I accidentally put a thumbs down on this and don’t know how to get it off. So sorry!!!!!! Please tell me how to get it off. I know it can cause you problems with UT.
This is gorgeous, I didn't even know acrylics could look like watercolors! You make it look so easy but every time I try this effect with watercolors it ends up a mess, so I know better than to try my hand at acrylics. It's enough to watch you perform your talent!
Thanks so much for your lovely comment, much appreciated! I still make a mess quite often ;-) Keep practicing, maybe try stronger paint and less water in your brush! :-)
Beautiful Lois, I have been mostly painting with Acrylics for a few years now and just got into watercolor. I’m going to have to try this. Be careful, that much water can under-bind your acrylic so you might want to spray a varnish on it.
Wow! I'd love to see you do more of these. Good instruction. I love your loose style and simple color scheme. You have given me great ideas since my preferred canvas is nature (coconut weave, grainy wood, and banana leaves) and my preferred medium is watercolor with the background shining through. I have to use acrylics for this. Your techniques have given me great ideas for . Thank-you.
I think this looks great! I don’t know why I’m so against acrylics. Maybe it’s just because they’re ‘acrylic’ and I have an aversion to plastic paint! I assume your picture didn’t lighten as much when it dried?
Thanks, no lightening with acrylics. I know what you mean, I've never been keen on plastiv paints but curiosity got the better of me as I've been doing a lot of art experimentation recently!
Great Lois. More Acrylics please
Lovely! More please, delightful to watch and I learn so much. Thank you 🌺
Many thanks, will do!

You are welcome!
Thank you for a beautiful acrylic demo. I hope to see more of this medium especially done very loosely as I tend to overwork my attempts.
This is wonderful! Thank you showing this technique.
Well done Lois. Turned out nice again lol. I'm almost tempted to try acrylics but I love the unpredictability of watercolours. Enjoyed the tutorial.
This turned out really nice, Lois. I'm glad you tried this. It looks great! Thanks. :)

Thanks so much Philip, there will be a watercolour tutorial tomorrow or Saturday hopefully!
Interesting idea like the detail in the trees and bushes . Good painting thanks for sharing
Thanks for your feedback, much appreciated!
Like your studio.
Omg!!! Absolutely amazing!!!
Thank you!
Excellent, inspiration in spades.
Thanks!
Very pretty! Love these landscapes.
Thanks so much!
I think you did a grand job and even managed to carry the feel of watercolor to the more limited and less spontaneous medium of acrylics. Good stuff!
Thanks very much, the idea was to try to paint so that it looks more like a watercolour painting!

Never mind. I think I got it off.
@@karenmorris2913 no worries Karen, I've done that before, easy to slip up! :-)

Please create more acrylic paintings. Try it on canvas.
Thanks!
👏👏👏
I was surprised how much it looks like watercolour- I suppose acrylic paint is water soluble so it makes sense. Thanks.
Disfruto mucho viendo tus trabajos, pero te agradecería que los acompañaras con el nombre de los colores que utilizas. Un saludo
Hi, many thanks, I will try in future! here is mostly 2 colours, black and yellow ochre with a dab of cerulean blue
