I’d LOVE for you to rank all these tinted sunscreens on there coverage - for those of us who have uneven skin tone and freckles that we want to camouflage (but not with foundation) . ❤
Eucerin is the first brand I check for all my skin care needs. They don’t always have what I’m looking for, but they’re adding more products without getting rid of my ride or die OGs. Thanks, Dr. Dray. It’s always a pleasure to catch a new upload of yours. ☺️
@@DrDrayzday will do. Walgreens dropped my favorite sensitive skin sunscreen, last year. I bought the CeraVe, but being olive-ish yellow toned, I always need to cool it down with an all ver blush.
But eucerin has alcohol denat in it. Which is a bad alcohol for the skin. Can someone pls tell me hw come Dr dray is ok with it ? Is it ok for the skin ? I'm confused want to buy the eucerin that's y I'm asking thus
Myself and family members have been using this sunscreen for a few months now- pros and cons: pro- the easy to pump bottle keeps things clean and this has an almost foundation like build up. The tint (as a fair skin tone) is a little dark/orange-ish but it works and gives a sun kissed look for those with a lighter complexion. It "hides" redness well with good coverage. Slight scent (pro or con) but not very obvious. No issues with makeup over it or under it. Cons: it STINGS if you sweat into your eyes or swim. This was the same experience that 2 others in my family experienced after multiple uses. It stains everything...worse than other tinted sunscreens I've experienced...it does not dry down quickly so it will transfer to fabrics even after hours of wearing it. Price point: Target sold it for approx $14 for 1.7oz.
Thanks for that info! Super helpful. I have darker skin, so like the idea of a tinted sunscreen to help with the white cast. But, any tinted sunscreens that I have tried do stain/transfer and make a mess on clothes, towels, etc. Even if I just touch my face, it transfers to my fingers. I like the idea of a tinted sunscreen in theory, but have yet to find one that isn't a messy staining/transfer formula.
@@mce1939 I agree, the tinted mineral sunscreens get all over everything. I took the Neutrogena one back because of the staining. Also, hard to wash off at the end of the day.
Thanks for the info! I was wondering about the coverage, so thanks for addressing that. It’s too bad about the stinging and transfer. But I’m tempted to give it a try.
@@terrysmith5868 It’s too dark for me, too! It makes me look “tan.” I don’t care, though. I think it helps set down my other sunscreens and makes everything feel matte and not sticky. I go over it with a lighter powder, which helps a little. But I still love it for its matte-ness. ☺️
Both my son and I are hyper allergic to all chemical sunscreens. It is SO amazing that there are more and more new ones coming out! So many people simply can't tolerate chemical sunscreens, so I'm happy to see companies are responding to the needs of consumers!
I recently tried the tinted Australian Gold, my first tinted sunscreen and fell in love! It's better than my BB or CC creams. Doesn't settle in my wrinkles, no pilling or flaking, I just love it!
Thank you for the comment the Australian Gold tinted has been on my list to buy but have been watching other videos before I decide on the one I am most Interested in, your comment may have tipped the scales to keep that at the top of my list!
Australian Gold is my absolute favorite and my go to sunscreen. I am cooler toned so the tint is perfect for my skin and it is matte but not drying. I have tried this Eucerin one. It feels nice on the skin but it is shiny. Too much dimethicone for me. It is also a little bit more warm toned than I'd like. Overall it spreads well and does blend in well to skin.
@@Jacquelinesusanschmi I definitely remember that because I was afraid the company was discontinuing the product. I think it was either a demand or supply chain issue due to it being summer and no retailer I could find online had the product in stock. I normally try to pick up a tube or two to complete my Ulta orders to get free shipping since I know I’ll routinely use up the product so while I was nervous since I had an extra tube on hand I was able to wait for the restock.
I have been using the Eucerin tinted mineral sunscreen for a few weeks now and I love it. I can only use mineral due to burning from chemical sunscreens. It's actually a tad too "tan" for my complexion so what I do is I put some in my hand and then mix in a little bit of regular white zinc oxide mineral sunscreen (Banana Boat Baby Mineral SPF 50) and that lightens the tint and makes it perfect for me. One thing I don't like about the hard plastic pump bottle is there will come a point where the product is too low and the pump will no longer work but there will be a ton of product inside. With tubes you can cut the tube and get several more uses out of what's inside!
Airless pumps, which this sunscreen is in, usually don't leave any product inside. You can often forcibly remove the top of the bottle (may require pliers) if you want to verify.
Cerave has worked really well for me and when it runs low in the tube I cut off the bottom so as not to waste a single drop! Pumps are wasteful but I have taken a utility blade to the hard bottoms to scoop out the rest of the product. Frankly I think glass containers are great because glass is one of the BEST materials to recycle and reuse, almost forever. The only issue I have with Cerave is that it does have a cast on my skin which isn't grey but I put it on and lit settle and then I apply a darker makeup on top to get back my natural skin tone. If the Neutrogena has a selection of colors then I will try it for sure! I also want tell you that I purchased the Differin Dark Spot serum with 4 percent Niacinamide! I love it! I put it on first every day. I have hyper pigmentation that I have been working on for 5 years and having a product with more Niacinamide in it is exciting!!! Excellent video as always Dr Dray!!!
So funny, I do the same thing with the Cerave, I cut the bottom off! I dislike the tube. I also screw the lid off to squeeze it out because it is less messy that way. But I love the Cerave, it’s a good tint for my skin. It’s so moisturizing and makes my skin look “dewy”. It also kind of fills in my pores. I like it so much, I’m hesitant to try the other new ones. But I probably will…
Eucerin seems to be getting better and better! I always wanted them to have mineral sunscreen and I’m so glad they’ve caught on. Their COQ10 cream (the basic one) is my antiaging “grail” so to speak. The low price boggles the mind, and I am grateful for it!
I live in South Florida and a bit wiser in years so I have quite a routine for sunscreen application…😅 I prefer a mineral tinted one for face and love Ulta MD. I tried the Eucerin Age Defense and LOVE for neck and chest. Also use the body Eucerin lotion with sunscreen for arms and hands. I will try this one for the face now tried CeraVe and did not like it very greasy. Thanks for review!!!
Thanks! I prefer the new Neutrogena tinted one that you reviewed recently in the "light" color because I am actually very pale and it is actually the right color (!!!) but also because it is water resistant.
I bought the Eucerin Age Defense sunscreen SPF50 a couple months ago. Wow, I'm totally in love with that product. Looks like I'll be giving this a try also.
Looking forward to trying this. While I was on vacation in Florida last week, I purchased the Tinted Mineral Sunscreen by Neutrogena that you have been using. My Mom and sons all thought it was very good. Thanks for your reviews, it really helps me make good purchases.
I saw one I haven't heard others talk about at CVS yesterday: Cetaphil Sheer 100% Mineral Liquid Sunscreen for Face With Zinc Oxide Broad Spectrum SPF 50. It is water resistant. Would love to see it reviewed. It's about $14 at CVS but saw it for $10 at Walmart. Also says matte finish for us oily folks!
I love my eucerin daily moisturizer with SPF, it took me awhile to get used to the light white cast, I've purchased it 3 times now over any other. Always on the lookout for new eucerin face products.
I used Elta Md tinted for years but as I get ‘wiser’ and my hair gets whiter it was just too tinted and, as others have commented, the tinted sunscreens stain clothing. That resulted in me avoiding my chest area, developing a scary spot that seems to have resolved itself after a couple liquid nitrogen treatments. It’s still under observation by my dermatologist though. I think I’ll stick with my Korean non tinted favs
I tried the other Eucerin face sunscreen cause I use the Original healing and 48HR body lotion but it burned my eyes all day on a golf course and the breeze left no doubt to the origin of the burning! The Skin Aqua sold me way back instantly not clogging whiskers! 🤠👍🏻☕️
Hi Uncle Charlie! Happy Tuesday!! I haven't tried the sunscreen but I love the Eucerin body lotions. Hope you had a awesome day! Peace, joy and many blessings, friend. 🙏🕊☕😊
I've got oily/combo skin so I'm one of those people that really like a matte finish. This looks far less dewy than the new Neutrogena sunscreens did on your skin. Even the tint doesn't look too dark for someone as fair as I am so I may just bite the bullet and try it. Sadly, I like to stick with an SPF 50 or higher so I tend to hesitate buying these lower protection offerings. Great video!
I work in a pharmacy. It would be cool if you could go over prescription topical products. For example nystatin powder, imiquid cream packets, tacrolimus, mupirocin ointment, testosterone gel pumps, Premarin, silver sulfadiazine, dapsone gels, etc.
Hi Dr. Dray! Agree that Neutrogena mineral sunscreen packaging is SO messy! I’ve started storing it in a small cup, cap-end-up, so it doesn’t ooze out all over when opened. Worth the trouble as I love it for everyday wear & the fair shade is perfect for me. If I’m going to be in the garden all day, I use the Aussie Gold one. Not as cosmetically elegant but higher SPF and wears like iron - doesn’t sweat/rub off easily.
Dr Dray, I just want you to know that I have 2 whole drawer fulls of sunscreen because of you😂 (I also make videos reviewing them and trying ones out so they aren’t wasted! I keep up with expiration dates and which need to be used first!) And I am getting much better about reapplication! My favorite body spf at the moment is the banana boat light as air! Super comfortable to wear and not greasy or sticky at all! I’ve been loving Asian sunscreens for my face! Almost finished with the Hada labo UV White gel and just finished up the canmake mermaid skin gel UV! Love both!!
Iron oxides do actually offer some UVA protection, including in the near-visible range like Mexoryl 400! Exact absorbance curves depend on the shape and size of the particles, just like with other metal oxides 😃.
CeraVe was so orange and dark on my very light skin. I absolutely love the Neutrogena Purescreen Tinted for my perfect tint, but I am going to give the Eucerin a whirl (the pump is a bonus) and hope it is not too dark or orangish on my fair skin. Thanks, Dr. Dray!
Sorry to disappoint love🧡🥹 I’m thinking of trying those blue and white pigments to make it work! I’m just worried about altering the spf since it’s already spf 35. 😢
I got it a few weeks ago at Target, and I have to say, I really like it. I have a very light skin tone, and this sunscreen looks very nice and gives me a nice color. I've been enjoying it a lot! Thank u Dr Dray for all your wonderful videos and recommendations ❤❤❤
When I had PDT treatment last year, I received many Eucerin sunscreen samples. I liked the sensitive version best and every time I used it would say to myself, "I wish this was tinted." I'll give this a try.
I'm excited to try this new sunscreen from eucerin. Happy to hear it has a pump instead of the tube. I keep all of my tinted sunscreen tubes upside down with the cap on top to reduce the messy ooze that happens when it's opened. CeraVe's tube is the worst IMO with the messiest tube design.
This is very random and completely off-topic, but I just wanted to tell you, I finally tried Iherb, and I was so impressed with the variety of items to select from and how fast the shipping was! You weren’t kidding, I’ll definitely be ordering from them again.
I absolutely love the Neutrogena Mineral UV-TINT Sunscreen (medium shade) I didn't think another sunscreen could take me away from the Elta MD tinted sunscreen. But I reach for the Neutrogena everyday now. My foundation spreads over this sunscreen beautifully. I will try the Eucerine sunscreen soon. Love your channel.
I will definitely be giving this a try. I'm always searching for a nice tinted sunscreen to use during the warmer months when I don't want a layer of foundation on top of my Cetaphil moisturizer with sunscreen. Thanks for the review. Happy Tuesday, Dr Dray! Hope you have a relaxing evening. 💚
Yay!!! I just visited my dermatologist because a tinted sunscreen caused my skin to peel for week, very red almost like a burn. Topical hydrocortisone cleared it up.
Dr Dray I think you have single-handedly changed the industry?! Am I wrong?? Thank you for this, very promising from Eucerin! I use their night redness cream and sts their green tint cream.
Thank you for introducing us to so many tinted sunscreens…I have been using a chemical sunscreen from my aesthetician - but as a brown skinned Black woman, I’ve wanted the UVA and protection from hyperpigmentation that mineral sunscreens offer…I an currently alternating my chemical sunscreen with DRMTOLOGY tinted, which I love so far…so I think I’m leaning towards sticking to mineral…I’ll check out Neutrogena tinted next - good to try and use various sunscreens so I can have good coverage…Thanks…Dray….always great info!!!
I am LOVING the light makeup that accentuates your facial features (tinted lip balm, etc). When I first started watching you years ago, you never wore makeup....at the most, you just wore mascara. I think you look so pretty either way though.
Used this for the first time today. I was a bit nervous because my skin is so sensitive, acne prone, oily, and i have some scars so i was skeptical. But it did what it was supposed to do! It didn’t break me out and it didn’t make me more oily.
Can’t wait to order the eucerin SPF! I tried the neutrogena tinted one based on your reccomend Marion and I LOVE IT! Very comparable to my colorscience total face shield and half the price!! I agree with you on the packaging though! It’s so messy😭
Hello Dr. Dray, thank you for comparing these tinted sunscreens. I have been using the Cerave one and it works well. I will be trying the Eucerin one for sure.
The pump design is superior. However, when traveling by air, the tubes fit easier in the quart bag. So I keep both Neutrogena and Eucerin products on hand. Dig them both.
I love the Cerave. It looks good on my skin and is so moisturizing. Dislike the tube. I screw the top off and then squeeze. And I cut the bottom off when it gets down to the bottom (as another poster said). Not sure others will compare for me, but since Dr. Dray is recommending, maybe I’ll have to try.
I love, love using Korean chemical SPF 50 sunscreens all over my face, neck and chest. When it dries out, I apply in addition tinted sunscreens more like a makeup. This way I get very good sun protection, no issues with tinted sunscreen in my hairline or brow, no stains on my white tops.
@@mariumriaz5 I use it as a topper over a base layer of sunscreen so I don’t put a ton of it on and it doesn’t feel oily on me! I also didn’t notice it getting patchy with reapplication! I actually have a video a few videos ago on my channel showing the sunscreen and a reapplication!
High up on the ingredients list this contains butyloctyl salicylate, which is pretty much the same thing as ethylhexyl salicylate aka Octisalate, a chemical filter. So it's really a mineral/chemical hybrid SPF.
I’ve noticed that for some reason I can use water resistant sunscreens with avobenzone but not non-water resistant sunscreens with that filter. I assume it has something to do with formula stability, but figured I’d share in case anyone else also can’t usually use products with avobenzone! I just tried the sunbum glow 30 and it’s really nice!
I bought the cerave in the past. I ended up using it on my body. It was very greasy at first but did end up drying out my skin. Plus the color was bad for me. But great on my body!
Aveedo used to have a lovely tinted moisturizer with sunscreen, but discontinued it to my dismay. Such a long time user of this product. But glad to learn another trusted, affordable brand has stepped in to fill the void. Thanks for sharing.
The only sunscreens that don't irritate my eyes are the littllextra riceberry sunscreen ones. Other brands I’ve tried make me rinse my face within minutes due to severe irritation-even if I don’t get it near my eyes! So if you're experiencing similar issues, give it a go. I enjoy using it together with the Riceberry face wash and face serum as it completes my skincare routine and keeps my face looking radiant and clear.
She has reviewed that one. She suspected the kakadu plum that's in all of their sunscreens might not agree with her. But it's a favorite of The Budget Dermatologist and Dr. Sam Ellis likes it as well.
I have this sunscreen! A bit too orange for me similar to the Cereve one, so I mix in another non-tinted sunscreen. I think the absolute best one I've tried is Bliss Block Star invisible daily sunscreen. The packaging doesn't say tinted but it is and it's THE BEST.
Just an fyi - Dr. Dray has recommended not mixing sunscreens since mixing apparently impairs how the UV filters set up on the skin, thus not providing adequate sun protection. She recommends applying one sunscreen, allowing it to dry, then applying the other sunscreen. Just thought I'd comment incase you didn't know!
The Eucerin seems like a great option. Love that it's not water resistant since I want one for daily use. Now just to see how it works under makeup and that it won't cause breakouts 🤞
I have truly have learned so much since subscribing to you channel. I learned about u from Cassandra Bankson, on utube. The greatest gift I learned is because it costs more does not mean it's more effective, ( my hubby is super pleased about this also) I typically used ZO from obagi, 5 or 6 products was around 600$. I have recently wondered about a chemical peel. Thanku for the deep dive on that. I feel so much more informed, and can choose what's best for me. At 60 I was an 80's sun worshiper, paying the price now with hyperpigmation and wrinkles!! Being a light skinned blonde. It took me longer in the sun to be a bronzed beauty.. 😢 again, thanku thanku thanku. Look forward to all your new content!
I have the Neutrogena one and if you are clean and careful you don't lose any of the product. Definitely going to buy this new eucerin one, it looks great 👍🏼
Wow drugstore sunscreen has gone so far! I remember when I first stated getting into sunscreens around 2016 and there were so few options. Mineral sunscreens had a bad white cast and the chemical burned my eyes! It’s so exciting. So many affordable options now!
I'm loving the trend of tinted sunscreens. Hoping other brands follow.
👍🏼👍🏼
I’m hoping they’ll start making different shades!
I’m glad that tinted mineral sunscreen is becoming more widely available and affordable. I would love to see more SPF 50 options.
This!!!
Ik the cerave one is 30 spf which is better than nothing but still I'd rather have less spf and not look like a ghost

Love both!!
I like the banana boat too!
Thanks, Dr. Dray!
Sorry to disappoint love🧡🥹
I’m thinking of trying those blue and white pigments to make it work! I’m just worried about altering the spf since it’s already spf 35. 😢
Yup, I’d bet money just by looking at this Eucerin tint that it’s too dark for Fitzpatrick type 1s like myself.
Definitely worth a try! We would be lost without you. Thanks for sharing. You are so kind!
Same here. I got differin from them. And now eurcin age defense sunscreen. I herb is very good website
I’m currently standing in front of this item at cvs and had to look up how the tint blends out
Dr Dray FTW! 😆
I love Eucerin's dry touch tinted sunscreen. It's amazing and not orange at all.
We don’t have that one here, but their non-US sunscreens are great too
That sounds perfect
Red is your color! ❤
Thanks for your help.
Thank you for all the education on sunscreens! 🥰
Sooo glad you review this! I saw it at cvs and said to myself wait for Dr dray review 😂
That sunscreen looks fabulous on you, Dr. Dray.
Can’t wait to order the eucerin SPF! I tried the neutrogena tinted one based on your reccomend Marion and I LOVE IT! Very comparable to my colorscience total face shield and half the price!! I agree with you on the packaging though! It’s so messy😭
I would love to be able to buy more refill- or cardboard bottles - especially all the waste with sun- and haircare. 🌱
Finally! I’ve been buying Elta MD ‘s for years. Nice to have an affordable option! 😎
Thank you Dr Dray we can always count on you
Hello Dr. Dray, thank you for comparing these tinted sunscreens. I have been using the Cerave one and it works well. I will be trying the Eucerin one for sure.
Oh, I've been using this since it launched a month ago. Fantastic! I have very dry, mature skin and this is wonderful (even under makeup).
The pump design is superior. However, when traveling by air, the tubes fit easier in the quart bag. So I keep both Neutrogena and Eucerin products on hand. Dig them both.
You're the best Dr. Dray😊😊😊
Thanks for watching
I love the Cerave. It looks good on my skin and is so moisturizing. Dislike the tube. I screw the top off and then squeeze. And I cut the bottom off when it gets down to the bottom (as another poster said). Not sure others will compare for me, but since Dr. Dray is recommending, maybe I’ll have to try.
It would be useful if you swatched the different sunscreens to compare the tint color
Been a regular user of CeraVe tinted sunscreen since you recommended it, Dr. Dray. I have olive toned skin so I have no issues with the color.
This is a genuine question and not a joke. What to do about butt sweat/moisture for adults? Diaper rash cream? Or what?
The new Neutrogena sunscreen flared my rosacea so I look forward to trying the new Eucerin formula. Thanks for this review!
Just purchased. So many new mineral sunscreens out this season 😊
I’m so glad there are more tinted mineral sunscreen now
I was waiting for your review on this one. Thank you! Your hair looks so healthy and shiny.
Wow i guess 2023 is going to be the year of the affordable quality tinted sunscreen !? 😆🎉
I hope so!
So excited for all the new releases! I tried the neutrogena one and I love it! Very comparable to my colorscience and half the price!
@@SarahhhBeth does it feel oily on the skin? And since it's tinted, does it get patchy when you re-apply it?
@@mariumriaz5 I use it as a topper over a base layer of sunscreen so I don’t put a ton of it on and it doesn’t feel oily on me! I also didn’t notice it getting patchy with reapplication! I actually have a video a few videos ago on my channel showing the sunscreen and a reapplication!
High up on the ingredients list this contains butyloctyl salicylate, which is pretty much the same thing as ethylhexyl salicylate aka Octisalate, a chemical filter. So it's really a mineral/chemical hybrid SPF.
I love when you tell us about newly available sunscreens!!
The comparisons were very helpful. Thank you-
I am 61 with fair normal to dry sensitive skin and I love this. No burning. Love packaging. Layers well with makeup.
Dr. You look great in this color! Thanks for the eucerin update
Happy Tuesday Dr Dray 🌷and to everyone watching! Have a great day 😊
I bought the cerave in the past.
Thank you so much for the review. I always come back to your videos. You seem so honest and knoledgeable. 💜
Hi Dr Dray so excited to be here happy Tuesday I live this ❤️
Morning!
Always get excited with your sunscreen videos! Thank you!!
Thank you for agreeing that the Neutrogena is messy! I like it ok, but have you reviewed Australian Gold? It's SPF 50 and it great!
She has reviewed that one. She suspected the kakadu plum that's in all of their sunscreens might not agree with her. But it's a favorite of The Budget Dermatologist and Dr. Sam Ellis likes it as well.
One thing that has helped me with the tint transfer is to set it with a powder. It won’t make it transfer proof but it helps.
Supergoop glow screen will forever be my gold standard for tinted sunscreens!
You should try out that Kroger sunscreen she said was a dupe for the Supergoop. Then report back to us ha
@@ashmelia1238 i totally would except I live in the frozen tundra and there’s no Krogers here, but I’m on the hunt for the elf dupe to try!
Thank you for comparing the three of them!
Thanks for this video. Your maroon sweater is beautiful. UT is one of "your colors." You look so nice today.
I love the Eucerin age Defense
The Eucerin seems like a great option. Love that it's not water resistant since I want one for daily use. Now just to see how it works under makeup and that it won't cause breakouts 🤞
I really like Australian Gold Botanical Sunscreen Tinted Face BB Cream SPF 50.
That’s my favorite as well !
