One suggestion I would add: don't set double tap action on any of the capacitive buttons because it increases the latency of response. The reason: software waits extra time to check if you would tap it second time. You can easily feel the difference in comparison to on-screen buttons and you can see it multiple times throughout the video ( 9:29 )
You're right. I noticed this when I had triple tab to magnify once. I thought my phone was freaking slow as hell, but when I turned it off became blazin' fast again (OnePlus One)

thing to add to the video, some versions of the oneplus3 seem to not have the colour tint adjust to the screen. there is a invert colour notification menu button (you have to edit the features in your notifications menu to enable it) which is very handy for people with poor eyesight my uncle has 15% vision and this feature is a literal godsend for him! I don't think i've seen this in regular android versions also the dark modes save battery aswell as make it easier on the eyes and look badass ;) AMOLED displays adjust brightness of each pixel individually, so having black themes and menus can really cut on battery life since a display will use the majority of your battery.

Anyway to adjust the volume of the speaker without touching the actual volume rocker button? I watch UA-cam videos on my OnePlus One a lot and I get really annoyed when I have to change volume with the actual button. I feel like at some point I'm going to wear that button out.
Buttons are designed to last over 100,000 uses. You aren't going to wear the button out any time soon. My mom's iPhone 5 (2013), my dad's Samsung that I have no idea what it's called (like 2010?), my old Moto G (2013) and my iPod Touch 5th gen (2012) all have perfectly working buttons. It's not an issue.
I recently received the 3T. I have my phone set to dark mode, but my shelf is still bright white. Idk how to get that to change. Also, I notice that the 3T has an option to sound the alarm even I'd the phone is turned off. I think that is one of the coolest, most useful features ever.
Jay M Yes. But I think maybe it needs to be plugged in. I tried it unplugged and it didn't work. But I only set it for a few minutes ahead of time just to try it. So that might have been why it didn't work unplugged. But it definitely works while plugged in and turned off. It's amazing.
I've got a question. It would appear that on the oneplus 3, the youtube app does not (yet) support videos shot in 60fps. It plays them in 480p. Is there anyway to fix this? Or do we just have to wait and hope that either oneplus or youtube fix this?

I don't think it's possible to do it with the innate settings, but download Nova launcher (free version) and you'll have the choice to allow 5 icons in a row on the homescreen.

i have one.... left it on charge.... from 0 to full and the phone itself barely has any heat slightly warmer then my hand they have the bit that gets warm in the charger itself. (normally in the phone)
Sir today i received my 1+3 from amazon, and on charging within 5 min it got heated too much and reached about 60% charge. Because of this heat disipation i unpluged it and within another five minutes the charge came down to 32%. all during this time no app was running other than charging. Is it normal for the first day or something is wrong? should i talk to amazon customer help lines.

If the screen automatically turns off when you put the phone close to your ear during calls, then there should be nothing wrong with the proximity sensor. Proximity wake requires you to wave your hand slowly over the sensor, which is right next to the front facing camera lens.

i ordered from oneplus.net and its about a 3 week wait. Amazon is quicker but has 3 negatives. 1.)It's selling for $500-550. Buying directly from 1+, its only $400. 2.)The ones on amazon are international editions of the phone which doesn't come with a USA warranty. 3.)1+ also offers extra coverage for accidental spills and damage. $65 for 18 months and $80 for 24 months.
Oneplus is having a shortage with its AMOLED displays so it's taking much longer for the phone to ship. In some areas, the company stopped sales all together. I ordered two Oneplus 3s. The first one, a soft gold version, came within a week. It was crazy fast. The second one, the graphite version, took around 3 weeks. That's just my personal experience (In Canada btw).

Thanks. It turns out the phone defaults to the Swiftkey (?) keyboard. The mic icon is TINY and shared with the comma. I didn't get I was supposed to lean on it to activate. When I switched to the Google keyboard the mic was more prominent.

The display resolution looks just as good as qhd. Remember when Apple was selling "retina" shit? Well, this is way over Retina. Meaning you can't see the pixels, it's really sharp. The battery is a given for all modern smartphones.
While I would certainly be happier if it were a 1440p screen, it's not a big deal on a screen this small. You'd be hard pressed to notice a difference.

The soft gold looks fantastic. Honestly the gold really is so soft it's basically silver, so I'd choose based on whether you want a black or white screen-side. I wouldn't worry about the cases they all look great...

Near Field Communication? Allows phone to exchange info with a short distance without a cable. I think you can give/get contact info just by putting 2 phone next to each other. I don't know for sure. (i don't have a phone, yet)

My only complaint about this phone is the dim screen under a direct sunlight or if you Wear your sunglasses,you can't see too much.

Definitely not normal for the Oneplus 3. Mine does heat up at all while charging.
