I appreciate your series of videos on the X739. I'm in the 'shopping' mode currently, and your videos were very helpful.

I do, still running like a champ. Just used it to plow snow this past week.

@@nopresetsnarklimit1675oh wow! that was going to be my next question. plowing snow. did you do a video of it? did you need chains on the tires? is that mower always in 4 wheel drive or do you ever run it in 2 wheel drive?

@@mrbubetube No video unfortunately, I'm usually a one man band in the snow. No chains needed, the HDAP tires are really excellent. The best answer to the 2/4 wheel drive question is....neither exactly, it's all wheel drive all the time but allows for "slip" so you don't get the chucking that occurs when you are a typical 4 lock and try to do a full turn. There is a pedal on the floorboard that turns it into essentially 4 lock, have never had to use it though.

The seat cover screws are TERRIBLE!! I added the armrests and stripped out one of the screws so bad I needed to drill it out! RIDICULOUS!!!

Great minds think alike……I used the cigarette plug adapter from my Battery Tender (which I installed on X738) which plugged right into my accessory port. Exact same sprayer.
But for me putting it together was a PIA.

Ha! I guess I was mentally prepared for a PIA from watching other videos, so I was surprised it worked out nicely. Interesting that you had success with the accessory port, I heard anecdotal reports that it would not and even sent an inquiry to the manufacturer and they said no bueno. I wonder if the cig adapter and circuitry from the battery tender is your success factor or if the newer 700 series models are wired differently to make it work where earlier models failed. I’ll definitely give my battery tender adapter a try first before I do a full scale wire routing and splicing job to go straight to the battery. You may have just saved me a lot of trouble. Thank you.

@@nopresetsnarklimit1675 When I first tried it this way I blew the factory battery tender fuse (thinks its only 3a fuse). Then I got some 10a fuses and been working fine ever since. I know nothing about wiring and such but do know I like this connection alot better than running that wiring harness down the side of my tractor. Just use the oem deere switch to turn on/off.

Neither machine has suspension. The x700's, like almost all riding mowers, have a front axle that can articulate a few degrees. Imagine how suspension on a mower would impact cut quality and you will understand why none have suspension. Tire diameter and air pressure are the main factors in ride quality. Large diameter tires can span and absorb surface anomalies better.
