I wish I would’ve known that before I got married. I’ve been married 11 years to someone who pretended to be somebody different. I married a narcissist I’m Catholic I’m stuck. I love your videos they’re very supportive to me.
I hear you! I felt stuck as well. Finally decided it was not a "marriage" after almost 26 years and changed my mind about needing to stay. Talk to your priest.
Where were you 56 years ago?! right now I’m having a real hard time realizing that the “precana” or whatever it’s called, that the church makes couples take doesn’t even COVER THIS! At least that has been my experience….starting over at 65 has been the most difficult thing I have ever had to face. Have you written a book about this for teenagers? It would have been a mandatory read for my kids when they were teens…..We have to break the cycle of so many marriages that have no chance of success…..! Thank you for this crucial video. As a domestic violence survivor and advocate working within the Church to help increase awareness and support, I would suggest that you speak more about this crucial topic. There are so many out there who need to hear about it!
Really solid. I’d love a video about what to do if at one point the person you were with checked all the boxes, but then some gradually slipped away over the years. How much is just normal evolution in relationships vs time to move on? Thanks Matthew.
