I’m confused. During the road testing element, the Santa Fe was rated better than the palisade. Considering that the sante fe is one size down, the extra space in the palisade is cancelled out. Therefore, why is the palisade in second place vs third for the sante fe??
The Santa Fe is indeed better to drive than the Palisade, but the Palisade rated better for safety, technology and space so grabs a higher overall spot.
Skoda’s line-up of SUVs don’t quite match-up with other brands in terms of size. The karoq is smaller than a CX-5 which means it’s quite a bit smaller than the other medium SUVs. The kodiaq sits between the medium and large SUVs from other manufacturers, so it’s hard to compare skodas to other brands.
I test drove the Palisade with extremely high expectations given all the positive reviews but was disappointed to see how under powered the 2.2 Diesel option was and the better 3 8 V6 only had FWD, like WTH?! Pathy has many shortcomings compared to the Palisade, but a peppier engine (albeit thirsty) and great comfort.
Skoda leaves too much space for the boot especially when the third row is not folded which makes the already petite body than other cars even less space in the third row.
With the engine troubles plaguing Hyundai and Kia, Skoda being VW with expensive parts, my list just shrunk to the Toyota and Mazda CX9 who didn’t even make this list.

Mazda unfortunately couldn't supply a facelifted CX-8 for the test and the CX-9 was assessed but didn't make the top five (or in this case six). A fantastic used buy, but due to its age it lags behind in safety and features and is relatively expensive to run.
c'mon. you know Toyota is always overprice and Emptyheads was right, there is nothing special about Toyota Vehicles but the way you said to him is Toyota is like premium car LOL !!!!. Palisade and Sorento really hold their value and they are definitely better package than Kluger

As mentioned in the video this is our top five (or six as explained). Mazda sadly couldn't supply a facelifted CX-8 and CX-9 was assessed but didn't make the cut. All the separate-chassis seven-seaters are really a different class of car and the Jeep is at a different price point now. The entry level GC L would've been the most expensive car here.
@@carsales yeah Jeep needs to bring in a 7 seater vehicle like the Jeep meridian from India to slot between the Jeep Compass and Jeep Grand Cherokee and then make it a little bit cheaper offering to replace the Jeep Cherokee since it is not there anymore
Hyandai palisade received a poor safety rating of 4. No ambient lighting and a boot light. No drivers side roof handle and the diesel turbo is gutless. 88k for rubbish.
I am not a car expert but when it comes to reliability and resale value, Toyota and Nissan would run 200k without any issues and will be able to sell easily without loosing much than any other SUV in this category. Even if you get 7+ years warranty with some cars, you ended up repairing most of tie time. This is just my personal opinion.
Feels like a biased review. 😂 Editors hate Toyota it seems. Ranking Sorento or Santa Fe above Kluger in comfort is outright bias. In safety they rated Toyota lowest

Skoda Kodiaq is a medium SUV, not large SUV like the others. Missed Mazda CX-9 in here.

Hyundai/Kia's diesels (and their V6's) are fairly reliable - It's the older 2.4L and 2.0L petrol's that are the somewhat problematic ones.

The updated Hyundai Palisade receives a five-star safety rating.
