@TOPBLINK fixed it, thanks lol, shouldn't post things at 1am. It feels kinda tragic because they were starting to excel right before covid with their bronze in the van 2020 7s. Rugby Canada has some major issues in admin that need to be dealt with. Otherwise, the men will keep losing to spain in both 7s and 15s. Our pathway is so convuluted, inaccessible, and broken that we will never be able to take full advantage of the talent within our country.

@@GoodOldCinema miss Hiryama so much. I don't think the problem lies so much in the players themselves, but the organization run by the wrong people. The difference in investment between the mens and womans sport is night and day, and you see that result in the 7s and 15s world stage. With that being said, the mens sport isnt as popular due to things like football, but regardless, the only real way to play rugby outside of highschool for mens is in a local club team, with those outside of BC and Ontario having a really hard time finding any progression route, leading to it not being considered as a legitimate career. The amount of universities that only offer the womens sport compared to the ones that offer both is pretty concerning, and with that coupled with the collapse of the only canadian MLR team, the future looks bleak unless someone actually takes charge to fix this mess. With the amount of continuous scandles in management, and nobody being removed, I don't have hope outside of individual clubs taking in the financial burden of trying to grow our grassroots programs and hope that opportunities eventually develop to connect it with our national program.
