i was so excited to see y'all both uploaded! In my sub box it even shows the videos came out at the same hour! craazy :) I loved this, especially the montage of all the. lips towards the end, just hiccup and toothless, with astrid, and the whole fam. absolutely wholesome!
It makes sense that this was directed by Chris Sanders, it’s very similar to both LILO and Stitch and HTTYD, for one, they all have this theme of family and characters from different backgrounds developing these wholesome relationships with each other, and specifically with HTTYD, Roz teaching Brightbill to fly is very similar to Hiccup helping Toothless fly
Right?! I cried multiple times throughout the film as well, even more the second time. Its so sincere and wholesome. Chris Sanders really knows how to make timeless movies.

OMG that brought me to tears! What a song and what powerful memories with Hiccup and Toothless, and seeing them edited like this. The pure unadulterated JOY of being alive, that kind of feeling that HTTYD brought us back in those days. Can't be replaced. *Stoick voice* What a feeling! *lmaooo* I'm honored to be part of the Circle and a tiny bit of your inspo to create this piece. Beautiful parallels with their first meeting and looking fear in the eye, and having to hold up everything inside, paralleled to Hiccup keeping Toothless' secret and having to *do* something about it by making the tail. And the catharsis of those flight sequences! Really good, classic thoughtfulness in this video, both lyrically and in the pacing and sequencing. A joy to watch.

Wow. I must have subscribed to you about 10 years ago now, after I discovered HTTYD in 2013/2014. THIS EDIT took me back. Back to when I was a kid and finding the magic that was this movie. Awesome work here!
@@theNightFuryfan95 I do miss that era, not gonna lie. Back in the early 2010's, when we had the first film, some shorts and R/DOB. I love everything HTTYD-related, truly. But for some reason, that period before 2014 came out just seemed like peak to me. It had the most fanart and fanfictions and OCs and drawing challenges I can recall. I miss those days tbh. I was 12 when I watched the first movie, but had read the first book (the only one that had been translated in my language at that point) for years prior. Going to the cinema one day for a movie I don't even remember which one and seeing a cut out board of just the title and a 'coming soon' was such a magical moment. The book that had so much value to me was gonna be a movie! Before I knew it, I was (badly lol) drawing OCs, doing roleplays with people, writing (bad lol) fanfics and obsessively scrolling through fanart and fanfictions. Like I said, I miss those days. And its why I appreciate people still making these videos. They remind me of a very happy time of my childhood when I got into fandoms and started to connect with people over my interests.
@@megadracosaurus Agreed. There was something truly special about that particular period within the fandom. The fire was never hotter nor brighter between 2010-2014 for sure. I miss it a lot too. I think many of us found or started our passions during that time. We've grown so much. It makes me so happy that this vid is truly awakening nostalgic feelings from fans in the early HTTYD days though. That was one of the main goals with the editing of this vid. Thank you for sharing! @@theNightFuryfan95 I think its because there wasn't to much to work with at the time. The fandom had to make headcanon a lot. And I will admit, watching the first movie, knowing things like how Stoick will die or how the dragons will leave by the end of the third movie...Its not quite the same. It makes me miss all the fanart, comics and fanfics of a grown up Hiccup teaching new generations to ride dragons to. We had less to work with, so we had to work harder to create new things. HTTYD is still a big thing to me. I still have all the books now, I watched everything related to it (even Nine Realms, much to my regret XD) and I still run a roleplay forum that started out as HTTYD, but is now more like a weird crossover between HTTYD, Monster Hunter, Dragon Age, DnD and Witcher XD As for that very first book, I still have it. Its old and read to death, but I still have it. It was actually a library book but my local library allowed me to keep it upon realizing just how much I borrowed it XD Nevertheless, I do really appreciate you and others making these videos. It reminds us why we fell in love with this franchise in the first place. To quote Hiccup from the books: may our dreams and imagination be filled with fangs and fire!

Whoa, I watched the wild robot on friday in cinema and listened to the OST on the weekend but the thought of a HTTYD edit with this just didnt occured to me somehow.. but as soon as I saw this video in my recommendations I thought "of course it fits", and you didnt disappoint at all ❤

Wow!! New song for me, and that just made this all the better! Now I’ll think of your video every time I hear it! 😉🎶✨ From an editing standpoint, this was phenomenal. I’ve done a lot of Httyd AMVs myself, and from one editor to another.. you did fabulous work here. The timing was perfect, the lyrics lined up with well-matched scenes, and I only almost got upset when you cut off the touch scene-but then you brought it back in a much better full-circle manner and l applaud the attention to detail and storytelling. That ending chorus especially with all the flying scenes was just gorgeous to watch and hear with the music! I shall be subscribing and looking into more of your work. 😁👍❤️
