It’s really fun to ride. 😀 I like how it makes me look at the terrain differently. Areas that that would be boring or hard to ride on a sled are fun on the snowbike. Still in the process of fine tuning things on it so I don’t have much video content featuring it.
It’d depend on the moisture and consistency of the snow. If it was dry fluffy powder on a firm base you’d probably slice through it. But I’ve not ridden it in that deep of snow. The main issue would be the air cleaner getting covered with snow dust. So far I’ve been surprised at how well it does, but, I don’t have that much time on it. I have ridden it in rotten spring snow where you post holed down to your crotch and it had enough floatation for that to never get stuck.
I’ve noticed the snowbike has a much narrower window of snow conditions in which it’s fun and enjoyable to ride. It’s a lot like a snowboard where it’s super fun in the right snow.
Ha ha! It self balances pretty well in soft snow. But, on ice or frozen, rutted trails it can feel pretty sketchy at times. I’ve found snowbikes are very much like snowboards. In soft snow they are awesome. On hard, frozen snow, not very much fun. Of course a sled isn’t typically much fun to ride on hard, frozen snow either. But, a sled is much easier to ride in those conditions.
That snowbike looks like so much fun 👍

Looks like fun 👍 i wonder if it is any good in 3 foot deep snow. 🤔
