Yeah pretty much. I'm trying to specialize in carburetor bikes only, mostly Vintage ones. I used to work on all bikes, but fuel injection bikes need specialized equipment and each brand requires different types so I just stop working on them. I have enough Vintage work to keep me busy. I have years worth of restorations on the books and that I'm working on now. I enjoy it, although I have days I wish I didn't do this for a living....🥴
@@thedragon2299 . Agree. Now it takes a laptop, power commanders , 3D mapping, all that stuff. Even some suspensions are electronically controlled. Even traction control on race bikes. Guess I'm getting old but my traction control is my right wrist...
my 01 FZ1 has been sitting for 14 yrs. I had a fall of a ladder. Now all my surgeries are done I got it started!!!! Put 3,200 miles on it. It's running a little garbled in the lower. I have Ivans jet kit and I called him. He said sitting that long my primary have to be plugged. Can't find any shop to work on it so Im going to attempt it. Got new boots, carb kit o-rings. any special tips?? I was hoping you were in Washington state
@sekaf4125 Glad you are on the mend and back on 2 wheels. It sounds like the carbs need a good thorough cleaning. Not only cleaning the jets, but cleaning the passage ways in the carb bodies themselves. I usually take the carb cleaner with the little straw and squirt through the passages to ensure it comes out the other side. Running rough at lower rpm is usually the pilot jet, and the slide needles usually have some residue on them disrupting flow. Either way a thorough cleaning and new kits will do wonders for the bike. Make sure you install new spark plugs too. 🐉🐲
@sekaf4125 heat up all boots with a hair drier, I don't recommend a heat gun unless you are really good and aware of damage that could be done including burning down the garage, but a hair dryer is just right. Becareful prying on the carbs you can brake them in many was, maybe watch some videos on it first. Good luck 🐲
lovely bike got one the same . lovely country too1 what a great place to ride a bike.wish I was there instead of here in England with a commie dictator. We need a TRump
@jamessimpson-q3w It's a great bike, belongs to a family friend now, used to belong to my son in law. The riding here is phenomenal, lots of country mountain roads. And the law pretty much leaves us alone, can have loud pipes or whatever. Trump is the man, things are looking up. Thanks for watching.
You got some cool bikes to work on.

How did you turn the idle down a bit?
Turned the idle speed adjustment knob counterclockwise, to the left, knob is on the left side of the carburetors
✌️😃👍
