Sveno Mick they really are, that’s all I’ve ever wanted to do was mess around with bikes. I’ve done that maintaining a fleet of 250cc Night Hawks , Rebels etc. but vintage and rare bikes are a different story.

The early 90,s KX and RM,s are the best looking bikes made
250s not the 125s they discontinued there 93 KX125 crankshaft all I wanted was a retro bike picked that bike up and blew the crank immediately 1700 American down the drain 250s way better
Brings back many good memories, I had a 1990 kx250 for my first bike back in 1999. Awesome bike
Doesn’t matter the year, all the older bikes had their high points and low points, but they are all special.
I just got into bikes this year ive always wanted one since i was a kid. This is the bike im learning on lol im having so much fun

1988, 1989 , 1990 , 1991 were my favorite years for the KX 250 😎
I miss my father, he always Falls into the mountain, gets swept by the Flood, and Falls on the cliff with this bike when he is drunk. he never died in those accidents. he died of a heart attack while sleeping 😥
I've had many '90's era YZ's & CR's, but my Favorites was my *'91 KX250 'Green Meanie'* with Perimeter Frame & Anodised Blue Forks!! That thing was Savage!!
Someone Needs to Whack a *KX500 Motor into* a *KX250 Steel Perimeter Frame!!* That would be my *Dream Machine* Sounds like a Real Cool Project for Kaplan Motorcycles, & get Jr to Race it!!👍👍

Man I love your videos I,m 45 and I,m looking at getting my first kx was thinking 500 but I will start with a 250.The last bike I had was the RT360 73 the same one you guys have in your house got that when I was 12 I think going from a honda ct90 to a yamaha360 was awesome.....But yeah cant wait to get a kx it's going to be mean as. Thanks for teaching me about bikes and what too look out for when buying them.
Had two of these over the years, don't ride anymore, kids and wife and two many injuries, put a ban on me lol, by far the best 250 bike I've ever had., I've had cr Yz ete rm but these were the baby's
Oh and me and my wife still have that 05 Suzuki katana, Rupp scrambler2, for sale. And the 68 triumph chopper I might want to put in the museum if your still interested?

Looks like it has UFO rad shrouds with original style graphic to me, slightly different colour to the tank or was it painted along with the frame?
ive always thought the kaw's looked better then other bikes probably the lime green color and ive always thought they were smoother riding an smoother power

This was my bike back in the day. Well not this exact one. I still had it up to 2017 when it was destroyed in a fire. Wish I still had it.

This is an old video and I’ve been bitching about all the cool Kawi motorcycles. I finally bought myself a 1998kx250. So I’ll quit my bitching about it. I’m going to do 90,91 graphics, a blue seat and thinking about anodizing the forks blue too. I can’t wait.

What kind of jetting do you have including the needle position mine I am having a hard time to tune mine
Find a good local dealer or motorcycle mechanic is my advice.

Hey,trying to work out why my 1990 kx 250 has gold anodized forks? I've noticed,some are silver,blue or gold? I'm confused because this is the 2nd 1990 kx I've seen that has silver forks.Im wanting to know what colour my forks should be from factory for restoration purposes,if any one could help me clear this up it would be greatly appreciated, thanks guys
USA KX 125 & 250 1990 had conventional forks, in 1991 silver like in video, other years can be made to work on them, in the UK / Europe it was gold 41mm Kayaba forks for 1990 and blue 43mm for 1991

That’s not an original exhaust wrong shape for a 1990, and welds not like std.
Its factory exhaust alright,have same bike,exhaust system looks identical to .my bike

Its probably been dinged and repaired maybe? Possibly peice repaired, re welded in? Old pipe.
