I am in shock. The man Riki in the beginning of this program saved my life. I was 17 at the time. I lied about my age because I was told that the juvenile section was crazy. Hectic.muderous. youngsters comming off heavy drugs with raging hormones. I was there for 3 months. 1995.Suncity. Oh Jesus you got no clue about that nightmare place. I never got any visits. Rikki robbed me and then helped me. He has his own code. A giant amongst men. I say no more. But Ill never forget. And ive never been back.amen
It's true when they say never judge a book by its cover he does not look like the kind that would protect someone, I'm glad you never went back to that place ❤
Thank you, Lerato, for your comment. Over the years, I've thought about him often. I very seriously doubt that he gave me a second thought when I walked out the door of that hell hole and into my life. And yet it had such a profound effect on me. I also pause to reflect that the only reason I met him is because I had chosen the wrong path. I must also add this in conclusion. What happened to me was in itself inevitable. I unfortunately had no good role model in life. My father, being a very complicated man, didn't teach me the cold truths and values of life. I had to learn them the hard way. Luckily for me, it did not make me bitter and resentful. Ricky would be one of a few good men who came into my life and made a huge difference. I believe they were sent by the Almighty and is the main reason for my conviction of belief in the divine. When I look back now, almost an old man myself, I see the hand of God working his ways in my life. When I am finally one day in God's presence, I will first ask him for forgiveness for doubting him, and then I will thank him. Afterwards, I will glorify his name. Amen.
I love where the social worker lady says " The State spends too much money on the custody of the prisoner and not on the rehabilitation of the prisioner " ..🤞🏾
That smile is a facade. Those are the 28's. They're the ones who rape and enslave the new prisoners who are non-gang members. He's probably killed more.
Been there. An experience I'll treasure forever. I know it sounds strange. I grew up an only child. No structure, discipline. Have you ever heard 2000 women sing at once? I found God there fast.
lol, you dont know anything about the choices they have. how come that 90% of the crime in cape town comes from the poor area and not from the city area? this time you can not blame on their black colour. THE DIFFERENCE IS SOME EXTREME POVERTY WILL MAKE YOU HAVE TO COMMIT CRIMES. How can i know without knowing you IRL that im 100% sure you are not grown up in extreme poverty? its because you do not understand it and neither have tried to understand them. theese are our brothers and you and me could be the ones in their place thats something you have to understand.
The only thing most of this man needed was love and guidance. I wish them all best. And I want to say to them I love them all regardless of the crimes they've committed. And God loves you
Now finally a good question. When you are in hell. You can't die. South Africa is like living in hell. Life is tough. When you are poor your world is tiny. You continue suffering in your tiny existence. If you lucky you die.
I love the black lady the one stole car parts shes an inspiration too me and shes so strong an i love how open minded she is admitting she herself xan be troublesome

with all the learning / skills that inmates are offered how does it going to help them while still having a criminal record who would hire them cos one thing for sure most companies dont tolerate when it comes to criminal record
If the person is trained in vocational or technical skills they can start their own business to provide those services.NICRO can also assist in this regard. Another issue is that most employers do not find out whether their employees or prospective employees have criminal records. If one does not disclose , they don’t know and don’t follow up. If you are found out however, you will lose your job and will be fined/detained for a period.
The place where they rehabilitate prisoners that have been sentences is porous. They denied them regular exercises, keeping them indoors for more than 20 hours in a day is not ideal.
That gay guy said he murdered someone so easily no remorse nothing . I died when that guy cried whilst he was dragged into a cell Oh wait sun city prisoners have a TV? Wow
