Most Acoustic guitars are strung with 12's or 13's. I believe Earthwood 80/20's in 10's or 11's is best for string bending. Just a valuable tip for people learning
Thanks for the video!
This was a great intro to get me over the fear of breaking a string and giving me some bluesey sounds coming from my fingertips. Nice lesson from a nice man.
Rock on!
Snap … no pun intended 😃
Great lesson! I'm still stuck because of the fear of breaking a string...Bends are an issue...Thank you Tomas! 🎶🎶🎶

Love the ambient background r kid
Great
Loved this 🤟🤟
Thanks Dan.
Can I use 9 gauge strings? Tuesday's gone by Lynyrd Skynyrd 4 fret g string there's a 3 fret bend
On my guitar the 12th fret is where the 14th fret is in this video so does that make it more difficult to bend ?
Thanks
You a great guy I just got back into using my guitar and I learned how to tune it without a tuner and I just want to say tou are the best like you just are amazing if I had millions of dollars I would give you lots you are so inspiring
Thanks David. That's very kind.
I'm using 11 gauge strings. I experimented with 10's but found the 4-6th strings didn't sound so rounded, which for an acoustic guitar is important. The 11 gague strings are pretty difficult to bend, is it sensible to "mix and match" using a lighter gauge just for the lightest two strings? Or will this lead to other problems?
Magic
Thanks Roan.
Man, I haven't even thought of tuning the guitar a half step down until saw this video!!!! Thanks a lot bro! Gonna try "Wish you were here" again 😅
Best of luck!
My maye ordered some strings from china. Multicoloured n replaced the nylon ones. Though my b is nylon. Just needs tuning more
Cool!
Hey Tomas, something I have problems with when bending is unwanted string noise. For example on the first Half bend 2nd string when I am releasing the bend the 3rd string will ring out. I think it might get hung up on my finger nail or my finger tip. Any advice, perhaps a video that might help with that?
same problem with me
Same here

Muting the unplayed strings is important in good guitar playing. I think a trick you can use here is to place the "supporting" middle finger a bit more towards the 3rd string than normal, so as the middle finger will end up muting the 3rd string.
