Hi Guys I been watching your channel for a few weeks now, think I done most them. I got a couple of tips if you think they may be of help. Number one: have a look at the Darlec leaf grabber, they are as cheap as chips, I use them for everything I have to pick up, it picks up far more than you can ever pick up by hand in one go, and more importantly NO bending over. Number two: if you get a run of the mill plastic dustbin, and drill some holes around near the base and some near the top, the following happens; when you put in a garden waste bag (which fits perfectly) in as the weight of the waste goes in it pushes the air out of the bottom, which means you can get twice as much in. Then when you go to left it out, the air is forced out of the top holes and it comes out easy. Just a couple of thoughts 👍 Michael The Really Useful Gardening Company Based in Essex
Hi, thanks for the tips. I have been wondering about the picking up of leaves. especially with leaf season round the corner. Ill take a look at that, could be a great thing to try from a pro! Definitely a killer suggestion on the bin, the only constraint I have is that I work out of an old Astra Estate and I would struggle to fit that in... Ill surely show some videos in the future of the set up I have and the gear... really appreciate the time you have taken to carefully and considerately comment.
@@CityGardener thanks for the considered reply, you are going to have to get yourself a van, or put the bin on the front seat and put your “helper” in the bin......problem sorted 🤪😂
Certainly wouldn’t be doing that wearing shorts. I chopped some 9’ high and 15’ deep, just went in with my chainsaw as a lot had stems 1” thick waited for some fresh leaves to appear then glyphosate.
I did something similar but alot more serious, I cut through a copper gas pipe coming from the meter fixed to the house wall with gas rushing out. I was in panic I quickly turned the supply off, I wouldn't mind I had a plywood board protecting the pipe and wire's but it dropped down right at the moment I approached it with hedge trimmer.
I have some sympathy with that bramble problem. Interesting that you used a long reach hedge trimmer to hack into it. I have one of those but have not used it. I tend to cut using hand shears and a small hedge trimmer. I find strimmer's and bush cutters harder to handle but had not thought of using a long reach cutter. I may borrow your method. :) PS - where is the time lapse music? I miss it. :)
@@CityGardener no, I like the time lapse music. You could try nature sounds like river or birds. But the sounds of your machines working is also soothing. I know you can never please everyone.
@@CityGardeneroh my, I'm sorry! It just seemed odd to me, having no sound at all. I enjoy the sounds of people working in the garden, and unlike the gardeners that come to my house, I can control the volume on a video :) No worries :)

Yep , I cut the phone wire with the strimmer !
Also decapitated a gnome.
🤪
Nice work. 33degrees is really uncomfortable temperature.
Thanks, very hot!

They're not easy!

Oh wow, that sounds like a terrifying situation!
Get your waste on the lawn ,put your lawnmower on a medium setting and mulch it up ,easier to handle when its baggedin the mower.
Great idea, thanks

Hehe I thought I'd try a video without music as had a few comments from people disliking the music 🤪

@@CityGardener If they don't like the music they could always press the mute button couldn't they? There is no pleasing some people .
Lol I found myself humming along with the music even when there wasn’t any lol 😂
@@CityGardener well they can always use the mute button, shakes head in disbelief.
Will don’t say much does he
Aww he's fairly chatty off camera 😊
I’ve got a bramble problem myself, garden is neglected at the moment. I want to get a handle on it. How do you stop them coming back?
You have to go through thoroughly & dig out every single root, or pull them out, whatever technique works best
who the hell plants thorned berries by their house? thornless options have existed for quite a while...
They're common in the UK and seed themselves easily, but add 10yrs of neglect and they soon take over!
Would of taken it all down could not put up with that in my garden
I know, not sure how it got that bad!
Yeah I’d be pissed about the cable look and use your eyes and common sense yeah that would come out of the bill
Yes agreed, Id always make good the repair or bill.
Why not just leave the original sound in?
oh gawd, I tried a no sound video becos, I ran a poll and had comments from poeple saying they dont like the sound, now im in a pickel

Think I've got a good format now, Tring mostly normal video with sound, but normal speed or Speeded up when needed, fewer and shorter timelapses
@@CityGardener The newest one about lowering the hedge? Yes, I enjoyed that, very much. Seemed like a good mix to me.
