so many characters and storylines to get lost into and follow along especially with the movies my favorite being Rots and return of the jedi and anakins story is tragically beautiful
I remember in high school i took a break from most of my interests like marvel and dc to focus in girl but i never took a break from star wars. When rogue one came out i asked a girl if she wanted to see it with me and she suggested a different place for a date but i was like you’re mistaken, either we see rogue one or i see rogue one 😂
You can't really understand the hate for the sequels unless you were invested in the Expanded Universe. The sequels are bad movies on their own, but it's not just that they're bad. It's that something really good, just as good as the OT, was swept away to make room for them. That's why the anger won't die. You need to read Heir to the Empire to understand why people are so deeply invested. Star Wars from the late 80s through 2012/2014 had over 30 years of lore that Disney tried to sweep away to make room for a reboot. None of which was actually new. It was just watered down versions of characters we already had, minus what made them work. Ben Solo is Jacen Solo minus everything that made Jacen a compelling character. Rey is a weird blend of Jaina Solo with Kyp's backstory and Ken's origins Even Finn, is a composite of a character from the late comics merged with Kyle Katarn The Emperor's return had already been done in the Dark Empire trilogy... It wasn't the best story then, but it was miles better than "somehow Palpatine returned". Legends had already given us depressed Luke, but Legends Luke was allowed to fight through his depression. He had a wife Mara Jade who is probably the most beloved EU character beside Grand Admiral Thrawn. (And you don't really know Thrawn unless again, you read the books.) He had a son, Ben Skywalker, who was just hitting adulthood and could have been a main character in a sequel trilogy. They erased the entire new Jedi Order which was full of interesting and diverse characters and room to add more. To wipe out the Jedi Order again because Kylo was angry and worshipped Vader for no good raisin, dishonoring his grandfather's ultimate redemption, was such a missed opportunity. They erased Anakin Solo. They had the opportunity to bring back good characters who had been killed off in NJO and beyond, and just tidy up the story lines a bit. Instead they acted like dozens of wonderful female Jedi (and non Jedi-characters) never existed. Legends had gotten a bit dark when Del Rey took over. They could have course corrected that and brought back the hope and optimism. Instead they went darker and lost the heart of the story. Visually, the sequels were fine, and it's not okay to harass actors for bad writing/production decisions. But they were designed as a hit piece to undermined the characters and accomplishments of the OT. I still think Disney needs to publicly apologize for those films and how the marketing was done. It was disrespectful to the lore and to the fandom. Star Wars was a gold tier franchise because it was an integrated multimedia experience, spanned hundreds of books, thousands of comics, short stories, reference material, roleplaying games, video games as well as the films that all built an opus that covered thousands of years of galactic history. And Disney treated with "too long, didn't read". A lot of the new shows are just kind of mediocre. And if you didn't know about all the stuff that came before, you might think you're at least getting something new. But so very little of it is new. It's just a sad retread or lack of understanding of what came before. Boba Fett had plenty of good novels, comics, short stories, etc. which made him such a popular and beloved character. He should have been easy to get right, but they didn't even respect the character enough to let him have all 8 episodes of his own show. Rancor riding was done back in the 90s with Courtship of Princess Leia, which also where the Night Sisters come from. It goes on and on. As archetypes, I like Finn and Rey, but as archetypes, those archetypes also had been set up as Ania Solo and Jao Assam who from what I understand were intended to be the leads in the next comic book series following Legacy that got cancelled. What we got makes us mad/disappointed. What keeps people angry is how the EU got rebranded as Legends and cut off, leaving that saga feeling incomplete. And it's just so much better...
I wonder If you think Star Wars is dead or not after The Acolyte. I think everyone has a tolerance threshold for Disney's Star Wars. For some people Star Wars died with the sequel trilogy. I think it ended with Obi-Wan Kenobi series with me. And a lot of people are waking up after the Acolyte and realize Disney just doesn't care about the characters and the story. They just care about money. I personally don't count Disney's Star Wars in my head canon. My canon is George Lucas's Star Wars and the expanded universe. And the phrase no one hates Star Wars more than Star Wars fans is just not true. Star Wars fans are the ones that love Star Wars the most. And it's disrespectful to call them haters. Star Wars fans hate what Disney has done to Star Wars. No one hates Star Wars more than Disney would be a better statement.
Eh i ueavily disagree with the Sequel defense they really dropped the ball, TLJ especially deserves the hate for ruining Luke and TFA shpuld get shit for Ruining Han Solo
Hot take: All of the recent stuff has been mostly not bad at all. Mostly. And in terms of "film quality" when was Star Wars really ever REALLY REALLY GOOD? What the first film (that stole from every genre) catching lightening in a bottle, and then followed by an excellent compelling second film, which was then followed by a totally padded third film? Years later the OT is followed by a film industry tech demo, which is then followed a half assed film, which is then followed by an pretty good star wars film that actually had something to say. Its always been a rocky road. But we love it anyway. THE IDEA OF IT IS FOREVER AWESOME.
Well imo andor and rogue one are better than a new hope, phantom menace and aotc combined, idk about rotj and esb because man i love han solo and chewy but i think andor and rogue one are better than half the prequels and 1/3 of the ots. It might not have jedi and sith but star wars isn't only about that, its about star WARS which andor and rogue one do have. because star wars is, yes, Jedi and sith but its also about the rebels WHICH ANDOR AND ROGUE ONE IS ABOUT, i understand that some of u may not like it or call it boring cuz theres no lightsabers but u cant deny that its star wars, because george lucas created the rebels, and thats exactly what the rebels are, ordinary humans who hate the empire and wanna do something for it. For DEMOCRACY XD
Uhh what? No. The show was horrible, id horrible and will remain horrible. They ruined kenobi. If u still think that kenobi is the best star wars show after that, then your standards r very very low. Which made me wonder if u liked the acolyte aswell 💀
Star wars is very good, i agree. But it is nowhere NEAR marvel. There are so many way better movies than the sw movies in marvel imo. Such as logan, deadpool 1, infinity war, endgame, guardians 3 and d&w BOTH OF WHOM WERE RELEASED RECENTLY!

When it comes to melee combat, the Clones stand no chance against the Sardaukar.
@@henryfurman28 howd that work out for em in bad batch and rebels

Why they would use melee combat if they can just shoot you point blank range?
@@ThegrandKrild You don't want to shoot a Sardaukar shield, it will cause a nuclear explosion
this was such a good video and I totally agree with what you said . Star Wars in so fire. Also fire editing.

Subbed for that, switch the order and its same here brother. Cheers for a good vid.
Thank you!!
It was the the G.O.A.T. now it's the float... in my toilet...FU Disney and Katherine Kenedy you destroyed my G.O.A.T.
I wouldn’t say destroyed but definitely hurt
Star wars is the number one movie in the 🌎 no other movie or TV show can beat star wars
Indeed it is... None like it, entirely no competition!!!
Well said youngen 🤌🏻
