I still think after this long of a wait the “glory” of it has marinated (yes I know that sounds weird asf). They could definitely do a three year time-skip. Go through their own arcs (which I’ve come up with many ideas for), and ultimately decide to stay in Gravity Falls after the summer is over. For both Dipper and Mabel, Piedmont, California never suited either of them (from context clues).
It maybe doesn't need a direct season 3, but maybe some spin off that even if it'd end up being mediocre (which I don't think it would be) wouldn't ruin the show in any way. Showing Ford's research and how he wrote the journals would be a pretty obvious choice in my opinion and you could probably also include Fiddleford as the founder of the society of the blind eye in it.

yeah.... I don't think there's really anything wrong with Roadside Attraction as an episode, I think it was just incredibly misplaced in the season, which makes all the little inconsistencies add up (Dipper not being over Wendy, Ford not showing up or even getting a mention, the gang leaving the shack after putting the unicorn shield over it) I would honestly be fine if Little Gift Shop Of Horrors was replaced with it bc it'd fit much better as episode six of S2 rather than sixteen.
I think this video put into perspective just how bad Star Vs’s finale is. Like if you think about it every major Disney animated show from the 2010s and early 2020s have either had great or top tier finales, while Star just completely lost everything that made it great by the ending.
Funny how you mention the relative lack of Gravity Falls rankings, honestly if I wasn't lazy I'd have made one but I'd probably be rehashing a lot of what you and Schaff said lmao. There really is only so many ways to say Gravity Falls is peak television and one of the best cartoons ever I suppose. Also that video at 47:34 seems awfully familiar... 🤔
I like to think that every time he is arguing with Stanley about something, Stanley brings up how Ford shagged the triangle and automatically wins the argument because how do you even argue against that
7:00 I actually remember a Mable hater saying that Giddoen is more mature then Mable. As Mable is too immature then the other kid characters. TLDR: Mable haters suck and I’m so ashamed I used to be one of them.
@@Crafte13 I guess since they said at least Gideon apologize But so does Mable. So, what are y’all on about? Mable really deserve much better from the fan base
What was that dude on? Gideon tried to kill Mabel's brother, endangered the Pines family on multiple occasions, and exploded their safe to steal the deed just because Mabel wouldn't be his girlfriend. I didn't think Mabel haters could get any more stupid but here we go.
I saw someone use the same excuse but they added Pacifica as well. I like Pacifica but there’s a reason why that girl had a multiple episode long arc about being a better person and Mabel didn’t 💀
19:38 I’m so happy The Deep End is getting its flowers, genuinely one of the most underrated episodes ever. Ironically it had the most premiere viewers of any episode in the series, probably because it aired after the Wizards of Waverly Place movie.
Dang I watched the show as it was airing even seeing that teaser with the monster that eventually got a short where it ate Halloween candy. Except it was found footage video camera like. Has it really been that long
@@jesseburgener442100 percent agreed some jokes can save episodes same with boy crazy can't be bottom for me because of the hypnosis sub plot song with Wendy and Robbie I forgot how funny it was. "And You'll be hypnotized"
Bro what… last night I searched up “all gravity falls episode ranked” and was disappointed that pretty much the only result is still schaffrillas video. Now today this is in my recommended lol
Not What He Seems is so incredible and I'm so glad people recognize it as the shows best episode. What gets me specifically is the scoring. From the moment Stan runs into the basement to the very end of the episode, the music, every line delivery, every pause- its genuinely perfect. And no matter how many times I watch it, no matter if I know the lines by heart, if I know exactly where it goes- it has me at the edge of my seat. Every single aspect of the show is working together so seamlessly that I somehow forget I'm watching a show every time. Not to mention I'm obsessed with how the scenes were colored. This episode and Scare-oke are genuinely just gorgeous to look at and I need to study their lighting and color choices indepth.
Loved the bit on “Lefty” where you had to clarify that he’s technically facing right since you had to flip all the clips. That is one unintentionally hilarious moment LMAO
Gravity Falls is the only show aside from Pre Season 4 SpongeBob where I can find myself quoting so much of the show's dialog. It's one of those shows I grew up with, and watching people react to it for the first time is nothing short of joyful.
Actually, Alex Hirsh came up with lots of ideas for his episodes but some never made it in. The way he explained it, I don't think what you're saying's the case.
Funny how you say that but Bill cipher wasn't actually meant to be a major villian or character lol he was out in the intro to add mystery it's only after his first appearance did they decide to keep him around as Main villian
I've written stories before, it's not that simple. You have to right drafts, then edit, then make more drafts, until you can get something good that STILL has writing flaws.
28:18 I started watching GF after it had stopped airing, and I made a decision to save the shorts and watch one every time I started missing the show, and only recently did I finish watching them.
The Fixin' It With Soos shorts are indeed peak. My top 5 favorite jokes from the two shorts: 5. "THIS IS DEFINITELY NOT AN ACCIDENT!" 4. Dipper and Wendy's confusion at Soos' outbursts 3. "Some things... even Soos can't fix." 2. "Lasers! LASERS, DUDE!!!!!!!!!!!" 1. "I make my own economy!"
Gravity Falls is just such a good show that I find it almost shocking it manages to be very consistent with not even a single bad episode. The characters and world building just manages to click with you, combine with a very relatable message which arguably can be a better moral than the likes of Amphibia, and The Owl House. Those shows have relatable message and themes in their own perspectives, but there just something about the theme of growing up and how it plays out just click with me the most. This was a great ranking videos, and made me want to keep watching this show for how fantastic it is, and how is one of the very few shows that will always stand through the test of time
Said this once on Twitter but I genuinely think Roadside Attraction would have been improved by being both earlier in the season and also an episode about Stan helping Wendy get over Robbie instead of Stan helping Dipper get over Wendy. Just replace Candy with a new character or someone else and you got a banger episode.
I only realised how good gravity falls was when you did the ranking at the end, literally on every episode the back of my mind said "Whaaaat I love that episode!"
I know logically that season 2 was the perfect end for this show. No need to drag out a tightly written plot like this. HOWEVER i also yearn for more interactions between probably my favorite cast of characters ever. Id especially love to see Fords dynamic with Stan (post Weirdmageddon) and Mabel, as well as finally get a Wendy episode
Agreed there are more stories that can be told and I want them to be told. I just think That Alex is comparing any continuation of the show to almost unbeatable expectations and memories the original show had. I know he can make another show or spin-off it all depends on if he thinks it could live up to Us the fans. Because that's who he doesn't want to disappoint the most more than anything.
I do not envy you, I couldn't imagining ranking gravity falls, I can't even think of one's I don't like. Maybe that one where Stan tells you spooky story's about products but that ending haunted me as a kid XD stan really just kidnapped a dude to use as a prop
7:44 The one thing I will say is I'm pretty sure Stan thought that Mabel had *wanted* to date Gideon, so that's partly why he was so quick to Bud's idea to make money off it, like a "well if she's at least happy, might as well" type thing. Dipper was the only one she told, so I'm sure if stan knew she was being peer pressured, he wouldn't have done that; as while yes he's money-driven, he cares about his family more
Here after the thumbnail change. Gotta say I like this one a lot more for it’s simplicity, and the fact that it keeps up the theme you set from the Star Vs Ranking video. I personally think you should make every ranking video thumbnail in this style, just for the consistency and uniqueness. Keep up the great work Toonshi 👍
1:02:37 When this episode premiered when I was 7, I cried at the ending. And I was that young to understand how sad the ending was but, that just shows how emotional it is. I remember seeing the promos for Weirdmageddon with all of the parts combined and I'm sure they didn't premiere part 1 of it until February or March 2016. Around that time I pretty much was watching Disney XD on a daily basis and since I was a Disney Channel kid, I was even watching the channel for hours on end. I would rewatch some episodes of Gravity Falls as a way of me being patient for the finale, as well as watching shows like Wander Over Yonder, Star vs and Phineas and Ferb almost daily. I was so hyped when I saw the promo considering the fact I had been a fan of the show for 3 years, at that time I only started to become a die-hard fan of the show and it truly become my number 1 hyperfixation since 2017 and still is to me to this day. I vividly remember coming back from school every single Thursday at 5PM catching the premiere of every single part of the finale and boy, every minute of it was worth it even when I was 7. It was just so intriguing to me to see how Dipper and Mabel were able to overcome Bill Cipher with the help of The Stan Twins. Just me seeing that final blowout when Grunkle Stan punched the hell out of Bill to his death gave me goosebumps as a kid especially since it was so badass. In my latest rewatch of the show, I cried even more at the ending, this time I cried so hard and for a long time that I started rolling on the floor like when SpongeBob cries on the floor for a long time in some episodes of SpongeBob SquarePants. That is how you know that the show has been resonating with me throughout the years and it holds a special place in my heart. Thank God for bringing the legend Alex Hirsch himself to life in order for him make a cartoon that will influence many other Disney Channel shows heck even some from outside of Disney Channel. Hence why Gravity Falls is my favourite show.
The Love God is my favorite episode, in part because of its early 2010's hipster and indie vibes but also because it focuses on Mabel and Robbie, two of my favorite characters from the show. The love potion is sort of like the hypnosis used in Shallow Hal. It alters your perception but benefits you with no drawbacks. Unlike when someone is drugged, no one is taken advantage of, and there's a mutual feeling of adoration. It's an absolute win.
It does also present a very valid point about group dynamics and change within them. When the change is badly taken it’s a status quo that fixes things.
20:12 soos was there for a reason earlier in the episode Dipper and Wendy tricked soos into thinking the duck floaties were alive and wanted to be free so he broke in to free them
Yeah I agree the Mabel hate is a little over the top I think we should have gotten one more episode like the puppet show one where she had to give something up to make Dipper happy or to save him but honestly that's a minor nitpick and I think the show handled it well with what we did get.
W toonshi, made me appreciate this show more as I was watching and had watched all episodes growing up. Definitely never cared this much but revisiting through this video made me recognize its greatness, peak, and uniqueness. I do think they could continue as long as they have good ambitions and quality control but it really ended perfectly
Ugh I need my town to do a summerween because where I live it’s too cold on Halloween to just go out so kids and adults end up having to wear coats over their costumes and that’s no fun for anyone
Thank you for doing a task many think is easy and trivial but is actually about as hard as stopping Weirdmagedom. We all love so many episodes its hard to rank the Best of the Best.

Psst: I love your Mabel video. I love how every episode, even the weaker ones, can boast one absolute gem. "Dipper vs. Manliness" has that awesome montage song ("Keep on shaving that hairy uncle!"). "Boss Mabel," which I've heard criticized as a weak episode on more than one retrospective, has that brilliant "Go to commercial!" bit, as well as the "Stan Wrong Song." Even "The Love God," one of my own least favorites, boasts the second-best end credits song of the whole series (behind the aforementioned "Stan Wrong Song"), "A Goat and a Pig." No episode is without its delightful moments. 43:50: Possibly my favorite Mabel moment of the entire show: "Bill Dipper!... BIPPER!" The tone Kristen Schaal employs when reading that one word, "BIPPER," is perfection.
I think my biggest gripe with gravity falls after rewatching it for the first time since I was 12 is that SO many of the episodes are dipper centric. It just feels kind of odd that our main characters are twins but one of them seems to get more narrative focus? I kept groaning during dipper vs manliness because I just wanted to get back to whatever grunkle Stan and Mable were doing. I LIKE dipper, and I especially related to his nerdy awkward preteen-ness as a kid, but as an adult, it gets a bit tiring. Also it sucks wendy is there basically for dippers development and no other reason. That’s genuinely the only problem I have with the show though. Everything else I think I love even MORE as an adult than I did as a kid. Book of Bill was such a treat too. Great video!
What if instead of dippy fresh it was freaky fresh and instead of punctuating every sentence with a high five he punctuated every sentence with a freak.
43:53 speaking about forgetting about mentioning stuff from the episode, you forgot to mention about how Disney got away with a m*stub*tion joke in this episode where Soos says to Melody that he had to go to the bathroom in a long time not in the weird way implying that he was secretly simping for Giffany
Has anyone ever thought about fiddleford remembering stuff about the journal being in dippers body in that body swap episode. Would that kind of bring his memories back before that season 2 episode
I think one piece of the magic with this show that other shows have yet to replicate is the interactivity that it had. Other shows have overarching mysteries, but this show packed every episode with tons of small puzzles, cyphers, and tricks for fans to find and figure out. This led to every episode feeling like a treasure hunt and it united the community to find them all, even if the puzzles didn't relate to the the overall plot
I don’t really hate or even dislike roadside attraction while i do agree with you it would’ve been better eariler on i still think it was pretty good and when i was really really little it was one of my favorites from season 2! which it definitely isn’t anymore and i don’t like it that much anymore but still it’s a pretty good episode
I watched the show as a kid. Roughly 8 years ago. And Weirdmageddon was 100% three parts I just love body swaps in general honestly I think you can justify love potions if you see them as only effecting love. They basically just cause a crush but it's still your decision if you follow through Technically, not everything comes back. The shapeshifter doesn't, which is sad because I'd have loved to see him and Ford interact. The ghosts also don't come back
As a kid who lived in a house in the middle of the woods, the hide behind fucking traumatized me. I remember seeing it and immediately running to my dad telling me him we needed to move to a neighborhood. I think it gave me a fear of the woods, it was so bad
I love this video so much. It was so fun to watch you. Talk about gravity Falls. Just wanted to know if you would ever talk about Danny Phantom because that’s a show that I love and I watch every Halloween.
I love Gravity Falls, it is a special show to me Bill Cipher is one of my favourite antagonists ever, and I was excited when his book came out Nice video Cartoonshi! :)
I'm perfectly content with them ending the show at season 2 after seeing what other shows have gone through.

I actually remember a Mable hater saying that Giddoen is more mature then Mable.
As Mable is too immature then the other kid characters.
TLDR: Mable haters suck and I’m so ashamed I used to be one of them.
I don’t think that person knows what mature means.
@@Crafte13
I guess since they said at least Gideon apologize
But so does Mable.
So, what are y’all on about?
Mable really deserve much better from the fan base
It's strange how people write "Mable" instead of "Mabel"
What was that dude on? Gideon tried to kill Mabel's brother, endangered the Pines family on multiple occasions, and exploded their safe to steal the deed just because Mabel wouldn't be his girlfriend. I didn't think Mabel haters could get any more stupid but here we go.
I saw someone use the same excuse but they added Pacifica as well. I like Pacifica but there’s a reason why that girl had a multiple episode long arc about being a better person and Mabel didn’t 💀
You and Mali's mental breakdown over Stan beating the shit out of zombies is absolute gold.
that thing about stan beating up zombies? felt that. just. yeah.
agree
19:38 I’m so happy The Deep End is getting its flowers, genuinely one of the most underrated episodes ever. Ironically it had the most premiere viewers of any episode in the series, probably because it aired after the Wizards of Waverly Place movie.
Dang I watched the show as it was airing even seeing that teaser with the monster that eventually got a short where it ate Halloween candy. Except it was found footage video camera like. Has it really been that long
Before I watch I’m predicting either roadside attraction or Love God is in last place.
EDIT: 1:03:31 Called it.
First place is going to be some episode with Bill cipher in it .
Just saying
I dunno why but I misread Love God as lowtiergod
Love God gets saved from last place thanks to it having "I Eat Kids", quite possibly the show's greatest joke
@@jesseburgener442100 percent agreed some jokes can save episodes same with boy crazy can't be bottom for me because of the hypnosis sub plot song with Wendy and Robbie I forgot how funny it was. "And You'll be hypnotized"

I AHVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS
Bro what… last night I searched up “all gravity falls episode ranked” and was disappointed that pretty much the only result is still schaffrillas video. Now today this is in my recommended lol
Honey wake up its a cartoonshi upload😊🥺
1:52 WAIT THAT’S WHY PEOPLE KEPT SAYING IT’S A TRILOGY!!
I really appreciate the fact that you encourage people to take breaks!
Loved the bit on “Lefty” where you had to clarify that he’s technically facing right since you had to flip all the clips. That is one unintentionally hilarious moment LMAO
THATS WHAT WE’VE BEEN WAITING FOR!
“Please go take a break :)”
“No…no I don’t think I will-“
Gravity Falls is the only show aside from Pre Season 4 SpongeBob where I can find myself quoting so much of the show's dialog. It's one of those shows I grew up with, and watching people react to it for the first time is nothing short of joyful.
The secret to Gravity Falls's success is simple. Know how your story begins and ends from the moment you draft your pitch bible.
Actually, Alex Hirsh came up with lots of ideas for his episodes but some never made it in. The way he explained it, I don't think what you're saying's the case.
This comment has to be satire because its a MIRACLE that it turned out this perfect
Well this is just a lie. Shows you have 0 writing experience. Like someone said it isn't that simple

I started watching GF after it had stopped airing, and I made a decision to save the shorts and watch one every time I started missing the show, and only recently did I finish watching them.
Even when Gravity Falls made a “bad” episode, it’s not awful or even outright bad. Just weaker than then the standards of the the show they’re in.
The Fixin' It With Soos shorts are indeed peak. My top 5 favorite jokes from the two shorts:
5. "THIS IS DEFINITELY NOT AN ACCIDENT!"
4. Dipper and Wendy's confusion at Soos' outbursts
3. "Some things... even Soos can't fix."
2. "Lasers! LASERS, DUDE!!!!!!!!!!!"
1. "I make my own economy!"
Did anyone else decide not to take a break with this video? Sorry Cartoonshi
Into The Bunker, Northwest Mansion Mystery, and Bottomless Pit are my favs.
This was a great ranking videos, and made me want to keep watching this show for how fantastic it is, and how is one of the very few shows that will always stand through the test of time
I wasn’t into story driven shows as a kid including Gravity Falls and that is one of my greatest mistakes in life.
4:36 I just realized what the joke is it took me 6 years
What is it?
@@somethingcraft3148 'y-you see it's funny because marriage is terrible."

Said this once on Twitter but I genuinely think Roadside Attraction would have been improved by being both earlier in the season and also an episode about Stan helping Wendy get over Robbie instead of Stan helping Dipper get over Wendy. Just replace Candy with a new character or someone else and you got a banger episode.
schaffrillas productions made one so why shouldn't Cartoonshi make one too?
People can have different thoughts and opinions, that's why.
@@brytilaarand thats why he SHOULDN'T?
Yeah, why not
Because Toonshi could give his own thoughts on these episodes.
how are people misreading this comment
I have watched the entire show three times over the course of the past few weeks.
I am mentally sane.
real
Dude every time I just see a picture of Mabel flying after letting go of the button makes me tear up
I only realised how good gravity falls was when you did the ranking at the end, literally on every episode the back of my mind said "Whaaaat I love that episode!"
I honestly think Roadside Attraction should've been scrapped and replaced with an episode focusing on Mable and Ford Bounding
That or Stan n Wendy solo episode
M..M..Men???? 39:05
Yes, I like them.

Summer-ish
It's september ... so yea kinda summer-ish
BILL CIPHER?!
BILLLLL WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE
38:47 They’re so real for this
7:44 The one thing I will say is I'm pretty sure Stan thought that Mabel had *wanted* to date Gideon, so that's partly why he was so quick to Bud's idea to make money off it, like a "well if she's at least happy, might as well" type thing. Dipper was the only one she told, so I'm sure if stan knew she was being peer pressured, he wouldn't have done that; as while yes he's money-driven, he cares about his family more
Great video as always cartoonish
thanks for making me cry
20:12 soos was there for a reason earlier in the episode Dipper and Wendy tricked soos into thinking the duck floaties were alive and wanted to be free so he broke in to free them
The scaryoke stan discord call was everything
Can you do this to Amphibia and The Owl House too. To complete the saga GF, TOH, Amphibia and Svtfoe
And The Ghost and Molly McGee
And Phineas and Ferv
And Wander Over Yonder
Yeah I agree the Mabel hate is a little over the top I think we should have gotten one more episode like the puppet show one where she had to give something up to make Dipper happy or to save him but honestly that's a minor nitpick and I think the show handled it well with what we did get.
“Mabel goes a bit too far in one direction” I see what you did there
Hi cartoonshi! 👋 love your videos and would LOVE to see one like this on the venture bros. Love that show! 😁

W toonshi, made me appreciate this show more as I was watching and had watched all episodes growing up. Definitely never cared this much but revisiting through this video made me recognize its greatness, peak, and uniqueness. I do think they could continue as long as they have good ambitions and quality control but it really ended perfectly

Great video love your content
As a new fan i really appretiate these videos
Ur cooking man
38:55 so real for that imao
Great video!
also..I LOVE boyz crazy…I found so much of it so funny, although I do agree the characterization is not the best
Caroonshi upload. Me love it.
GF theme on electric guitar goes hard
Can you rank every Wander Over Yonder Episode?
If you want to do more rankings, I would love for you to rank every episode of Amphibia and the Owl House.
Has anyone ever thought about fiddleford remembering stuff about the journal being in dippers body in that body swap episode. Would that kind of bring his memories back before that season 2 episode
Why I like gravity falls:
Dang, these characters are actually likeable??? Like everyone BUT Gideon???
I think one piece of the magic with this show that other shows have yet to replicate is the interactivity that it had. Other shows have overarching mysteries, but this show packed every episode with tons of small puzzles, cyphers, and tricks for fans to find and figure out. This led to every episode feeling like a treasure hunt and it united the community to find them all, even if the puzzles didn't relate to the the overall plot
Your ranking videos are so fun. I want you to do The Owl House or Amphibia next 😁
Amazing video! Also holy crap! Didnt take you for a yakuza guy! I pointed when i heard bullys lullaby!
no wonder you died temporarily, you cooking this heat
I don’t really hate or even dislike roadside attraction while i do agree with you it would’ve been better eariler on i still think it was pretty good and when i was really really little it was one of my favorites from season 2! which it definitely isn’t anymore and i don’t like it that much anymore but still it’s a pretty good episode
I watched the show as a kid. Roughly 8 years ago. And Weirdmageddon was 100% three parts
I just love body swaps in general honestly
I think you can justify love potions if you see them as only effecting love. They basically just cause a crush but it's still your decision if you follow through
Technically, not everything comes back. The shapeshifter doesn't, which is sad because I'd have loved to see him and Ford interact. The ghosts also don't come back
SUCH A GREAT GREAT VIDEO BRUV
As a kid who lived in a house in the middle of the woods, the hide behind fucking traumatized me. I remember seeing it and immediately running to my dad telling me him we needed to move to a neighborhood. I think it gave me a fear of the woods, it was so bad
