Installed the Corsa Xtreme Cat-Back couple of weeks ago - great sound and NO drone👍🏻. I recommend getting the install done in shop on lift by pro's - cost me $100. And completed in 45 min. Perfect exhaust and tip alignment.
Just put this system on my 2016 Mustang GT and WOW! Just starting it up sounds amazing. As mentioned in the video you can control how loud it gets by RPM's. Let it loose and it sounds like King Kong is pissed and you better get out of the way. lol. This system is a must have if you want your Pony to sound different from the rest.

I have the corsa extreme cat back on my 2017 and my buddy has the borla attack cat back on his 2011 and both systems are very loud borla idle is slightly more noticeable with a deeper tone and is always loud with not much play in the sound and interior noise is also loud corsa interior noise is surprisingly not loud and you have way more play with the noise as to how quite or loud you want and when you get on it the corsa system will get louder then borla

Amazing videos Bill! I am stuck on getting the borla ATAK or Corsa Extreme on my 15 GT. Videos do not do as much justice as seeing and hearing the exhaust in person. What is your opinion on which one sounds nicer? I love both! Before I saw these videos I was leaning towards the stainless works exhaust, but after seeing your videos this is a very hard decision for me. I appreciate any advice or help.
Lakhstarr I hesitate to give an opinion because sound is subjective. Between those two I would get the ATAK but both sound good. I found the Corsa a little too loud for me.
Bill just one suggestion. After you did the startup in the garage you did a startup outside, you do that on some videos and other you don't. I was wondering if you guys could do a startup from outside like you did in this video. (Also it would be great if you could let it sit at idle for let's day 5 seconds. I doubt they'll do that because they will have to chop the pipes on a corsa to fit the other muffler line (if they line up) thereby destroying one $1k+ otherwise salable corsa system... However if, say, someone wanted to actually buy both systems and have it done... Maybe they'd do the install for them and upload the video for us
TeeJayEastBeast The deepest tone is still the Magnaflow Competition. The deeper tone will translate to a little drone on the highway but I found it to be livable.

Corsa's systems just direct the sound rearward really, really well, so they don't seem anywhere near as loud inside as they are outside. Have someone you trust drive yours to hear the difference.
Bill, purely in your opinion having driven them all, how would you rank this in volume with the ATAK, Roush (with H), Corsa, and S-Type? That order loud to "soft" (obviously the S-type is still a loud system, but in terms of this group)? S-type, Roush, ATAK Corsa for deepness from deep to high pitched? I currently have a ARH H catback and it's great tone/deepness but way too low in volume. Hard to tell which of these 4 I would like that are loud but deep too. Thanks for your time in advance. Oh an a suggestion since everyone asks as you said, why not use a dB meter on each system from some set distance, say 5/10 ft behind the car and rev to the same RPM, say 5,000. I think American Muscle used to have a similar scale for exhausts a few years back. It's at least a good starting point to compare.
Jon K Its always hard to answer these kind of questions. I would say the Roush with the H is still the loudest system, the Corsa would be second, the ATAK third, and the S type the quietest of this group. I have had all these on my car for a little more time than just the video and I still have the S types on the car. IMHO they are the best combination. I liked the Corsa tone but it was a little loud for me, same with the ATAK.

In terms of deep tone (coming from an ARH-H catback setup which is super deep but softer like a Magnaflow) Roush and S-type are the deepest tone I suspect? With S-type a bit deeper tone than Roush.

The axleback section of the Xtreme (Sport axleback) with a Magnaflow dual in/out TruX resonated X-pipe muffler, P/N 11386, gets a nice balance. It's about as loud as the S-types on the outside but has the Xtreme tone. I have that on my car now and love it.

Anyone know what the measured overlap is for each pipe? The instructions didn't say and I know older model GTs did. The instructions show them with marked spots for overlaps but doesn't say the measurements. I'm having trouble getting mine to sit just right and Corsa customer support themselves has been less than ideal
Really like the sound of this system. The question/ concern I have is that I hear you, and a few others say that this system sounds "exotic" or high pitched. 5FaLlEn5 Corsa claims it offer a unique tone and evens out the flow of exhaust better than a standard X pipe. They have used that design for years and they are huge in the Corvette market.

I have listened to every exhaust you've installed so far but I wondered which one in person has the best V8/V12 Ferrari roar. I was looking at exhaust's and I want no drone but great sound still, just not super loud. I like the Corsa 3 inch catback pipe Sport best. But, Will that give me anymore horsepower over the stock? JR M the automatic transmission is faster and if u do get manuel make sure to get the 3.73 gear ratio if not and you plan on super charging your car you might run into problems with the transmission because it's prevalent on the forums

Drew G I have Texas Speed catted long tubes, Corsa Double Helix resonator delete and Roush axlebacks and it’s freakin loud! It might be too raspy for some but definitely an exotic sounding system.

Ryan s type will be more deep borla atak like corsa extreme but kinda a little more of a pop or banging sound

Corsa sells the midpipe as a standalone; you don't need to order their catback in order to get the double-X.

Mark Danner The Xtreme does not have a deep tone IMHO. It sounds good and its loud for sure. It still has a V8 sound but not that deep throaty sound.

Exotic? A mustang is a muscle car and muscle cars aren't supposed to sound anything like an exotic.

I have listened to every exhaust you've installed so far but I wondered which one in person has the best V8/V12 Ferrari roar. I don't care if it's a quad tip system or not, just want your personal opinion on which one sounds the most like a supercar before I place my order.
Right now I really like this Corsa Xtreme, but I could also maybe go Roush quad tip with an X-Pipe or something like that!

***** Nothing sounds like a Ferrari except a Ferrarri :) That being said I have said multiple times I feel the Corsa Xtreme has the most exotic sound
+Marcus Richards That's a tough one. Volume wise they are about the same, the Corsa has a higher more exotic pitch
+Marcus Richards The Corsa is the same way, very quiet on the highway with no drone. Hit the gas and it wakes up in a hurry.

I really don't know but I haven't seen too many of them. Retail was around $12k for top and bottom.

Is the surface rust on the rear diff cover safe to leave as-is? I have similar surface rust on my 2016's rear diff cover.

Hey bill, is there going to be a performance difference between lets say the borla s type with two and half inch piping versus the corsa 3 inch?
GBinHD Unless you are making 700+ I would not expect to see any performance difference.

I was looking at exhaust's and I want no drone but great sound still, just not super loud. I like the Corsa 3 inch catback pipe Sport best. But, Will that give me anymore horsepower over the stock? So many answers. Kenne Bell says nothing noticeable at all except purely the sound. One of Fords Race teams at the track said opposite but didn't know how much more HP it adds? Who is right on this?

+Peter Boyd I can't say how the side exhaust would change it but the Corsa is louder than the FRPP Sport.

Anybody know whether or not an automatic gt would reduce the aggressive sound of this extreme cat back exhaust. Trying to figure out whether or not to learn how to drive stick shift.
What would the transmission have to do with the sound of the exhaust? Please don't spread misinformation.

JR M definitely just learn to drive a stick. It will take you 1 day and is way more fun.
JR M the automatic transmission is faster and if u do get manuel make sure to get the 3.73 gear ratio if not and you plan on super charging your car you might run into problems with the transmission because it's prevalent on the forums

+BearGator56 I switched to a Ford Racing sport quad tip which sounds good as well but I still prefer the sound of the S types. They do not drone at all. I would suggest the 1 7/8 American Racing Headers

Kooks catless headers and this exhaust will be just outrageous. I'll be picking up my headers to compliment this exhaust in a year or so!
+5Point OH just wondering if it's possible to install the Corsa extreme double x pipe with the Roush axle back? If it is will it be significantly louder compared to just the Corsa extreme alone ?
Drew G I have Texas Speed catted long tubes, Corsa Double Helix resonator delete and Roush axlebacks and it’s freakin loud! It might be too raspy for some but definitely an exotic sounding system.
