Jon was the best chef I have ever seen in Hell's Kitchen besides Meghan. He was talented. Made almost no mistakes and suffered so much. Imagine winning every dish you had in challenges only for your team to keep making you lose.

Petrozza is still my personal favorite Hell's Kitchen contestant. He seems like a real stand-up guy. But sadly he passed away in 2019 due to lung cancer. :(

Here’s one possible idea: Biggest Chopping Block Assassins. In other words, chefs who were nominated a TON of times on their season, yet were saved multiple times. People like Virginia, Autumn, Scott, Clemenza, and Elise.
I'm currently watching Season 7 myself, I hate how the guys constantly assume Autumn has 0 passion and is a terrible chef, they literally think she's most deserving to be nominated on a night she made 0 mistakes swapping between every section.
@@chwaftka9775 it wasn’t just her fellow chefs. Even Ramsay seemed to have it out for Autumn that season for some reason. If you watch this channel’s video on Chefs Most Broken By Ramsay, he practically made Autumn his metaphorical punching bag that season the same way he did Ben on Season 5.
Susan and her raw lambs are so funny to me because every time she was like "THIS time I'm gonna redeem myself for Chef Ramsay 😤" and then everytime it was raw and it killed me 😊
Honestly, Susan and Cyndi didn't deserve to be in Black Jacket anyway. It should've been Michael and Anthony to replace them as those 2 along with Jon are the only competent Season 11 Blue Team members. Especially of how both of them lost to Zacky Wacky on elimination! Also, as soon as Ja'Nel got moved to Blue Team, Zach becomes the weakest link of the team because both of Ja'Nel and Jon are good. Nedra alsp could be in Black Jacket since in my opinion, she's not bad, she tries her best, but still fail anyway.
@@margarethmichelina5146To be fair and honest, Michael never stood out much as a great chef compared to Jon. Even before his final dinner service, his performances in most of the challenges were poor. I remember he served one of the judges tuff meat and in another challenge he served a steak still with blood on the plate. Sorry but I didn’t see him making it further than Cyndi, Susan or even Zach at that point so 9th place is fair enough for Michael. As for Nedra, a black jacket? Yeah right! She wasn’t always consistent on the line and whenever she was always about to get nominated for her terrible dinner services, she would flip out and try to throw one of her teammates under the bus instead. And her short time on the blue team, forget about it! She was a mess so it was her time to go. Now Anthony, it seems like people who say that he should of gone further clearly forget about his last couple of challenges before his final dinner service. He scored like 0-4 on a blind taste challenge and his dish for the best of the worst title was terrible(Jon won that challenge obviously). While I do agree that Zach had a much worse performance than him that night and he should of been in 7th place instead, it’s fair to say that Anthony would of probably been worse the next episode but if we’re gonna be fair, 6th place would of been a great choice too. Yeah sure Susan had a bumpy ride into the final 5, but to be fair, some of her performances on the challenges were pretty okay. We have to remember she was a rookie out of culinary school and we do gotta give her some slack for outlasting those who had much more experience than her who did much worse than her during challenges and dinner services. She may have not been the best contestant in that season but she did try at least. I rather her have the black jacket over Zach now lol.
But at least we saw them in the confessionals and their jackets hanging. Kevin was kicked from the kitchen, kicked from the blue team huddle, and we never heard anything further lol
I felt so bad for Jon watching season 11 He was so good and clearly a very talented chef, but his team constantly let him down In one episode, he got the highest scoring dish of both teams, but still lost because everyone else had really bad dishes. Honestly at times I felt like he deserved to not be part of the punishments cause he did great! His team is what let him down
Like Chef Ramsay said and I agree. Jon was and is the only bright spot of the Blue Team. Glad he is doing well and better. It was great to see him again in Season 21. 😊

Fun Fact: Season 8 was the 1st season I've ever watched from hell's kitchen, even though the cast is bad, it's enjoyable watching everyone make mistakes, plus it had Raj in it, which makes it more entertaining
@@chazztreat8317 it's giving the "anyone but him" kind of vibe from everyone lol, it's so obvious everyone was rooting for Nona to win, even Russell's brigade hated him and wished Nona defeated him, which she eventually did. It's like they only wanted Nona to win because they didn't want Russell to win.
I would love to see a “great chefs in awful seasons” or an “awful chefs in amazing seasons” video some day! Or like maybe a list of the absolute best chefs in amazing seasons (winners or not). Love the channel!
I'm going to have to disagree about Christina from season 4. She had a better final service (albeit Petrozza is awesome but Christina was able to handle the problematic element of her brigade better), stood out once they hit the black jackets during the challenges and was once named "Best of the Worst." Two of the times she was nominated for elimination was not based off of performance, but based off of Cory trying to get rid of her because she thought that Christina was being a show-off, and the second time Rosann decided to manipulate everyone so she wouldn't go home despite a horrible performance. IDK, maybe because I've been in the same position as Christina, I sympathize with her.
She's also one of the most successful chefs to come from the show, as she has a Michelin Star for crying out loud! Listen. If you are able to get a Michelin Star, that must mean you're one of the best winners, as not many chefs from this show other than she and Declan can say that they hold one let alone THREE.
I don’t know if I’m being completely honest and fair I thought Cory deserved to win. Yes Christina was more passionate. Yes Petrozza was perhaps the kindest contestant ever Cory was ready,handled pressure and could make the tough calls. Wouldn’t need Much coaching. I didn’t love her personality but I grew to respect her and really thought she was the strongest of the cast. Except Ben. He was great. Gordon just hated him

He also saved her on the chopping block I believe twice despite her honestly being the weakest on at least 1 of the occasions Also he literally told her if she left a hot handle over the counter again to get out. She IMMEDIATELY did it and I was shocked how easy he went on her. He really seemed to treat her more with kid gloves.
You know we have some bad casts when Season 16 isn't on here. Guess the talents of Heather, Heidi, Ryan and Andrew to a lesser extent really carried that season.
I mean come on that red team was fire, they won 8 services, including a perfect opening night. That definitely counts because in newer seasons you're typically going into a dual loss if you're not completing services past the second service
As much as sucks the Blue Team S16 with nasty personalities like Matt, Johnny, Andrew and Paulie (R.I.P Paulie) as they got kicked out 7 times on dinner services, they mostly dominated the Red Team on challenges. Meanwhile, the Blue Team S11 is just sucks either in dinner services and challenges and they only won 2 challenges! And poor Jon who has facing too many punishments most of the time even though he mostly dominated the challenges but his teammates suck!

@margareth michelina Trust me, if this was a personality based list then I wouldn't have mentioned Andrew, as he did probably one of the most scummiest things on the entire show. But you cannot deny that he had talent, especially compared to the other mediocre to bad chefs in that season.
Flynn, I suggest you to make a list of Dumbest Challenges Mistakes on Hell's Kitchen that cause the team lose the challenge. -Season 9: Elizabeth who's always on her Lalaland gave the wrong information to Red team when there are 3 guests for Reunion Dinner Service. The guests ask them to make Hawaiian Theme with Seafood Dishes since one of them is Pescatarian (only eat fish not meat) but she told the team to make Asian theme with Surf N Turf Dishes. Also, Carrie couldn't shut up when the guests are judging their food even Elise was embarrased. -Season 6: When Andy who works with Dave suggesting him to put Apple Compote on Calorie Dessert and the result, the Dessert looks pathetic. Dave who presented it felt embarrased and made Chef Ramsay laughed. -Season 15: Joe ate a piece of a lobster and made his plate looks empty while presenting it to Chef Ramsay or Jackie and Kristin put apples on their dishes especially on hot dog. Who the hell is eating hot dog with raw apples? -Season 13: Sade who made a dog food and thought she was cooking for the dogs on dog show. Eventually, her dish got dropped out for horrible presentation. -Season 19: Kori put a molè sauce on her enpinada dish but the result is terrible even Aàron Sanchez as the guest judge at the time said it's not a good idea. What's more embarrasing is Kori is Half-Mexican. Season 18: Either the time Brett made a canned tomato soup while presenting it to Chef Ramsay and the guest judges or the time T convinced everyone to drop Kanae's dish only for her dish to be the worst and while Chef Ramsay and the guest judge, Richard Blais, tasted Kanae's dish, they said, they would give her 8 / 10. -Season 3: The infamous wedding duck breast where Melissa who overcooked the duck breast because she took too long on the oven because she was busy "leading the team" and tried to blame to Julia even though she was the one who put in the oven! When they presented it to Chef Ramsay and the wedding couple, Melissa attempted to not send it and Jen who has to represent it felt embarrased. The duck just look pathetic with lot of cuts and no garnishes since they ran out of time and it's hard to get cut. Edit: I forgot to put the last one.
Also in Season 9, Krupa making a dish with filet mignon when she was assigned veal. Ramsay and the guest judge said the dish was good, but it was disqualified for her using the wrong protein. That dish also caused the red team to lose the challenge, and Krupa was even nominated for elimination that episode due in part to that challenge mistake!
-Season 7: signature dish challenge, Jaime serving chicken that still had a toothpick in it -Season 14: Greek food challenge, Josh serving a dish with a pool of blood around it
Season 6 - the party for the staff sgt where Robert and Suzanne had to listen to the woman telling her husband's favorite dishes and she said grilled lobster tail but Suzanne broiled it and they lost the challenge.
I have always measured the collective talent of an HK cast by seeing how far into the competition they got before Ramsey's post-elimination stinger was complimentary.

Hot take: S15's blue team wasn't that bad Sure, they lost a lot, but I feel that a lot of their members go uncredited. -Jared was a fine 4th placer -I'm not really going to defend Frank -Chad was awesome, and got totally robbed by the red team blaming him for their service -Joe sucked in service but was great in challenges -And Hassan, while he fell off hard, started extremely well
Chad and Hassan got drained by the toxicity of The Red Team especially by Ariel and Jackie. Jared is not bad but yeah, even though his relationship with Ashley is awkward and cringe most of the time, I'd rather have him in Black Jacket over sexist Frank because he at least respect women.
My cousin was at one of the dinner services in season 15! The restaurant called her and told her that the cast would be filming that day. Her family could have either come in the next evening or keep the reservation. You see for like a split second on the 3rd dinner service.

I'd like to see a video on the biggest HK hothead moments. Some of my picks include: -Russell threatening Trev in the final 5 of S8 -Robin going full time bomb on Kimmie in S10 -Sabrina going after Melissa in S8 -Jason screaming at Sandra when she told him about his raw chicken that wasn't fired in S12 (which I felt she deserved for jumping on his station and trying to take action before he could explain himself) -The blue team's temper tantrum in S16 after getting kicked out of the 2nd dinner service
You can also add: Season 8: Louis, Boris, and Vinny getting angry at Raj after the 2nd Dinner service Season 11: Jeremy getting angry at Zach, and/or Michael and Dan arguing in the middle of the 3rd Dinner service, and/or Ray and Dan arguing after the 5th Dinner Service Season 12: Jason and Mike almost fighting Season 14: Millie getting angry at Brendan for no reason... Season 16: Koop smashing a chair, and Gia and Kimberly arguing. Season 17: Michelle vs Elise Season 19: Declan fighting with Marc before the Wedding Brunch Challenge ended.
Even though the Season 8 cast suck, the train wreck of the season makes it so enjoyable to watch. Jillian should have been in the finals over Nona; she won because she had a good palate.
Can you imagine real restaurants functioning this way? Your order gets screwed up and instead of getting your food late you don't get it at all because the chefs got kicked out of the building....there wouldn't be a restaurant business left in America.
@@JWReichert it has been shown before that Ramsey and his sous chefs would finish orders when an entire team gets kicked out. They even show in one season where the black jackets had to fight against Ramsey and his sous chef during dinner service and Ramsey's team won it. I heard of this info so not 100% certain on this but the customers are entering in knowing they may not get served and if they don't they still get catered afterwards
Not just them. According to Kevin, the runner up from season 6, the people washing dishes in the back also take over as line cooks. Everyone who dines there will get fed eventually.
It’s not a restaurant, it’s a studio. All the guests are paid to be there and recruited through talent agencies. So it is not a restaurant at all, no one is paying for food and the people who go are not there to eat but there to be on the show.
Here’s an idea: Chefs that deserved a second chance after having one bad service and getting eliminated instead of people who had so many chances. Hassan and Alison would definitely be on this list.

Season 4 is one of my all time favorite seasons... Matt was just the right amount of crazy. Enough to be entertaining but not enough to try to fight chef Ramsay.
In my opinion, Christina, Cory and Petrozza were the best chefs in their teams. with having Jen and Matt tanking them. they got better, Sure all three of them had rough moments in the kitchen. but, Christina and Cory had formed a bond and became friends because they had to carry the Red Team since Matt was dead weight, And Petrozza was getting better and better. if he were younger then he was during this season he in my opinion would have won over Christina.
I have a theory that it wasn't just because Petrozza was 49, we've seen older contestants win it, Cori and Alex. So S1 was a Male vs Male final, so S2 had to be a Female vs Female final which also makes sense why Virginia made it to the final over Keith, S3 was a Male vs Male final and so because Rock won it, season 4 had to be the same, but a female winning it

I know it’s a loose concept, but I’d like to hear your thoughts on the Black Jacket Curse-last to get a black jacket is the first to go home. There’s too many of those eliminations for it to be a coincidence.
Season 4 Christina and Season 12 Scott have similar journey. They are in my top favourite winners. Both extremely underrated and their teams wanting to get rid of them. Ramsey simply saw that they deserve a chance to progress. Both of them handled final service well.
Anthony was very good, much like Jon. The best of that Blue Team. It's often forgotten, Anthony was injured on a challenge. He persist without excuses.
I think Petrozza's moment of him ready to quit is blown hilariously out of proportion. I went through basic training, and had wanted to quit from the pressure multiple times. Does that make me a bad Airman? No (there were other reasons, but that was years ago). Petrozza just cracked under pressure, and you can’t tell me 99% of the people in the comments wouldn't do the exact same thing. Sometimes you need a pick-me-up, and Petrozza got it, and proved that he was an MVP from then to the end.
Here's a few possible ideas: The HK history of the Nicest Chefs, history of the most villainous chefs, and a ranking each finale service (the final 2 contestants and how they handled their chosen brigades).
The only chef I even liked out of season 8 was Trev, solely because Trev kinda reminds me of me. Trev was the recluse of season 8 almost, for some reason the guy that hardly anybody wanted to cook with or be around, even for being very very talented. Especially In season 18, when his rivalry with Scotley was at its boiling point, Trev stood his ground and out cooked him. It really seemed he kept getting nominated because “He was Trev”, and he was a very very easy target. Still my 3rd favorite chef in the entire show, behind season 11 Jon and seasons 14/18 Bret.
Always kinda felt bad for him. He might not have been the best ever but I felt he got picked on a bit much. Granted Russel and Sabrina make almost anyone tolerable.
Video suggestion: Top 10 Hell’s Angels. HK is notable for its less than reputable personalities and all-round awful contestants, maybe a list of the ten contestants who were the complete opposite would show that not all HK contestants are full of narcissists, ego-maniacs and man/woman children.
Unpopular opinion: Virginia really wasn't all that bad. She had some bad moments for sure and was close to elimination at one point but she bounced back mostly got along ok especially when people weren't actively trying to sabotage her. She was more generally competent than most of the other chefs that season.
It’s a fine opinion, but it doesn’t justify putting her above Keith. Keith would have won the season if it weren’t for Chef Ramsay favoring Virginia for whatever reason
@@PWBS-yc6xi Maybe, I'm not going to quibble, I will say I think most of the time when there's some "weird" elimination it's because chef ramsey has already decided that that person isnt going to the the winner. I think he'd already decided on heather at that point so it's sort of moot which order he eliminates the rest and obviously, TV show, they like the drama.
Watching smooth brain chefs get yelled at is amazing. I think they vet these people as little as possible bc they know Gordon will flip tf out and it’s television gold

I honestly like Trev, not a top-tier chef (though he almost made it to black jackets in two seasons) but he has a lot of passion and I find him kinda funny.
Kevin's elimination remains one of the coldest moments in HK history. Gets literally thrown out of the kitchen, with Gordon threatening the rest of the team with leaving after. Kevin doesn't even get any final words, he just vanishes.
Definitely agree about season 8 being the worst. Not one likeable person in that season apart from maybe Jillian, but she couldn't lead a pass without screaming. Also had the biggest a-hole in HK history, Russell. Didn't like Nona, but don't feel she's the worst HK winner. For me, that's probably Holli from season 7.
A shame about Petrozza. I really was rooting for him, though I'll admit with hindsight he probably would've burned out quickly of his new role if he did win.
Keith and Heather were definitely the 2 best out of that season. I still am truly disappointed Ramsay kept Virginia instead of Keith, even getting called out for being biased by Keith. This was definitely a biased choice from Ramsay/whoever is directing the show and told Ramsay to take Virginia instead. The finals of that season was a no brainer, Virginia simply had no chance going up against a strong contender like Heather. Only Keith could have made a real difference, but I guess they wanted to wrap that season asap due to the trash contestants aside from those 2.
Keith and Heather are the top 2 that we wanted but too bad Keith's attitude sucks and he has no leadership. Virginia is mostly good at challenges but sucks at dinner service same as Mia, runner up of season 18. She's even admitting that she's not the best chef in *Black Jacket Round* and even telling that she picks her teammates for final dinner service not because they're the strongest but instead it's the other way around. Seriously, what is wrong with her?
It was mostly because Keith tanked it when running the pass whilst Virginia had an insanely good service that night somehow. It still baffles me how Virginia even made it that far though, like even as bad as that season was Garrett was an easy choice over her, she should’ve never seen the black jackets let alone a finalist jacket.
@Skorpion My only guess is that due to her winning the taste it, now make it challenge that episode. As a reward, Gordon showed her how to lead the kitchen and Virginia got to practice it before the actual service.
I pretty much agree with you about series 8 except for Jillian who was consistently strong except for 2 services and even those she improved greatly after being shown what she was doing wrong she only didn't make it to the final because Trev was screwing up so much when she was running the pass but at that point no one had booted a chef from the kitchen when they were running the pass so I'm not sure what she was supposed to do, I'm pretty positive that she would have got the title if she'd been allowed to the final as no way Ramsay was giving the title to a chef that nearly started a fist fight in the service and Nona's performance in the final was not that good further proof is that when Jillian returned she still put in a good performance whereas Nona did not.
I'm gonna play the devil's advocate here for Raj: He at least had some semblance of an idea of what he was doing and his night 2 nomination is a bit bs IMO as Vinny screwed him. That's something chefs like S6 Louie, Nicole and Mike from S12 can't say as they were useless in every sense and were absolutely clueless
I am surprised that season 16's cast isn't here, I can't even remember one service before the final seven service that both teams actually finished, basically for that season meaning if your team got kicked out, you got to nominate two people unless told otherwise
Honestly, even though that Blue Team got kicked out 7 times on dinner services, they mostly dominated at challenges. Ryan, Heather and Heidi are the most talented top 3 ever as none of them ever got nominated at once. But, still, I think Heidi should be in the final over Heather.
How is season 15 on this list? Like every HK fan thinks it’s one of the best seasons from a tv perspective and a talent perspective. Literally this guy is the only HK UA-camr of fan that I have seen think season 15 is one of the worst. Pretty much everyone says it is at least top 10 in the series. What does this guy have against season 15?
Virginia was so lucky to be the runner up. I thought I was the only one. Season 10 should be an honourable mention. I’m almost through the season and the best chef (kimmie) the one I thought would win just got voted out so. I have no clue who’s even in the running.
Part of me would be intrigued by an HK season pitting a team of chefs against a team of particularly good home cooks. Not to embarrass the home cooks, obviously, but as a genuine attempt to see where their ceiling is in comparison to the chefs. We've seen some truly awful teams of chefs; maybe the cast of Season 8 would've been more interesting to watch if one of the teams was a bunch of Masterchef finalists? Edit: There is a history of HK contestants without any brigade experience doing reasonably well, so I don't think this hypothetical team would flame out immediately.

8:30 very small mistake, season 3 *technically* had 1 more chef, making 13 chefs initially intentioned to feature on the season, but one was disqualified from the season mid-sig dish, & attempted to be hidden by editing.

Wouldn’t say 15 is one of the worst it had Ariel, Kristin, Ashley, Jared, Dannie, Chad, Hassan and Eddie are all pretty solid which is more than a lot of seasons
The fact that Raj managed to place 13th in a 16 person cooking contest is phenomenal.
The fact that he survived three dinner services and didn’t get ejected is phenomenal as well.

Honestly, Susan and Cyndi didn't deserve to be in Black Jacket anyway. It should've been Michael and Anthony to replace them as those 2 along with Jon are the only competent Season 11 Blue Team members. Especially of how both of them lost to Zacky Wacky on elimination!
Also, as soon as Ja'Nel got moved to Blue Team, Zach becomes the weakest link of the team because both of Ja'Nel and Jon are good. Nedra alsp could be in Black Jacket since in my opinion, she's not bad, she tries her best, but still fail anyway.

Even before his final dinner service, his performances in most of the challenges were poor. I remember he served one of the judges tuff meat and in another challenge he served a steak still with blood on the plate. Sorry but I didn’t see him making it further than Cyndi, Susan or even Zach at that point so 9th place is fair enough for Michael. As for Nedra, a black jacket? Yeah right! She wasn’t always consistent on the line and whenever she was always about to get nominated for her terrible dinner services, she would flip out and try to throw one of her teammates under the bus instead. And her short time on the blue team, forget about it! She was a mess so it was her time to go. Now Anthony, it seems like people who say that he should of gone further clearly forget about his last couple of challenges before his final dinner service. He scored like 0-4 on a blind taste challenge and his dish for the best of the worst title was terrible(Jon won that challenge obviously). While I do agree that Zach had a much worse performance than him that night and he should of been in 7th place instead, it’s fair to say that Anthony would of probably been worse the next episode but if we’re gonna be fair, 6th place would of been a great choice too. Yeah sure Susan had a bumpy ride into the final 5, but to be fair, some of her performances on the challenges were pretty okay. We have to remember she was a rookie out of culinary school and we do gotta give her some slack for outlasting those who had much more experience than her who did much worse than her during challenges and dinner services. She may have not been the best contestant in that season but she did try at least. I rather her have the black jacket over Zach now lol.

I'm going to have to disagree about Christina from season 4. She had a better final service (albeit Petrozza is awesome but Christina was able to handle the problematic element of her brigade better), stood out once they hit the black jackets during the challenges and was once named "Best of the Worst." Two of the times she was nominated for elimination was not based off of performance, but based off of Cory trying to get rid of her because she thought that Christina was being a show-off, and the second time Rosann decided to manipulate everyone so she wouldn't go home despite a horrible performance. IDK, maybe because I've been in the same position as Christina, I sympathize with her.
I don't know how things progressed later on but she was the most winning chef as far as the challenges went as well
She's also one of the most successful chefs to come from the show, as she has a Michelin Star for crying out loud! Listen. If you are able to get a Michelin Star, that must mean you're one of the best winners, as not many chefs from this show other than she and Declan can say that they hold one let alone THREE.

You know we have some bad casts when Season 16 isn't on here. Guess the talents of Heather, Heidi, Ryan and Andrew to a lesser extent really carried that season.
I mean come on that red team was fire, they won 8 services, including a perfect opening night. That definitely counts because in newer seasons you're typically going into a dual loss if you're not completing services past the second service
As much as sucks the Blue Team S16 with nasty personalities like Matt, Johnny, Andrew and Paulie (R.I.P Paulie) as they got kicked out 7 times on dinner services, they mostly dominated the Red Team on challenges. Meanwhile, the Blue Team S11 is just sucks either in dinner services and challenges and they only won 2 challenges! And poor Jon who has facing too many punishments most of the time even though he mostly dominated the challenges but his teammates suck!

@margareth michelina Trust me, if this was a personality based list then I wouldn't have mentioned Andrew, as he did probably one of the most scummiest things on the entire show. But you cannot deny that he had talent, especially compared to the other mediocre to bad chefs in that season.
Flynn, I suggest you to make a list of Dumbest Challenges Mistakes on Hell's Kitchen that cause the team lose the challenge.
-Season 9: Elizabeth who's always on her Lalaland gave the wrong information to Red team when there are 3 guests for Reunion Dinner Service. The guests ask them to make Hawaiian Theme with Seafood Dishes since one of them is Pescatarian (only eat fish not meat) but she told the team to make Asian theme with Surf N Turf Dishes. Also, Carrie couldn't shut up when the guests are judging their food even Elise was embarrased.
-Season 6: When Andy who works with Dave suggesting him to put Apple Compote on Calorie Dessert and the result, the Dessert looks pathetic. Dave who presented it felt embarrased and made Chef Ramsay laughed.
-Season 15: Joe ate a piece of a lobster and made his plate looks empty while presenting it to Chef Ramsay or Jackie and Kristin put apples on their dishes especially on hot dog. Who the hell is eating hot dog with raw apples?
-Season 13: Sade who made a dog food and thought she was cooking for the dogs on dog show. Eventually, her dish got dropped out for horrible presentation.
-Season 19: Kori put a molè sauce on her enpinada dish but the result is terrible even Aàron Sanchez as the guest judge at the time said it's not a good idea. What's more embarrasing is Kori is Half-Mexican.
Season 18: Either the time Brett made a canned tomato soup while presenting it to Chef Ramsay and the guest judges or the time T convinced everyone to drop Kanae's dish only for her dish to be the worst and while Chef Ramsay and the guest judge, Richard Blais, tasted Kanae's dish, they said, they would give her 8 / 10.
-Season 3: The infamous wedding duck breast where Melissa who overcooked the duck breast because she took too long on the oven because she was busy "leading the team" and tried to blame to Julia even though she was the one who put in the oven! When they presented it to Chef Ramsay and the wedding couple, Melissa attempted to not send it and Jen who has to represent it felt embarrased. The duck just look pathetic with lot of cuts and no garnishes since they ran out of time and it's hard to get cut.

Also in Season 9, Krupa making a dish with filet mignon when she was assigned veal. Ramsay and the guest judge said the dish was good, but it was disqualified for her using the wrong protein. That dish also caused the red team to lose the challenge, and Krupa was even nominated for elimination that episode due in part to that challenge mistake!
Season 1: Ralph telling Andrew to serve peaches with a ribeye.
-Season 7: signature dish challenge, Jaime serving chicken that still had a toothpick in it
-Season 14: Greek food challenge, Josh serving a dish with a pool of blood around it
Season 6 - the party for the staff sgt where Robert and Suzanne had to listen to the woman telling her husband's favorite dishes and she said grilled lobster tail but Suzanne broiled it and they lost the challenge.

-Chad was awesome, and got totally robbed by the red team blaming him for their service

-And Hassan, while he fell off hard, started extremely well
Chad and Hassan got drained by the toxicity of The Red Team especially by Ariel and Jackie. Jared is not bad but yeah, even though his relationship with Ashley is awkward and cringe most of the time, I'd rather have him in Black Jacket over sexist Frank because he at least respect women.

Not just them. According to Kevin, the runner up from season 6, the people washing dishes in the back also take over as line cooks. Everyone who dines there will get fed eventually.

So it is not a restaurant at all, no one is paying for food and the people who go are not there to eat but there to be on the show.

Season 4 is one of my all time favorite seasons... Matt was just the right amount of crazy. Enough to be entertaining but not enough to try to fight chef Ramsay.

In my opinion, Christina, Cory and Petrozza were the best chefs in their teams. with having Jen and Matt tanking them. they got better, Sure all three of them had rough moments in the kitchen. but, Christina and Cory had formed a bond and became friends because they had to carry the Red Team since Matt was dead weight, And Petrozza was getting better and better. if he were younger then he was during this season he in my opinion would have won over Christina.
I have a theory that it wasn't just because Petrozza was 49, we've seen older contestants win it, Cori and Alex. So S1 was a Male vs Male final, so S2 had to be a Female vs Female final which also makes sense why Virginia made it to the final over Keith, S3 was a Male vs Male final and so because Rock won it, season 4 had to be the same, but a female winning it

Season 4 Christina and Season 12 Scott have similar journey. They are in my top favourite winners. Both extremely underrated and their teams wanting to get rid of them. Ramsey simply saw that they deserve a chance to progress. Both of them handled final service well.
Anthony was very good, much like Jon. The best of that Blue Team. It's often forgotten, Anthony was injured on a challenge. He persist without excuses.

I think Petrozza's moment of him ready to quit is blown hilariously out of proportion.
I went through basic training, and had wanted to quit from the pressure multiple times. Does that make me a bad Airman? No (there were other reasons, but that was years ago). Petrozza just cracked under pressure, and you can’t tell me 99% of the people in the comments wouldn't do the exact same thing.
Sometimes you need a pick-me-up, and Petrozza got it, and proved that he was an MVP from then to the end.
S2 should be #1 on the list regardless of half of the chefs not being professionals.

The only chef I even liked out of season 8 was Trev, solely because Trev kinda reminds me of me.
Trev was the recluse of season 8 almost, for some reason the guy that hardly anybody wanted to cook with or be around, even for being very very talented. Especially In season 18, when his rivalry with Scotley was at its boiling point, Trev stood his ground and out cooked him.
It really seemed he kept getting nominated because “He was Trev”, and he was a very very easy target.
Still my 3rd favorite chef in the entire show, behind season 11 Jon and seasons 14/18 Bret.
Always kinda felt bad for him. He might not have been the best ever but I felt he got picked on a bit much. Granted Russel and Sabrina make almost anyone tolerable.

Unpopular opinion: Virginia really wasn't all that bad. She had some bad moments for sure and was close to elimination at one point but she bounced back mostly got along ok especially when people weren't actively trying to sabotage her. She was more generally competent than most of the other chefs that season.
It’s a fine opinion, but it doesn’t justify putting her above Keith. Keith would have won the season if it weren’t for Chef Ramsay favoring Virginia for whatever reason

I think he'd already decided on heather at that point so it's sort of moot which order he eliminates the rest and obviously, TV show, they like the drama.

Watching smooth brain chefs get yelled at is amazing. I think they vet these people as little as possible bc they know Gordon will flip tf out and it’s television gold

I honestly like Trev, not a top-tier chef (though he almost made it to black jackets in two seasons) but he has a lot of passion and I find him kinda funny.

Trev did make the Black Jackets in Season 8. But came close in Season 18. But I like him too overall. He has my respect.
The only I can admire about Trev is his underdog status and his 3 packs of day voice.
Kevin's elimination remains one of the coldest moments in HK history. Gets literally thrown out of the kitchen, with Gordon threatening the rest of the team with leaving after. Kevin doesn't even get any final words, he just vanishes.
I'm surprised Lacey ain't in this list. Remeber when she got eliminated during service and said multiple times before ''I cAn'T cOoK mEaT''?
Definitely agree about season 8 being the worst. Not one likeable person in that season apart from maybe Jillian, but she couldn't lead a pass without screaming. Also had the biggest a-hole in HK history, Russell. Didn't like Nona, but don't feel she's the worst HK winner. For me, that's probably Holli from season 7.
For Season 11, Jon and Anthony deserved much better than the had and if they did a another all star they should absolutely return.
Jon should've at least been given an exception to join the winning team for one of the celebrations given how unfair his own team sucks

A shame about Petrozza. I really was rooting for him, though I'll admit with hindsight he probably would've burned out quickly of his new role if he did win.

Jen and Corey inconsistent? Jen was BoB once and Corey was BoW twice getting nominated just twice.
Keith and Heather were definitely the 2 best out of that season. I still am truly disappointed Ramsay kept Virginia instead of Keith, even getting called out for being biased by Keith. This was definitely a biased choice from Ramsay/whoever is directing the show and told Ramsay to take Virginia instead.
The finals of that season was a no brainer, Virginia simply had no chance going up against a strong contender like Heather. Only Keith could have made a real difference, but I guess they wanted to wrap that season asap due to the trash contestants aside from those 2.
Keith and Heather are the top 2 that we wanted but too bad Keith's attitude sucks and he has no leadership. Virginia is mostly good at challenges but sucks at dinner service same as Mia, runner up of season 18. She's even admitting that she's not the best chef in *Black Jacket Round* and even telling that she picks her teammates for final dinner service not because they're the strongest but instead it's the other way around. Seriously, what is wrong with her?
It was mostly because Keith tanked it when running the pass whilst Virginia had an insanely good service that night somehow. It still baffles me how Virginia even made it that far though, like even as bad as that season was Garrett was an easy choice over her, she should’ve never seen the black jackets let alone a finalist jacket.
Virginia is the worse runner-up of all-time. But Keith's attitude absolutely stank in that final service.
@Skorpion My only guess is that due to her winning the taste it, now make it challenge that episode. As a reward, Gordon showed her how to lead the kitchen and Virginia got to practice it before the actual service.

I pretty much agree with you about series 8 except for Jillian who was consistently strong except for 2 services and even those she improved greatly after being shown what she was doing wrong she only didn't make it to the final because Trev was screwing up so much when she was running the pass but at that point no one had booted a chef from the kitchen when they were running the pass so I'm not sure what she was supposed to do, I'm pretty positive that she would have got the title if she'd been allowed to the final as no way Ramsay was giving the title to a chef that nearly started a fist fight in the service and Nona's performance in the final was not that good further proof is that when Jillian returned she still put in a good performance whereas Nona did not.
The problem is Jillian had the worst pass performance of the final, it wasn't Trev's fault
Petrozza might not have been the best, but I loved him! He had a special place in my heart. Every episode I wanted to see him succeed

He at least had some semblance of an idea of what he was doing and his night 2 nomination is a bit bs IMO as Vinny screwed him.
That's something chefs like S6 Louie, Nicole and Mike from S12 can't say as they were useless in every sense and were absolutely clueless
I am surprised that season 16's cast isn't here, I can't even remember one service before the final seven service that both teams actually finished, basically for that season meaning if your team got kicked out, you got to nominate two people unless told otherwise
Honestly, even though that Blue Team got kicked out 7 times on dinner services, they mostly dominated at challenges. Ryan, Heather and Heidi are the most talented top 3 ever as none of them ever got nominated at once. But, still, I think Heidi should be in the final over Heather.

How is season 15 on this list? Like every HK fan thinks it’s one of the best seasons from a tv perspective and a talent perspective. Literally this guy is the only HK UA-camr of fan that I have seen think season 15 is one of the worst. Pretty much everyone says it is at least top 10 in the series. What does this guy have against season 15?

Season 10 should be an honourable mention. I’m almost through the season and the best chef (kimmie) the one I thought would win just got voted out so. I have no clue who’s even in the running.
Flynn, you should make a list of Dead Weight contestants of HK. There are a ton of them out there.
Kevin getting ejected in Season 15 was brutal. No final words, no footage of him leaving, he’s just… gone!
Also Garrett eliminated over Virginia is unfair, also because Barrett doesn't get eliminated over Dan for the same reason 9 season after.

Part of me would be intrigued by an HK season pitting a team of chefs against a team of particularly good home cooks. Not to embarrass the home cooks, obviously, but as a genuine attempt to see where their ceiling is in comparison to the chefs. We've seen some truly awful teams of chefs; maybe the cast of Season 8 would've been more interesting to watch if one of the teams was a bunch of Masterchef finalists?
Edit: There is a history of HK contestants without any brigade experience doing reasonably well, so I don't think this hypothetical team would flame out immediately.

8:30 very small mistake, season 3 *technically* had 1 more chef, making 13 chefs initially intentioned to feature on the season, but one was disqualified from the season mid-sig dish, & attempted to be hidden by editing.

Ariel, Kristin, Ashley, Jared, Dannie, Chad, Hassan and Eddie are all pretty solid which is more than a lot of seasons
