This game is really fun but also takes a TON of practice to get decent, when you play the game for a while and watch pro's in comparison, you understand the amount of grind they put into the game. Ive played different kinds of multiplayer throughout my 30 years and have always told people that RL is the hardest one to master.
Fr man my highest rank is diamond 3 and I don't really get to practice or play alot or else I feel like I could make it to champ if I got to play it more consistently
RL actually feels like one of the easiest to grind to me, especially because you can literally see every little improvements that you do, and also once in a while you hit a very beautiful shot that encourages you to continue playing. If you play regularly, you can become a professionnal RL player in 2 or 3 years. Which is probably way less than other games such as Valorant, Fortnite or Call of Duty (I tryhard evey games I'm talking about)
Why you re-comment this on Charlie’s channel too 🤣 I see your comment on x’s page. Do you think this is some kind of insult? Lol Charlie shows more emotion than x 99% of the time 🤣 x is just either chill or salty
Biggest thing that needs improving is your boost feathering. When you go for an aerial it seems like you pull back the stick and floor the boost, you gotta jump pull stick back to get your nose in line with where you think the ball will be by the time you get there, and micro adjust to get the nose of your car to the ball. Feathering boost is just when you tap at certain times until you get lined up just right. You can hold boost to start and then feather, or feather until you line up and then hold boost, but usually holding boost once your nose is lined up and then feather to micro adjust is best. That is mostly what Charlie is missing in his plays
@@scottbecker4367 his panic would lessen if he wasn’t holding boost as often, they go hand in hand. It’s usually when he goes for balls in the air that aren’t right in front of them, if he feathered more he would look a lot smoother and not look like he’s panic rushing to the ball
I feel like his hits are what’s really holding him back if you see most of the time when he hits the ball his car kinda just bounces off he’s not putting full power on the hits
XQC seems like that one needlessly aggressive teammate that makes you hate the game because he just jack hammers the ball while also somehow looking to be pretty calculated in his plays. An actually RL enigma.
Charlie is right, this game is just so different that its hard to make things click like they do in other games. Its taken me playing pretty much every week since launch to get into the top 10,000 and even that from the pros is such a big difference
I feel charlie on this one, love rocket league but the mechanics take so much time to click for me so I've accepted I'll be in high diamond low champ limbo
He owns a rocket league team watches it all the time at a pro level, can grind all day on stream when he does grind (rarely tbh) and is being coached by his own pros so don’t feel bad, however he is also jus a good gamer tbh
I think if you practice hitting the ball on free cam mode for saves and for shooting on goal you may have better luck. You play a lot like me and when I learned to free cam hit it made 1v1 enjoyable. Free cam gives you so a faster turn radius and better ball controll with air rolls. My tip is only free cam when in need of boost like you already do. And free cam when you are.lookong at the ball maybe even before you hit and aim your stick right at the goal
@@AustinH362 because playing more doesn't always equate to return on skills & mechanics. This is why you see twitch streamers who have been playing RL for 4-5yrs & are on everyday for 5hrs & are still stuck in diamond. its why coaching exist, and why 5hrs a week with real training can beat soloing 5hrs a day with person just repeating their mistakes over and over.

1’s is literally the decider of skill mode. It’s why pros 1v1 in tournaments a lot. You need everything besides team play to be good at ones. See zen for an example is one of the best 1v1 players out there, and has won a world championship already.

💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼 and he needs to learn small pad boost he goes and leaves his team when there pushing hard
The biggest thing that needs improving are his nerves. He panics when he's about to hit the ball. Positioning leaves a bit to be desired too.

I think they're both very much like that, but I think that just comes with being a low rank/beginner player in RL
Moist will get his revenge on xqc
One day he will beat him in a game and I will be there to see it
come back to this comment till he beats xqc again
Yes Copege
Charles is half decent ngl
I need Matt to get invited to the official podcast
That stuff doesn't click 'cause you don't play, like that's literally it. It takes thousands of hours.
and no one wants to spend thousands of hours in boring ass 1v1's, daddy
@@Gjd94not wanting to spend thousands of hours is understandable but it doesn't have to be in 1v1s. you learn to do stuff just by playing regularly

wow, I just looked up a tutorial on the Fetelix jump, and damn that's complicated, & Moist just pulled it off with ease
RL is the only game that can get me to get legitimately upset while playing.
Yeah especially ones cause the games are so long
I learned alot when he was playing against XQC
I feel charlie on this one, love rocket league but the mechanics take so much time to click for me so I've accepted I'll be in high diamond low champ limbo
you don’t need crazy mechanics to get out of low champ. learn how to force 50s and aerial and you’ll hit champ 3 in 3s easy
Same man I don't really have time either to practice my mechanics or else I feel like I could be alot better.
yeah you just gotta lab a few things, and also remember a lot of the flip reset type stuff relies on optimal controls (not default apparently)
Flip resets don't even matter till about high champ-gc tho, or no one is doing them at least.
The lack of 1v1 on this games competitive scene is ass aching
cause 1v1's are boring as fuck to watch, Billy D Hughes. Is that your full name, Billy?
A lot of pros do 1v1 show matches but it’s definitely not as prevalent or official as 3v3
