      it's always a journey! I like to recall how far I've come; that's why I started recording my stuff from the beginning. it helps a lot to just sit and be introspective, helps ya see where you're at compared to yourself 1, 2, or 3 years ago, because your past self is the only person you have to compete against!

I’m way more familiar with analog mono knob per functions synths and even semi modular.. I don’t hate menu divining. what would be a better route.

    @Ricky Tinez,
    Dude, you should try "mastering" your PO-33 through the Digitone's Master page. I've been using it on mine all the time lately and it's pretty incredible how much depth and life the stereo separation, reveb and chorus can add to those lofi, mono beats.
    I actually use my Digitone more for finishing off other hardware than I do as its own synth anymore (though it is glorious for that too).

    Hi Ricky, and thanks for maybe passing by and reading. I wanted to ask for your help with my digitone (that's why I'm using this post), specifically regarding Overbridge Digitone inside of Ableton. I've already read many posts about overbridge not recognising Digitone plugin inside of ableton and most user solved this problem lowering the buffer size both on overbridge and in ableton. I did the same thing but my Digitone gets recognised by Digitone app standalone but not in Ableton Live. I also read that Overbridge is compatible with Digitone firmware 1.40 and I upgraded my digitone to 1.41: could this be the problem? Please please help me solve this problem because Digitone inside of ableton could improve my workflow so much!!!!!! :) Last thing: when using digiton plugin inside of ableton, can I still use my Focusrite USB Audio as main interface, while using Digitone via usb in ableton? Thank you so so so much for any help and suggestion. Love your channel and keep up the great work and your commitment as always. greets from Italy

I think it’s breaking the creative flow for even a second Your brain thinks you’re trying to remember something new and it just swipes away that melody or whatever’. A few more years when we’re all half Android we’ll be able to lock that short term memory in an app or something hopefully ha .

    Hi Ricky, You say you love learning but that's why I watch your videos because so do I.
    I've picked up loads of tips from you, plus your video's are well made, look nice and are genuinely interesting and entertaining.
    I don't own a digitone and can't imagine I ever will(never say never though, right?)but I bet pick some kind of practical tip up from this video. You have a further 12 minutes to prove me right or I'm unsubscribing😜.

      That’s super tough to decide between. Ones FM ones subtractive. Kind of depends on the sounds you’re looking for.

    I still think it's not cool that Elektron glued a keyboard onto the Digitone, then charges double for Digitone Keys. Nice video, though. Had a Digitone, but it was defective, so I returned it to Guitar Center and got an Arturia MiniBrute 2S.

    It blows my mind that Elektron would not give you this. This video has what, 50,629 views? So if 1% of potential buyers pulled the trigger on this because of this video...?

    Digitone ulitmate fm sound . uh no my friend :)

      Ward de jager I had a Fs1R. It is technically far more powerful but so difficult to program even basic fm. I can actually create really usable sounds on the digitone. I never created a single usable sound on the FS1R. I just used the presets until I sold it on.

      I wish the fs1r was a little faster. I tried it out but lost inspiration quick :( I’ll check the others out though!
