Thanks for the extremely educational video. The knowledge gained from it will be useful to me in just a few days. Thank you for the lack of background music
The zero point on my commandante is a bit ambiguous. On what I think is click 1 gravity doesn't move the handle. However, a little pressure on just on the grind adjustment does move the handle. What think is click zero has makes a different sound and the handle is more solidly locked in place. How can I be sure my click zero is actually click zero?
Hey mate, Thanks for watching my video and I am sorry to hear this. I have heard of this being a common issue with come grinders and to my understanding it usually occurs later on when your grinder is older, especially when grinding on finer grind size settings. Best to get in touch with either Comandante them selves or the reseller / distributor who sold you the grinder. Good luck and hope you can solve this problem. Liam Basic Barista
Hey, I believe so... The burrs are hard but if you were to grind through a stone or something other than coffee you can run the risk of breaking the burrs
@@TheBasicBarista Hi! This is really interesting :) Do you only put oil onto the shaft? By using even a tiny amount of oil, don't we run the risk of having ground coffee sticked to the metal shaft?
hi. vthanks for icluding which way to place the washer. My axel doesnt come out?. I tried to push it and pull it out. it is a mk4. please help. do i need to forcce it?
Hey sometimes the washers attachced to the axle do get a little rough and stuck. Try not to force it too much tho, don't want to bend the washer or damage anything.
Please don't use olive oil, it will evening go rancid and sticky. Sounds like a recipe for disaster. Mineral oil is a better bet, it's used for maintaining wood as well.
Oh awesome I’ll look into it! Only reason I have been using olive oil all this time is because that it’s what Comandante recommended when I asked them. Thanks so much for watching and the comment 🙌
