@@mariaandbryan Burek in this form that you just ate was invented by Turks in Serbian city of Nish by Mehmed Oglu who was a Turk. Even today in Turkey you can find similar dish with cheese. So, not very accurate statement by fellow Bosnian. :) lol

hey quick suggestion how about putting price ranges instead of prices, honestly ive lived here for over a year and im pretty sure ive never seen a 750 rsd pljeskavica. average price is 250 going down to 120 even.
Hi there! We spent there over a month and we went to places locals reccommended us to go. We can only talk about the prices and things we experienced. We usually put the name of the place where we went in the description of the video so people know where we went and what we paid. We never add the price of any extras, like if we order beer or anything extra. We only put the price of the specific dish we talk about. If we would have found 250 and lower, we wouldn't have gone to the 750rsd as we travel with a tight budget. Maybe you can leave a few names of places in the comments so others can see and experience cheaper prices. Thanks for the suggestion

@@mariaandbryan that would be great, your welcome to come any time you want :) my region is called šumadija and there's a lot to see here and also great home made food, September is month when everyone is making ajvar😁
We heard September is a magic month there for Ajvar, for rakija, and much more 😍😍
I can't wait to go back home,i miss all our food
Where are you? When are you planning to go back?
It's pronounced KAYMAK, and it is salted clotted cream, not cream cheese. I am so glad you liked it!
Sorry and thank you so much! Saying it is like a cream cheese was for others who aren't familiar with it to have an understanding on texture and feeling, didn't mean to say it was cream cheese. We loved it!
Ooh nutella bread.. haha definitely a sweet snack 🙂❤
Sooo good
that beef patty looking thing looks super tender
Tender and it was really huge, like two Lieles faces kinda big
You guys know how to treat yourself 👏
We never go hungry 😂😂😂
So nice of them to hook you guys up with a freebie
We are blessed! They were sooo nice
Balkan food is simply The Best.

We wouldn't want Lieles to break his tongue, lol! That burger looked damn good... but think I'd like Maria's meal better!
Both were delish he liked the burger more but I felt like a kid eating the Karadjordjeva Snicla. So fried and so good
"And I'm recording you... with my eyes" ....wait for it.... "Your eyes have no memory or whatsoever" hahahaha!!! OMG love the blooper guys!! 😂😂😂😂
Hahahha he is so funny!!! Good thing I got him on camera otherwise he would say he didn't say that lol

Pjeskavica is a must try for all visitors, and I understand why is your favorite. We would love to eat it more often but it is hard to find Serbian restaurants everywhere, we will be back in September 😁☺

Hvala Vam mnogo! Prelepa zemlja sa sjajnim ljudima
God bless both of you.
Thank you! Blessings
Cevapi looks really interesting! Meat + bread yums! So, which is the right way to eat? with fork & knife or with hands? I feel like I'll go with hands like Maria hehe! and that drink, beer? :D
Either or, you just got to make sure you cut pieces instead of grabbing the whole dish like a burger.
It's so good! Serbian people we have met say that Serbian food is all about meat and bread lol
Kaymak baki to valja
You have to go to lukiev rostilj in zemun. Its very tasty
Awesome! Seafood or everything food? We are planning to go back next year and def would love to try some of the recommendations we are getting here
0:59 Did you know that when you say "Burek with cheese" one Bosnian dies (ofc its a joke, but also ''true'' :))
Hahaha maybe that's why someone left us a message saying it's not cheese burek, it's pita and burek is only meat lol
@@mariaandbryan Burek in this form that you just ate was invented by Turks in Serbian city of Nish by Mehmed Oglu who was a Turk. Even today in Turkey you can find similar dish with cheese. So, not very accurate statement by fellow Bosnian. :) lol
@@CrysisMan96 thanks for the note !
We ate it in Turkey too. ☺️
@Light Work thanks! That is what we learned while being there but as you can see we have so many messages saying otherwise... Burek and rakija has been the most confusing thing ever lol
We learn something while being there and then we are getting all kind of info in the comment section
@Light Work 🤣🤣🤣 yes
We are working on it lol
People is very passionate about their thoughts for sure.
But yes we have read about the history of burek and 100% what you explain here
Thank you!!
hey quick suggestion how about putting price ranges instead of prices, honestly ive lived here for over a year and im pretty sure ive never seen a 750 rsd pljeskavica. average price is 250 going down to 120 even.
