    nice machine. but I think it's a shame that such a nice powerful heavy piece of equipment like that can only do 1 task, mow grass. with those tweels on the back, I'd think that thing would make a good snow plow, but they won't design any snow removal equipment for their zero turn mowers.

    • @nopresetsnarklimit1675
      @nopresetsnarklimit1675 5 місяців тому

      True! Tractors and lawn machines, like trailers, are very task specific, no one machine does it all as well as a dedicated machine/equipment does.

    • @mrbubetube
      @mrbubetube 5 місяців тому

      @@nopresetsnarklimit1675well, I'm not looking for a machine that does it all. I just think it's a shame that a large heavy powerful piece of equipment like that has to sit dormant for half the year or more when the grass isn't growing. I think it would make a good snow plow if they'd just make that attachment for it. then you could could fire it up during the winter and get some good use out of it. I'm curious to see if those tweels give good traction in the snow without chains.

      @@nopresetsnarklimit1675oh wow! that was going to be my next question. plowing snow. did you do a video of it? did you need chains on the tires? is that mower always in 4 wheel drive or do you ever run it in 2 wheel drive?

    • @nopresetsnarklimit1675
      @nopresetsnarklimit1675 5 місяців тому

      @@mrbubetube No video unfortunately, I'm usually a one man band in the snow. No chains needed, the HDAP tires are really excellent. The best answer to the 2/4 wheel drive question is....neither exactly, it's all wheel drive all the time but allows for "slip" so you don't get the chucking that occurs when you are a typical 4 lock and try to do a full turn. There is a pedal on the floorboard that turns it into essentially 4 lock, have never had to use it though.

    serious question why pay $16000 for this? and not just get a 1025r

    • @nopresetsnarklimit1675
      @nopresetsnarklimit1675 Рік тому

      Great question. Caveat: wasn’t $16,000 before Biden. Ultimately the answer lies in what is your main use case, mine is mowing and snow moving. The finish mowing is superior on this machine as compared to the 1025. Also tire tread damage plays a factor on grass. The 1025 would be a great choice where mowing is less important vs bucket or hoe, 3 point accessories etc.

      I am sad to tell you that when I purchased this pre-nonsense late 2020 I paid less for the Mower, with 54" Deck, with Mulch Control kit, with Quick Hitch Front Snow Plow Blade including hydraulic lifter, with Ballast Box with Quick Attach Rear Kit, with Front Fender Kit, with 5 years worth of home maintenance kits, and four extra sets of blades for less than the BASE price of just the mower NOW without any deck or accessories. Just the mower was $11,849 at the time, now it's $14,669. Today, with all the attachments and accessories you'd pay $20k minimum for my set-up. Put another way.... I also bought a new Z970R around the same time and if I took all the money I paid for both the X739 and Z970R together...today I could buy just ONE of them for the same money.
