Congrats on new baby. Don't stop the obs videos. Always good feeling when I'm preparing to do something and pull up the old university to kinda get a visual about what im about to do and bam minutemasters video for same project. You do an awesome job with these videos and even now and then give a valuable tip of something i could run into so Im mentally prepared something may come up. You have been my second opinion over the years and its appreciated. You know what i mean, when you know what you're going to do and ready to do it but, you just want someone to confirm that what you're imagining is actually correct.

I just got my baby running.
Fixed the starter problems. Bad ground wire. And did all the breaks. Gave it a test drive and it pulls slightly to the right. But I’m off to a good start thanks to your videos, thank you again Steve 🙌🏼

Congrats my man! I am in the same boat except I just introduced a second boy to the family. Can’t wait to see the updates on the 4x4 conversion because I would love to do this myself. I’ve always read that it’s better to just get another truck with that platform, but they are effing expensive so kudos for taking this on!

My prep for the 4x4 swap is nearly finished. Then I can start bolting it up. In some ways I also agree that it’s better to buy a 4 x 4 truck from the start. Unfortunately, unfortunately I think some of us who own 2wd trucks, have too much time, money, and love invested into them just to sell them.

Definitely! I have worked like crazy to makes sure my truck was drivable Monday morning. I will still try to be as prepared as possible for when the “big” repairs need to happen. Like this 4x4 swap, I will try to pre assembly everything before hand so that it is as drivable as possible.

If it’s a 3.5 ecoboost it’ll definitely be a project. Make sure you change the oil often first couple of oil changes if you don’t know the history because the cam phasers are problematic.

I might actually. For now, it will be stock. Trust me, if any part of the suspension wears out, I’ll be adding spring and shock upgrades. Lol

Ive been trying to drive my obs ford too back and forth to work but my 2018 focus gets 3x better gas mileage 😂😂. Even with it being 144 miles round trip that doesn't always stop me though.

New truck needs a cold Air intake for vroom vroom noises and a tune you can call it good after that.

Actually since the 3.5 is turbo, a CAI would be a good mod. My only concern is I drive a lot of gravel roads here in Iowa. So good air filtering would be a must.

Im guessing a new f150, like a newer style like a 2017, or an 18, probably a coyote but maybe an ecoboost, i can see you wanting to retire your old obs as a full project truck, and move towards something more reliable
Very close! 2015 F150 with 3.5 and six speed transmission 4x4.
I plan to keep the purple OBS forever and it will always be the focal point of the channel.
I’m undecided if the silver truck will ever be channel material. I guess you guys will let me know.

Can you do a video showing how to get in the hood compartment when the hood latch is broken
That’s a good one. I had that issue and I think it took a good hour to get it unlatched. I think I had to manually pull/push the latch free. Honestly, destroying the front plastic grille is probably faster. Lol

I just hope you got the V8 and not the V6. Had a 2014 with the 3.whatever V6. Wasnt turbo or amything. Just plain old V6. That thing was HORRIBLE. It couldn't get out of it's own way. Gas mileage sucked. Pure gutless. The interior was really nice though. Had katzkin seats. They were awesome. Just made it hard to love the truck with that motor.
