Should have took the pulley bolts loose before removing the belt....just a tip to help
Yea, just a brain fart. I do this daily impact usually makes simple work of it
What brand thermostat did you use and what was the gasket order for installation?
Just did one on my OBS and didn't have half the stuff to take off as you did.
Fan should is simpler on the old OBS. Love the old OBS but the upgrades made on the 99.5 and up made a big difference.
Best video EVER!!!!
Nothing more fun than a group of guys working on a truck and busting each others balls. Something my wife still doesn’t understand.
Yep, that’s how real friends do each other
I have seen some people replace the water pump bolts, due to the fact that the longer ones pass through the timing cover. That does not make sense to me. Their torque should not yield these. It looked like you reused them, right?
Never replaced on a 7.3 Powerstroke on the 7.3 IDI yes bolts matter and can come in contact with the injection pump gear.
That’s a buddy there boy, fix his 7.3 and he brings you a air compressor.
Yep, Gary never bought him an air compressor 😜😂
What were the torque specs for the water pump pulley bolts?
18 ft lbs for the water pump bolts
@@AutomedicGarage so it’s 11 ft lbs for the thermostat housing bolts, 18 ft lbs for the water pump bolts, and 18 ft lbs for the pulley bolts?
@@haydensalles yea just the water pump bolts are 18
@@AutomedicGarage okay thanks man 🤘🏻
its a pain to get the fan on
Naw, not to bad. You should work on all these other newer diesels and trucks. 7.3 is cake. Thanks for watching.
