- We headed out to the new Paradise Teochew restaurant at Ngee Ann City to check out their opening specials! 20 Dim sum dishes are going for $3.80++ and 10 classic Teochew dishes going for $20++! Specials are until 25 July, 2021 and good for Citi card and Paradise Group Rewards members.
Some of the Teochew style Dim Sum were really good and Lisa was surprised by how she actually enjoyed the Chilled steam Mullet. Eating all the Teochew dishes really inspired us to recite some Teochew Poetry!

Never Waste Your Calories on Yucky Food!
The smartest thing Leslie did was bring his lovely wife on board his programe. Great match made in heaven. So blessed. Paradise Teochew is our all time fav until they jack up the price so high.
This is Lisa. Thanks so much for the encouragement!
I love the Teochew poem. Thank you for an amazing video that you shared with us. 🙏👍
Thanks for your kind words!
Such a lovely couple. God bless you both.
Thanks so much for your encouragement 😀
Lesley, PURE teochews love 💘 mullet with po-leng tau-cheok, I m a true blue teochew, except my grandma👵is peranankan yet we are VERY teochew BECAUSE of my mum.
Good recommendation. Will try this restaurant soon.

Enjoy watching your program very much.
Thanks! Means a lot to us!
Dr. Leslie is so cute with his Teochew poetry. Beautiful couple.

Your Madam’s Teochew pronunciation is perfect!
Thank you!! 😀😅
Lol… Teochew poetry!!! Interesting recommendations for the dishes tho. Made reservations for my ah ma’s bday celebrations there. Thanks !
Hope Ah Mah enjoys the meal!
潮州粉果 can be found at dim sum places in the UK and Holland. Not so common in Singapore.
Thanks!
Glad to see your review, as we are due to go ourselves in the very near future!
Thanks Tim! Are you the same Tim from Reuters?

It's not the relaxing, really get to enjoy kind of meal but yes, we feel very blessed to be able to do this.
I watched a chaoshan variety show. chaosan is famous for their beef. Their beef melts in your mouth
Yes, we've visited Chao Shan is it's pretty good. You can try Chao Niu hot pot here in Singapore - ua-cam.com/video/6SZ8JsIPt_0/v-deo.html
Today I went is full house and not easy to book even a slot in advanced.
We also wanted to go back for the dim sum but cannot get slot!
Same here, went down 2 days back. No decent slots available. Left 8pm.
Eat tea ha ha. Should be drink tea. Now we can't dine in. I like your wife explain very well.
In Teochew, we call it "Eat Tea" because tea is such a big part of the culture. www.theteochewstore.org/blogs/latest/126467139-the-teochews-our-elixir-of-life
I always have a gripe with Teochew Restaurant Level. Like somethings I be like this ain't Teochew (just cos I'm not familiar). And then if familiar, I'd grumble my mother cook cheaper.
I know what you saying. Not all the dishes are purely Teochew, more like a mix of all the dialect with some iconic Teochew dishes!
@@ieatishootipost the yam one tho is very Teochew in character. That one looks right.
@@MrBoliao98 Mullet definitely very Teochew!
@@ieatishootipost yea, but my mom steam the fish all look about like this. And why is it everyone is so gaga abt the Mullet?
@@MrBoliao98 I know, right?
Teochew nang, ka ge nang, ka ching ang ang. Pa si bo siang kang
🤣🤣
Interesting! 'Doctor' in Teochew is pronounced 'eui seng' not 'yi seng'.
Thanks!
