Would really like to have seen/heard how you go into neutral with the quick shifter

My GT was shifting like 5 times as smooth with the quick shifter after I installed the pegs from the R version. Idk why, but it did. Even from the second to the third gear is smooth now. That wasn't as good before :)
I have the Triumph Shift Assist on my GT and it works great. I don't understand how it can affect fuel consumption.
It does, given open throttle for upshifts, as well as more aggressive acceleration involved

You skipped over Tip #4.......You went from Tip 3 to Tip 5. Didn't get my money's worth 🤔😄. I had the quikshifter installed a week and a half ago on my GT, but immediately got laid up with knee surgery. Will be trying to get good with it once I can ride again.

I took your recommendation and got mine done and I have to be honest I love having a quick shift in my case I have a rocket three are they have to actually change the shift pedal as well because the original was not compatible

The quick shift is up with the throttle open, the more the throttle open the smoother the upshift. You can quick downshift with throttle closed.
Did you install quick shifter or dealer? Is the quick shifter plug and play, I hope so. I just installed it but raining here so test ride will wait till tomorrow.

@@OnDownTheRoadProductions I put mid controls on too, I believe it gives me better control when getting aggressive in them turns. I installed the quick shift and went to dealer to have them activate the TSA, then drove at least 10 seconds in every gear and I still can't get the TSA to work. Looking into it.
@@pissedoffveteran7965 You need to also turn it on in the "bike setup" menu, then "TSA", then select "ON".
Go to bike set up in settings
Select TSA Then enable it.
Will not work if disabled.
My upshifts in the lower gears are a bit more clunky than my shifts in the higher gears, which are butter smooth. Is that somewhat normal? I know you said to use more throttle between 1st and 2nd.......
It's not. It got a lot smoother after installing the R pegs on the GT. Your local dealer should be able to tweak that.
@@YISP7 You mean install the mid-location pegs of the R on my GT? I don't want to do that, I'm 6'3" and got the GT mostly because of the forward pegs.

The more the throttle is open, the smoother gears 1-2-3 will be. It bothers us sometimes, so we just use the clutch.

Does throttle need to be open to downshift?
No, not at all. Makes going into curves and coming to stops fun.
Downshifting works under load and while de-throtteling like a breeze :)
No keep throttle closed for down and open for up!
