    Brambles are britains only carnivorus shrub apart from bog plants that attract flys ,the sheep is caught up in the thorney thicket then can't get free and as it decomposes the nutrient feeds the roots .

      Your not wrong pal, and at this time of year when bad weather could hit we must power on.

    Looks like a good bit of work
    I always use a sthil kombi hedge cutter for brambles like that, have always found it quicker and less work than a with a brush cutter
    (Gave you a thumbs up)
    Cheers Jason

      Thanks for the comment and support pal.
      I've used the hedge trimmer many times and works well. But do find this quicker if I don't have to clean up 😜

    So it wasn’t because you were out on the lash with Doug at the Xmas party last night then?🤣
    Lovin the mulching blade - I usually use a long handled hedge cutter for big old bramble patches but it doesn’t smash it all up like yours.
    That helmet set up you wear - looks lighter & comfier than conventional - I get a sweaty head so would you recommend ?

    • @TheCountryCottageGardener
      @TheCountryCottageGardener  2 роки тому

      Haha, Dug would out drink me any day of the week 😂😂
      The helmet is a PETZL Vertex, it's really a arborists climbing helmet. It is comfortable and gives good ventilation but indo prefer my Echo one which I've just got back from leaving on another job.
      Thanks for watching pal 👍

    Sorry you're not feeling the best but you certainly made me laugh.
    I love the Oregon shredder blades, great bits of kit. Even if your smash rocks into bits and they have no edge they seen to work reasonably. I do grind mine sharp always after use.
    Hope you feel better soon👍

    I use a Husqvarna 535LK pro combi with an Oregan mulching blade, though it looks like a a loop handle strimmer, it does have a 35cc 2.2 HP engine. It absolutely destroys brambles! Don't know about you, but I take great delight in obliterating those spikey bastards! 😂
