There will always be doom and gloomers, but the 911 has survived so long because they make a variation for every style of driver. If you want a manual RWD you can still get that despite some models going PDK/AWD. You can get a naturally aspirated engine or you can get forced induction. There is a flavor of 911 for every driver. This move to hybrid though is industry-wide and I really don't like it. I'm sure they will be fast, but so are Teslas. The experience won't be the same. And that is what people are referring to when they talk about XYZ killing the 911. The experience continues to evolve, and for some that is harder to accept, so they keep their older models.
Not bad... I bought a 911 Carrera T a few years back. Really enjoy the manual... If they really thinking about putting this with a manual, would be interested to see how it drives
@HumperMKB Using the exhaust to power the generator is not the same as using the exhaust to power intake air! If intake air is comoressed by the electric motor, then jt is a supercharger! Porsche has increased the size of the turbo and reduced the number of turbos from two to one because there is no turbo lag! So it is a supercharged engine!
@@LWRC what do you want to call such a contraption that the compressor can either be power by exhaust, or electric, or both ….. hmmmm ? It now has three different mode of operation rather than just one, but it still has the one mode that would make it a turbo ….. you want to go “by definition” so it’s not a turbo, but also not a supercharger….. now what ? Perhaps we can call it a variable input ratio multi power charger …… 😂🤣
You're talking nonsense. Other manufacturers of sports and super sports cars (e.g. Ferrari, Lamborghini) are already successfully using similar hybrid drives.
Doesn’t look good for Porsche not use the technology and have top of the line cars lose to cars less than half the price does it. You think they should have designed a new full ICE engine that’s gonna beat every hybrid and electric don’t you . Probably not possible
All wheel drive will kill the 911
Water cool will kill the 911
PDK will kill the 911
Hybrid will kill the 911
😂😂😂

Nice! About to start reckless deals in hopes of being able to purchase one used!
It already came out but the testmules right now is the new GT3RS and GT3 Touring

Is there no more sports exhaust? Sound much much worse than the old one and the oval pse pipes arent shown
My dream…
Needs a techart exhaust system
Sounds too quiet.
I want a T hybrid 4W Turbo in manual!
At first I thought the video sound is muted LOL
Neat
Literally no engine sound at all? May as well be fully electric?
Its not eletric, it has exhaust
then you'd have to charge it and it would be too heavy to get around corners.
Where is the sound? Dayson 🤦♂️
Electric turbocharger??!!! Is it an electric supercharger or is Porsche doing something with electronic control of a turbo?!
They add a motor/generator to the turbo
So it can use battery power to spool up the turbo
Or recover energy from the turbo to charge the battery
@HumperMKB
Anything mechanically driven is a supercharger and not a turbo - by definition!
@@LWRC
OH I SEE
How do you then also address the second function of the contraption where the exhaust is use to drive the turbine then the generator

Turbo touring package sounds like a Carrera S lol.
what are you talking about? The Carrera S used to naturally aspirated and sounded great, unlike the turbo.
@@DonLee1980 I don't mean the exhaust sound, I meant the package itself feels like a Carrera S with less hp.
Going to be super heavy I’m sure it’ll be super fast but those back wheels look too big. They’re starting to get cartoonish.
20s? 21s? They have been using those sizes for years.
Are you referring to the width or diameter of the rear wheels?
the T-hybrid system added to the GTS weighed only 50kg. Meanwhile the hybrid systems in the other performance cars add 150+kg.
*I'd be OK, with an automatic hybrid that all you can hear is wind and tire noise, as long as it's Fast AF!*
Same old in another re skin, yadi dadi da.
Hybrid is not an upgrade... it's the end of an era. The 992.1 will go down as the pinnacle.

@@bartomiejmiara8975 Yes Lamborghini and Ferrari have also ruined their vehicles and reputation.
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Call me crazy but... cars are just too fast now.
