+JerryRigEverything Erica Griffin and others with same as your subs getting sample phones from vendors i think if you are not getting then they should seriously consider you I wonder why Google suggestions never clued you in my home tab of videos before 🙄
+lonesomedovepk imo he will never get free sample phones because if the phone is trash and he destroys it the company essentially payed for a negative review
same... software experience 9/10, they fucked up accent colors in system on oreo and also removed always on display, now i have to lift it...otherwise an amazing phone and absolutely 0 lag in everyday use, only FPS is a bit weak in some games (still playable tho, like 25-30 fps)
Heero Yuy the 3t isnt a big difference. Only faster chip and because it needs more battery a bigger battery. The only good reason would be 128gb for the 480$ version, but you could better just store that much info on your computer or USB, USB with the special converter only costs like 25$
This is probably the best video i've ever seen for durability tests. You didn't say one word that is useless to this review. First video i saw in your channel, instantly subscribed. Freaking awesome video, good job dude!
+myNEONCITY Camera is gr8 for an average user like me..find it better than the iPhone 6s..battery is good too but dash charge is the no.1 feature of this phone!
It does, but he makes serious good videos, and tests the phone seriously. Be thankful his videos are productive and he's not dropping shit from 1000 ft
i think a lot of us come here for for phone destruction, but I honestly like the educational approach you've taken to these videos. More often than not, the destruction videos people put out are pointless, even though they're very fun to watch. This isn't the case with you.
I really appreciate that, brother! I'm still in the beginning stages. Seeing comments like that from people I watch on a regular basis only motivates me more. Thanks for all you do.
Even though he is destroying it, he is doing it scientifically and I love that. Not mindlessly boiling the phone in coke. The screen heating test is the best in my opinion, because I have a oneplus one which gets very hot and the screen's part just behind the processor becomes very very very hot like 50-60 degrees celcius+ (not kiding, pokemon go does that) and when that happens that particular part of the screen becomes yellowish and washed up in color. But the phone recovers quickly no matter what. Oneplus really wants their customers to love them.
this might be slightly irrelevant to the video at hand but I had a request for a video to consider making. Basically a workbench/desk tour of all the items that you seem to find yourself constantly using as they are pretty much neccessities whenever doing teardowns for any phone all the way to the items you rarerly use but it has saved your behind on a couple occassions and saved you from either having to order something and have it ship in a expedited manner or have to stop disassembling in order to pick it up from a specialty/general store. Currently trying to build my own little work area for tinkering and disassembling (or "unbuilding" as my mom used to call it) and it would be useful to see the types of tools someone that has been doing it for awhile now tend to use.
Have this phone for 2 years now. Amazing durability. Six months ago, it fell out of a car at 80 kmph and besides some battle scars on the aluminium at the back from tumbling around, the phone worked like a charm.
+JerryRigEverything I enjoy your videos, but had some feedback. Having worked in product reliability at T-Mobile's corporate corporate campus I can't say we used any of your testing methodology. Perhaps it's your role to "jerry rig" the tests, but I just find your results to be scientifically flawed and inconsistent. The most scientific part of your test would be with Moh picks, but even then they are flawed as you aren't using uniformed amount of pressure. Moh's hardness scale can be deceiving since pressure is not regulated. I could easily take a pick with a hardness of 1 and appear to scratch any phone. I wouldn't be scratching the phone as much as crushing the glass, but with your tests you don't have controlled amount of downward force. When it comes to phones bending, we never do it by hand as that is completely dependent on uncontrolled factors such as your strength used, how you are holding it, amount of pressure being applied by your thumbs contact, and how much friction your fingers have on the phone via your skin oils. We instead use a Instron machine with regulated protocols which dictate the placement of the bend, size of plug being pushed on to the phone, and the amount of pressure. When it comes to reliability we use an actual 360 tumbler machine that all phones must cycle through X many of times. all testing has strict protocols when loading the device into each rig.
I can hear the screams of a poor phone in your hands. Anyways, since no phone actually undergoes that kind of controlled testing, (read torture) it's reassuring to see how well a phone can fare in your tight jeans pocket, or if you accidentally drop it, or if your little brother scrapes a knife across the screen, or drops it in a flame. Though these are unlikely, buyers will want to see the longevity of the product.
But it does give a coarse idea of how durable the phone. Jerry is a bit more practical than those machine testers in the company. He is mentioning those daily life mishaps that may happen with phones.
Yes, one of the strongest, i am proud owner of OP3 since 3 days ago haha. Awesome quality and insane speed. Also if you really want to know the most tank device which jerry tried to bend, is HTC 10, check his video, you will be impressed.
Silent intrudeR OnePlus 3 is still pretty good. For me, these extra euros are not worth it. SD820 does good job already. And a lot more people uses OP3. And OP3 is more popular than OP3T. Till yet, I'm fine. I screwed up my phone once few days ago by trying manually update to nougat via TWRP and I forgot to remove fingerprint and etc and so I had to format my phone and lost everything.
man i absolutely love this video want to watch it again and again.By far the most precise and scientific durability tests i have seen in a long time hays off to you sir 1million is near i can sense it.
I have a huge indent on the back of my oneplus 3 and it works just fine. every thing works. I had a glass screenprotector on it and the screenprotector looked like it was shot by a handgun. No broken screen or anything broken stuff inside the phone. That shows how well the oneplus is desinged and built.
man really it was shocking for me to watch that scratched badly your brand new pin packed mobile ... but man really appreciate .. hope u get as much as followers and viewers that must be here
Hi Jerry i didn't know how to contact you and thought this would be the best way to, there is a video that infringes your copyright... It is on UA-cam channel name MiniTechII.. Thought you'd appreciate it.
Jerry you make great videos and it seems that you have a lotta money to scratch, burn & break these devices. I enjoy seeing it.! :D :P But I have a really important suggestion for you, add a phone drop/fall test to your videos for phones because falls & drops are probably more frequent than scratches & bends (for sure). So test the phone's durability by dropping it off the jeans pocket height & our shoulder height (height while standing & texting). This drop will most definitely be as useful as all the other tests if not more. I hope you read this comment & implement my suggestion.
JerryRigEverything the s7 or the one plus 3T?I enjoy quality screens(quad HD),but performance is really significant to me,too..I want to upgrade.Still on my s5.
man, u really r very professional & logical. Really thumbs up for all ur videos coz durability & understanding ur phones weakest points & specs is really very important issue. Thanks again
I've watched a few of your videos and honestly,if you weren't constantly asking for likes and subscribes using sentences that show your desperation like "If you're happy that this isn't your phone, subscribe",i'd like your videos and subscribe to your channel
JerryRigEverything Can you make a durability test to OnePlus 3t , I heard that it has more durable screen and sapphire camera lens so it would be great to see the test.
Hey JerryRigEverything, I really do love your endurance tests and breakdown, I know a lot of people dislike them, because "you're just wasting money and electronics, just give it to me" but honestly tests like these and technical breakdowns like yours, are a good way to gauge the quality of a mobile phone. Watching the several tests shows you that you can rest easy about the phone or effectively shows what the perils of buying that phone can bring. The teardowns are awesome because when you see what's inside the phone, it's a good way to see if the company cut any corners in building the phone. I love this endurance test on the OnePlus 3 most of all cause after watching it, I know now that I have to be careful with mine, but at the same time, I can rest easy knowing that it won't break any time soon. You're an awesome guy, and I hope you continue to show us what these smartphones can endure
I am so happy to have bought this phone. It's a real fighter. It's cools down very quickly, and also it doesn't heat as much as any other phones. The most premium feel phone
I own a oneplus 3T and several years on it's still in brilliant condition and working snappily as ever. Durability champ! It's had some major abuse too! Even got thrown out of a moving car
My one plus three is a beast. I've dropped it several times accidentally from some height onto very hard surfaces (tiles, concrete etc) and its walked away with tiny scratches and dents on the corners. No broken screen at all no matter how bad the drop looks.
Got the OnePlus 3 just for the heck of it. I didn't expect it to be made of such quality materials at such a cheap price point. Damn. Hats off to OnePlus for not skimping on the build quality of the phone.
the one plus 3 is a fucking boss! not a lot of phones do this damn well on Zack's tests. and he fucks phones up good. im really impressed and great video Zack!
Don't know what it is, but I find your videos hilarious while being informative--something to be said for destroying brand new expensive tech while being completely nonchalant about it.
There are weights that you out the picks in and then drag, it would give you much more controlled results, because there's no controll over the force being applied each time the rest are no doubt inconsistent, great videos either way!!
Hey Jerry, Love the way you put different devices through toughest of the tests. Would like to see if you have done any test on lenovo phones, specifically K4 note. Did not find any so just checking
I've found it hard to decide between the nexus 6p and the op3t, as I will need the phone I choose to last me the next few years. After watching your videos I now have great confidence in the op3t lasting me through university. Thanks a lot for being the deciding factor!
thanks for the video , I have the OnePlus One almost 2 years now. I'm extremely happy with it except for recent updates by cyanogen. didn't think I'd be interested in the 1 + 3 but I'm starting to get persuaded. if they only had front facing speakers and a radio.
Thanks to this great durability video i now still rock a OnePlus 3(T), over the years (and all accident i must say) i sat on my phone countless times, dropped it countless times to the point that the metal at the corners got chipped away which i had to file down to make the surface smooth again. The finger print button, camara glass both back and front, and all the side buttons are still unscratched, apart from the screen itsself which has a few scratches but nothing major. Even though my phone has landed flat on the screen countless times aswell. The only thing thats really bugging me lately is the battery slowly dying. It does charge to 100% but the discharge from everyday usage is getting faster and faster. But i've noticed that the battery is easy to replace by taking out the 2 bottum torq screws (T2) and undoing some lego connectors to get to the battery.
i searched this phone on google and the first thing on my screen was: 1 plus 3 = 4 thanks google I didn't know

The SD821 uses less power than the 820, not more.
It says $439 on their website. I still love my OP3 though. The 64gb is ok for me
Robert Bellemakers better battery, faster cpu with lower energy, better OIS and EIS stabilisation for camera, 16mp selfie cam, saphire camera lens
+Erdem Han stabilization is worse
I'm so impressed with this phone, goes toe-to-toe with the google pixel for HALF THE FUCKING PRICE. Kudos to oneplue

Yes. It does. Pretty fucking much :'(
It does, but he makes serious good videos, and tests the phone seriously. Be thankful his videos are productive and he's not dropping shit from 1000 ft
Yeah he does at least do real tests that matters, not like a other channel that drops the same version of Iphones without any reasons.

Yes. Them both are interesting.
I really appreciate that, brother! I'm still in the beginning stages. Seeing comments like that from people I watch on a regular basis only motivates me more. Thanks for all you do.
Wow, it's very durable! Didn't expect that for a budget phone!
It isnt a budget phone, its high end, its just that OnePlus are not charging high end prices like the greedy as f*ck Apple and Samsung.
Vladimir Putin OnePlus calles their phones budget phones
As if higher priced phones are made with durability in mind.
It's more like a midranger. A $200< phone should be a budget. $200-$400 should be the midranger.

Bend test was terrible. Flame test was ridiculous. If it's any consolation, the review isn't entirely worthless. The scratch tests were alright.
Oh hey, you watched another video. Thanks for sticking around.
+JerryRigEverything of course. It is the Internet after all. :)
+JerryRigEverything 😂😂😂😂😂

Scott D The flame test he admits is useless but it's fun. However, the bend test is good
Great to see a phone that's so affordable and with quality specs also be so durable.
Thank you for your test. I've been waiting for it.

Jerry ur videos are amaizing the quality is so great keep it up man :)
Yes! I've been waiting for this :D These are interesting to watch.
There are weights that you out the picks in and then drag, it would give you much more controlled results, because there's no controll over the force being applied each time the rest are no doubt inconsistent, great videos either way!!
Hey Jerry,
Love the way you put different devices through toughest of the tests.
Thanks UA-cam for recommending me this video 4 years later.

Best test review i ' ve seen so far! Clean and cut to the point. Thank you! Just there needs to be a drop test maybe.
thanks for the video , I have the OnePlus One almost 2 years now. I'm extremely happy with it except for recent updates by cyanogen. didn't think I'd be interested in the 1 + 3 but I'm starting to get persuaded. if they only had front facing speakers and a radio.
u doin a great job ... tests till the phone shits out !! thanks for this test...
hey Jerry, just a thank you for this test, it helped me bought the best phone for me.keep up the good work, I'll be watching.
I bought it after watching Jerry's test (6 months ago). Perfect phone. Thanx Jerry)
Will be buying this soon, glad to know it's based of high quality materials and won't break easily.
you are a life saver jerry.. highly appreciate your efforts👍👍thanks
The way he writes 4... and I can tell now that his handwriting is improved after watching newest vids of s8 n g6 etc
Is the front camera lens glass as well? Looks like it's continuous with the screen, but just want to make sure. Keep up the great videos!
greats tests and effort Jerry.. subscribed!!
I'd be interested in seeing if any of the Oppo phones would survive your duribility tests, Jerry. As OnePlus is a sister company of Oppo.
