2:03 How to get the max avocado benefits
In this video, we’re going to talk about the benefits of eating avocado. Avocados are great to have on the ketogenic diet because they are high in fat, low in carbs, and have hardly any sugar at all.
    Amazing benefits of avocados:
    • Avocados have double the potassium of bananas (800mg per cup)
    • Avocados are loaded with vitamin C, vitamin K, vitamin E, and pre-vitamin A
    • Avocados have magnesium
    • Avocados have vitamin B5
    • Avocados are anti-inflammatory
    • Avocados enhance the absorption of pre-vitamin A even from other foods
    • Avocados can help convert pre-vitamin A to the active form of vitamin A

I love it and it’s very healthy or if I make it with salt and pepper I add a little sour cream. And mix it together and it’s very delicious on top of a salad on top of tacos burritos or eating it straight out of the bowl. All mixed up is delicious avocado is the bomb love love, avocado.😋😋😋💕

I've added avocado to my diet recently. Used to hate them straight out of the skin and could only consume them from store bought, packaged guacamole. Now I'm buying avocados several times a week. Started with making kerrigold cheese chips in the oven and dipping them into about a 1/4 cup of avocado puree, but now I just eat the puree usually without the cheese chips. Ate an entire avocado for breakfast today for the first time and I swear I could eat a few more....sooo good! Love that they are so low in sodium and loaded with potassium.
I think this will be the miracle food that will assist me with my too high sodium issues by eating so many veggies on top of adding non veggie food's sodium amounts in my daily diet. My veggie shake gives me sometimes 1000mg of sodium and tons of potassium, however adding other foods like cheese, meats, and eggs would make my daily sodium amounts get up to 2000mg of sodium per day! Way too much because then I would have to consume around 8000mg of potassium to balance out and the only way to do so would be to add more veggies, which then added more sodium. It was a neverending battle, however the avacodo gives me plenty of healthy fat, vitamins, minerals, low carb, lot's of potassium, and very low sodium....yeah!!!!

Hi Dr. Berg, I've high cholesterol and I saw your video on Apple Cider Vinegar. I started drinking that once or twice a day and it's coming to a year now and my cholesterol has improved tremendously. I'm also on a vegetarian/ vegan diet. I started to add AVOCADO to my salad ( one small avocado or half of a big one ) I did a recently checkup and blood test, it shows that my good cholesterol is good but my doctor said that the "fat in the blood is high"?! ... and wanted me to cut down on carbs like( rice, noodles and oil , he said avocado is high in fat and that I should not consume it . I don't use oil in my cooking since I turned vegan a year ago. I'm so confused... I thought avocado is good fat ? I sometimes add a tablespoon of either pumpkin seed or flaxseed or sunflower seed to my salad. I'm at a lost ... I love avocado... what would you advice ? Greatly appreciated ;-)

I peel and then scrape the skin. Yum
One of my many brothers years ago, aeons, told me the nutrients were deep in the skin- that was prior to chemical every thing, abd in the veg stems that most toss.

Some people are grinding the pip and adding the powder to smoothies. Is this a healthy practice?

They are great. Only problem is if you forget about them, they go bad. Have to time the ripeness. Also, they are not cheap. Around here, they run $1 to $1.50 each. Never peeled one. Good info. i have been a scooper all of my life. i will convert to a peeler.

I love avocados! I need to remember to put them on my grocery list. Then eat some with my spinach omelette.
Can you do a segment on the Keto strips? Are they a good measure for ketosis? What ways are? Thanks!
