  • Pattern Revision
    In this tutorial I made a mistake when I said the multiple was 5 plus the turning chain. In fact you can easily adjust the pattern, as long as the stitch count is an odd number plus 1 for turning. So for example the scarf in this tutorial has a starting chain of 26. The size of this scarf is 25 stitches across plus 1 for the turning chain.

      Oh boy, I'll bet she just loves that! If she's anything like my cats then she can't wait to get it off. I'm sure it looks adorable though. I've been thinking about making a scarf for each of mine too.

    A friend gave me 3 bags of 50% Acrylic, 25% Alpaca, 25% wool in Turquoise, grey and pink.
    So I’m making the scarfs in each colour with maybe hat to match for orphan children in Ukraine for Doctors with Borders Charity Organisation…🌺🌸😇

    I really appreciate your clear instructions along with close up pictures of where to insert your crochet hook. I don't always find that and it leaves me questioning exactly where to put my crochet hook I am a beginner. Nice video thanks

    Great looking scarf. Just wish you had given us the length of the scarf and shown how you added the tassels.

      Yes, how long did you make it? I watched twice because I thought I missed it the first time. Kind of important info. The tassels can be looked up, just a generic how to make tassels for a scarf video. I guess I'll have to look up how long to make a kids scarf, but it would've been nice if you had included that info for us.

      I think I used 200g of cotton DK (4x 50g balls). I made it a bit wider than in the video but it wasn't particularly long. I'd have made it longer but I ran out.

      Count your stitches..you may be accidentally putting a stitch in the turning chain.

    As a beginner I've never done a double crochet. It was fast and blurry every time one was done. A bit frustrated.
