If I had to guess they needed to redo the sounds for any surround sound Dolby support. Might have been difficult to get the exact sounds from the original or they just got lazy and just used what they had.
@@AaronJackson-y4g Well, in my case, it does manage to achieve that for the first few shootouts (chainsaw, Babylon Club, & Frank’s death). But, after Alberto is killed, the rest are either OK (Manny’s death, Gina’s death, Nick & Chi-Chi’s kills) or very bad (SAY HELLO TO MY LITTLE FRIEND!!!). Thankfully, though, on said Blu-ray (Limited Edition comes to mind), you can turn off the DTS-HD Master Audio 7.1 files, & just revert right back to the DTS 2.0 theatrical audio tracks. Just leave them as products of their time, ya know?
