Great vid. But after watching the ORBDR film, and several individuals vids, I just don't have much desire to ride it. Maybe some of the forest sections. I just rode the NMBDR, and it seems to be a lot more enjoyable.
Great meeting you in the sky light cavern. Rob, Billie, Taylor and mike from from Sacramento California. We did Idaho and Colorado bdr now the Oregon bdr. Took our time and did one section a day. Awesome adventure. Not for the timid but doable if take your time and choose good lines, team effort is what its all about!
I am so glad I rode up Skylight Cave also. It is well worth the ride up there! The camera does not show just how deep the old volcanic ash and sand on those roads really is. There are many places that your front tire sinks more than eight inches into it and it hides many good sized rocks, tree roots and ruts you do not see until you are in them. Still, way worth the ride.
On your Oregon bdr video you mentioned the Idaho BDR. I live in Twin Falls and run it every year. With your heat issue, I'd avoid south of Glenns Ferry. July 15th is typically when the snow melts on all the high elevation. Everything from Pine to Canada has water, shade, and beauty. Almost no sand. Enjoy my friend.
Silt dude I’m tellin ya. Have to keep the speed up to get through and sometimes it still bites you. Silt CORNERS have to be full commit and clearly that wasn’t whatever that was 😂
The more of your videos I watch, the more I think my F750GS is not the best for BDR rides. Especially when I'm shorter than average and my Beemer is borderline too tall for me.
Not at all. It’s just a route designed for the more hardcore adventure rider is all. Not all of us are that and that’s ok. Everyone has to ride their own ride. While I am a bit disappointed that the route in my home state is not one I’ll get to ride my main bike on, the advanced folks need routes that cater to them just like many of the routes seem to cater to the intermediate crowd.

Well done! Was good to meet you folks!
Was definitely an awesome stop. Ive never seen anything like the silt up there.
Hella ploofy.

I tip my hat to ya for riding such a big bike on that dirt. I have my hands full on my KLR 650 in stuff like that. That Cave is awesome

I’ve heard that before. Likely will be my plan. I’m not a fan of sand so given the option, I’ll avoid it
Skylight photos were great! I don’t know about beefy coffee in the morning though 🤣🤣😎👍🏻
Looked like a good time except for the lunch..... 😃 the coors light would be ok though.....
Cool video. And you are correct silt sucks. Just bought a used DR 650 to go with my AT. Much easier on a smaller bike
the pics in the cave were pretty cool. sorry about your beef flavored coffee. good to see you riding.
Beef flavored coffee is surprisingly good
@@ExploreAdventureMoto more filling that way..... 🤣
Cool cave
Wow. That hill looks so much smaller on here than it did in real life. Doesn't even look like a hill on here.
Yep. Action cameras flatten out everything. Didn’t take the extra time to set up my good camera for a ride through shot
Dude, calendar worthy shots.
What kind of calendar is what I’d be concerned with…..

Looks like the same corner that got eric🤣🤣

I have zero interest in the OBDR. I think they made a slight mistake in the route.
