I also love APSC, mostly because size of body and lenses in compare to quality that you get from this type of sensor. I don’t use slowmo so this is not an issue however many cameras on market offer a lot things that I miss in Sony like 10 bit, two slot for cards, raw or prores (basically high bitrate), HDR and even 6k video. Market gave Sony a lot things like tamron or sigma lenses and yet we still get the same specs on a6400, a6500, a6600 for years. Recently Sigma released their C series for FUJI and honestly, if there will be a reason for me to record something new I will switch for Fuji. It’s been too much for too long.
Well said. My only concern at this point is that I heard autofocus of Sigma 18-35 f: 1.8 doesn’t work very well with Fuji via adapters but I need to investigate it further and see if there is any adapter on the market that does the job. It would be great if Sigma would release EF to FX adapter just like the MC11 they made for Sony cameras.. because that works pretty much like a native lens. In terms of slow motion.. the main reason you’re not using slow mo is because you don’t have it 🤣 when it comes to shooting any b roll good looking 60 and 120 fps is like a super power that makes it 1000% easier. So I’m sure that if you had a camera that’s shooting crispy crisp 4k slow motion you would shoot most of the stuff in at least 4k 60 by default to be able to smooth it out in post nicely. It’s also great when you’re shooting b roll on a sunny day when even with ND you need to crank your aperture to like f8.. then you can just slap on the 120 fps and 1/250 shutter speed. I recommend to play with a7s3 for one day and see for yourself how great the slow motion can be if it’s completely flawless:)

Maybe there is no other way but to switch to Fuji. It’s a bit disappointing that Sony doesn’t bring anything that would meet your expectations. Do you think that there is any explanation for them not bringing to life this type of camera?
I think they don't want to cannibalise their full frame line with more convenient and superior solution. Fuji is just releasing even better camera than i described in this episode that is going to shoot in 6k 30 fps and 4k 120 fps 10 bit so i definitely gonna have to switch to fuji i just need to do the research and see which adapter will work best with my all time favourite lens.
