Virginia Wallnut is muuuuuch better for me! Here's the question, is it ok if handle not fixed permanently, but has some small range of movement when on the grinder

I have a question regarding the cleaning liquids. How important is the wood care set/ burr care set? I’ve never seen anyone even mention them except for this video where the wood fluid is briefly mentioned :)

Finally a video that discuss a detailed maintenance of the Comandante! Also the first vid that I saw which discuss the wood care balm that Comandante is selling. The Virginia Walnut is more appealing as it shows the grains of the wood which it came from.

Great and quick deep dive into the history and tips of the comandante grinders. Didn't know there was a C20 version in the previous iterations. As for me, I prefer the liquid amber.
I love my Mk3 so much,
C40 is my go to grinder when ever trying new beans and brewing outside.

Comandante is really a good choice for all travelers and outdoor people, who love great coffee on the way. I would definitely go with Virginia Walnut because of its natural look. 💙
I own the MK3 Red Sonja, and it is still the main gear for filter brew. Have experienced problem of cracked lid (but still usable until now) and stuck jar, but the performance is still as great as since day one.
The liquid amber seems most appealing to me. I have always been intrigued by this grinder. Build quality seems top notch. Thank you for the detailed video.
Comandante shows that everything can be made in Europe and not just designed. The price is higher, but it's a grinder for life and not like a smartphone for two years. Virginia walnut is a classic, but liquid amber looks really great.

Great informative video. I screw on stuff the wrong way all the time, so the freezer-tip is quite brilliant (I'm going to use that for everything from now on)! The virginia walnut-version looks pretty amazing. Love to own one of those.

I have tried my friend's commandante and I can clearly taste the difference of the grinds it produces compared to other grinders. The brews definitely tasted more sweet and fruity/juicy after comparing the same coffee bean, grind and brew with my cheaper grinder. Also, I think I like the shade of Victoria Walnut better.
Can I also suggest if you can do some pour over recipe recommendations for some beans or on how to bring out certain taste notes better. Thanks

I have Comandante, the best grinder for rest of my life.
One thing of note is, when cleaning, remember the position of the burr you detach relative to the crank and when assembling return it in the same position. Not sure if the factory "ideally" calibrates just for one position (there are six possible positions you can attach the burr to the axle), but I've noticed that in one position of those six burrs are not touching even at the setting of 1! On others, they touched at positions 3, 2... So it looks like there's one perfectly centered position and the others are a bit off.
Always looking out for the commandante to up the pour over game! The Liquid Amber Variante looks especially gorgeous

I like the liquid amber mode more. The lighter shade of wood seems nice. There isn’t too much of a difference that I can tell from the video so they both seem like awesome grinders!

I have an Aunt in California whose name is Virginia. I also lived in the state of Virginia for a number of years while I was in the Navy. Saying that I think I still prefer the Liquid Amber finish as that is a good description of have a cup of lovely coffee. Great video. I have a black C40 and wrap rubber bands tightly around it to keep firmly in my hand as I grind.

Love the liquid amber one! They do like very similar but I feel like the amber tone warms up the environment and gives me a cozier vibe! Also the name liquid amber sounds so nice
