@@MareeStone798ms You shouldnt have a child, let alone two, if you can't provide for them. I know it's not a perfect world, but bringing children into your impoverished life just makes it worse.
@@jaredprice5823 Uhmmmmm so who is to say things were like that initially? Are you clairvoyant or some other ungodly thing we should know about? The younger kid was 8 years old when the shit started, a fuck of a lot can happen in 8 years bud, you can go from living nice and comfortably and being shit stained and living on the street in far less time than that, especially if the father leaves the family behind, I mean, if the father was the provider the one day, and the next he is gone, things are not as black and white as you think they are . Yeah, there are defs people who still conceive children even if they are living in shitty circumstances, but it is sure as hell not the only way these things happen, and to condemn someone without knowing jackshit about their past is a scummy move Jared.
@@tiaan_va I see you've entered into this completely hostile. Being sarcastic and calling me scummy. As far as discussions go, I don't think that's an effectual way of getting your points across. I don't really see why I should respond in respect but I try to be humble in debate as best I can. All I did was make the point that you shouldn't have children if you're impoverished. It was directed at this particular family, and you are right in saying that it may not have been that way initially. I suppose it was wrong of me to make that assumption. However, I felt like the parents are more to blame than anyone for their situation, as do the interviewees in the documentary. I do believe that it is far more likely that things have always been bad rather than suddenly becoming bad, but ultimately I do not know. I guess my point is that they shouldn't have had children. I sincerely believe if they had made better life and morale choices, the kids would be in a much better situation, as is with all parents. You as a father should never abandon your children, and you as a mother should never condone drug use and prostitution for them. I understand your point, and it was wrong of me to make that assumption. But it was also wrong of you to insult me and my character the way you did. I believe in honest and respectful debate, and I feel that if you were to initiate conversation more cordially your words would hold higher weight.
@@jaredprice5823 I will 100% enter the chat in a hostile manner when addressing someone who enters a chat with prejudice against another human who you know nothing about based on your severely limited life experience. You are still a kid, you haven't seen anything yet, you have yet to experience the real world outside of the comforts you take for granted, because if you did you would never just make ignorant assumptions like that. And yet you say you shouldn't have but then continue to do so, which is mental haha. The father is too blame yeah, defs, because he had a responsibility to uphold after having kids, which he didn't do. But unjust condemnation against the mother without actually knowing the story is scummy as all hell. Unbiased assumptions like that contribute to division amongst mankind, and only lead to the world becoming slightly more shitty little by little. Where in this entire video did the mom ever condone their drug use?? Like it bothers me that, that is your first impression when judging people you don't know. She has to fucking hustle however she can to keep at least a roof over their heads, so she cannot be present in their lives for the majority of it, that isn't not caring, that is making the best of a shitty situation, the alternative being them living out on the street and everything else being even worse. When the kids were taken away, you can see the sincere sadness in her face, you can clearly see how badly she is hurting in that situation, someone like that will always want the best for their kids even if circumstances has rendered her unable to provide that to them. It's absolutely idiotic to assume things were always like this from the get go, and doing so without actual knowledge makes you someone that I will always be hostile against. So here is some advice, in the future, just keep your mouth shut if you are basing you opinion on your own personal beliefs that are not grounded in reality or supported by facts. Also, go out into the real world, take a step outside your precious bubble of privilege and go out into poverty stricken areas and get to know a few people, and listen to their stories and how they got there. Maybe, just maybe then, you will actually gain some insight into how the real world functions, and maybe mature in the way you judge people.
My husband and I worked at a place for Youth at Risk, not nearly as bad as this one. (for twenty years!) But even the bad kids come right, in a fashion, if they get the love they need. BUT before discipline you have to get them to at least like you, then they will listen. But they do find love and caring strange, as they have never had that before. But they enjoy it. Like star charts for cleaning their places (These are pre -criminals, or criminals that love to get stars, and Easter eggs, and a chocolate for coming first in something). I also blame the parents.
Yes they should they need to be all locked up together. So Jacob can spread his filth like Ramatosti is doing now. Put those murderers and rapist with the their kind if you in there you got there for a reason it was not a mistake(or many that lead you there)
Watching how SA youth is wasted across colour line am scared, let's wake up South Africa and fight this drug addiction to our kids. Where are the two Pretoria boys? pls take them away from their mother.
A story that I nearly forgot. I stay in South Africa at the Western Cape in a city that's got a reformatory school for boys. As I was walking past the school one Sunday early evening coming from work a boy from school greeted a man and woman who were walking infront of me.The way they answered him told me that they knew who he was. He asked them through the window why they were letting walk so freely without robbing or attacking me. They ignored him and I was not even intimidated by his request because I knew that they were going to do the biggest mistake of their lives. I was armed for self defense and I was not afraid and zI showed it to him by passing his friends by. They just ignored me and I'm happy they did otherwise things should have turned ugly. No I didn't have a gun with me but since I don't like guns and don't even have a license for them. I had some good stuff to protect me.
There is actually more to those two boys story, before the were caught on the video the ledest one was a pimp at one time and they also smuggled drugs for the nigerian gangs between provinces... Very sad situation.... Also think of the parents as well, especially their mother, she had to beg to keep food on their table.
South Africa/Africa needs more attention, there are to many government officials stealing money that could go into prograns such as this one, I'm from Elsiesriver, Cape Town and I'm exposed to different kinds of situations I'd never had imagined, its deep i appreciate that this video is bring awareness to what many families/people have to deal with, I'm talking children involved in gangsterism, narcotic abuse, murder and rape.. it's sad, we need help and help can only come from within, South Africa people need to unite and stop segregating/separtating from eachother.
This is heart breaking to see. Especially, instead of helping the mother get lifeskills etc. this "cop" shouting at her, shouting at the boys who are children trying to cope or "not cope" with the life they have been dealt. Dispicable!
Sad to see how our people been impacted by drugs at a younger age. 2022 can be a nightmare seeing what was happening in these years. Wishing for proper reforms and development
I'm in gauteng turning 30 and lol to be honest this story is a Story . There is no help for this type of thing. The rehabs and institutions are far worse than being on the street. Rape drugs gangs it's far far worse then you will ever see on media
It’s sad they they don’t have a program that helps to relocate these children and their families. Donations to help fund an apartment, family therapy, education or resources to help them get them back on their feet. Because no matter how many times theses boys go to jail or juvenile detention, they will go right back to the same way of life if they return them to the same neighborhood, the same streets. Jail or juvenile detention just teaches them to be better criminals when they are behind close doors talking to other criminals who are far worse than they are. It’s not the face they show in group but the real face they show behind close doors. They should be monitored 24/7.
Im older now but it took 30 years to give up , mandrax tablets used to be used , crushed up and smoked on a bong , These kids are so young , Herion was so addictive
so sad to watch what these kids do with their lives, thank goodness there are good people out there to help them, Would love to know whatever happened to these kids and if they became normal members of society?
The rich and people who stole in unfair regimes should be taxed to provide more of these facilities. A government should only be there to help, not regulate. But improve society after is guarantees the publics safety. If a government cant do the latter which comes first and then fails to improve society... Why should we vote

I feel so bad for these kids
The apathy of those incharge is astounding
The first seven years are the ones that will define their futures. Parents are totally to blame for these tragedies
In @ perfect world, the husband would be present, alcohol free and both working to provide care and an education to their sons. This ain't that world. They're a poor broken white family grovelling in a society at the tail end of apartheid. They need compassion not condemnation.
They shouldn't keep the rapist and murderer with the others....so sick
Jupiter Wisdom what’s the difference the majority of the kids practice predatory rape anyway
Yes they should they need to be all locked up together. So Jacob can spread his filth like Ramatosti is doing now. Put those murderers and rapist with the their kind if you in there you got there for a reason it was not a mistake(or many that lead you there)

How do kids start injecting h that young
Watching how SA youth is wasted across colour line am scared, let's wake up South Africa and fight this drug addiction to our kids. Where are the two Pretoria boys? pls take them away from their mother.
They had to be atleast 13 to get into the Juvenile, which was 18 years ago... These lads are over 30 now

Does anybody have any information about where Jurie and Erich are today?
So fricking sad about the child drug addict brothers
There is actually more to those two boys story, before the were caught on the video the ledest one was a pimp at one time and they also smuggled drugs for the nigerian gangs between provinces... Very sad situation.... Also think of the parents as well, especially their mother, she had to beg to keep food on their table.

I was in the system between 96 and 98. Not drug related. It was hectic then I can only imagine it is much worse now.
This is why you don't have children when you can't afford it.
He was hiding himself, in the yellow sweatshirt, but at the end of the film it shows him sitting there. WTH?!!
I have no words. Even tho I am where they where now...

How did this happen. I was there. Jesus changed my life. I love Him.
Back when things were more raw and real and not filtered like today
This is heart breaking to see. Especially, instead of helping the mother get lifeskills etc. this "cop" shouting at her, shouting at the boys who are children trying to cope or "not cope" with the life they have been dealt. Dispicable!

Me living South Africa I have been shot in the leg and been chased by a gang and I’m only at the age of 12

These poor boys.. Where are they now??
It's so sad ...this is affecting all races and what breaks my heart they are kids who are influenced by crime on the streets and by parents who never cared about them. Let us know our children as parents and try hard to notice any changes in our children's patterns. Let us try not to give too much freedom and damaging false love to them. Let's be true and try to bend them while they are still young. Being left by one of the parents is no excuse for bad behaviour.
