Fade Out (or Fade In) your songs in Logic Pro! // 2 Techniques

- In this video I demonstrate two techniques for fading in or out your songs in Logic Pro, including the proper way to do volume fades, and filter fades. One thing I didn't mention in the video is that if you want to do a complete fade out/in with a filter, simply sweep the Cutoff from 0-100% or 100-0%.

One cool trick for the global filter I like is to put a high pass filter on an aux and invert the phase. Then any track you send to this aux gets high cut as if you put a low pass filter on the master track. The cool part about this is that you can exclude tracks from the lowpass filter effect if you want to still hear them. Like if you want to muffle the music but not the lead vocals or the drums.
You're a fantastic musician! Keep up the great work, my friend! 😊
Very cool as always!
Great information thank you so much, I love the way you speak slowly and explain things in great detail ❤️🙏☘️
Nice, thanks ! For years I have been ignoring that master track completely.
I’m always learning something new from you. Thank you.
Very nice control over the frequency ranges!

oh wow I didn't know about the AutoFilter fade in,...I like that one , filter sweep goes into the bass, I tried it on my mix...much better...Thanks Josh :)
Are there any negative impacts to adding the fade in/out automation to the stereo out rather than the master fader?
Why not use the main stereo out, as logic picks the fade out on the main stereo output?
You can do that too if you prefer, you'll get the same routing and effect. The Master VCA doesn't necessary "come after" the stereo output, but rather it's just a control source for the stereo output volume. I like the Master VCA because it allows me to put the Master VCA at the top of the tracks, so I can easily align the fade out with the bounce range (cycle range). Whereas the stereo output does not allow you to move it up to the top.
This is going to sound like a plug BUT... I was skipping through the sponsor section today and it turns out that I was searching for something exactly like this this morning. Weird.
Always perfect in every detail. I forgot 'bout the curve tool, how could that happen. But "the' top host helped me again ! Thanks and Peace 💯🙏🏼🦴✌🏼
