You know I’m right, Zesty. The fact of the matter is, with that beautiful hair (and beard!), Deimos looks like a God, and Kratos looks a shriveled sad scrotum next to him.
Kratos could never look like that. Granted he doesnt look his best in that game ... They took his eyebrows for some reason.... But GOW3? JesusMaryMotherofGod. Hes the most perfect male ever rendered. I get pregnant every time i play that game.
Hot take: God of War Ragnorock didn’t have enough gods. By the start of the game the Aesir are just Thor, Odin, and Heimdall. Woulda been better if they threw in a few extra from the mythos.
And Also Odin Asgardians are Weaker than Bor Era of Asgardians too( Kratos would of had to Use His Full Power Against Bor Possibly Considering Bor is Massively More Powerful than Odin or Thor)
On top of that Odin and Heimdall are the only ones who felt like villains. They hyped Thor up and then severely neutered him which was the biggest disappointment in this game.
@@AntiDegenerate1971Thors battles in Ragnarok ere way more interesting like Buldur. Nobody cares about the fight of Odin, and Heimdall was made fun by kratos before the fight even started. Kratos told mmir "I fought gods a lot more stronger than him".
Well Forsetti and Gnar existed. But Forsetti looks like a non combatant and I doubt anyone remembers he existed, and Gnar randomly left the Battlefield to follow Fenrir. I say Odin did have good Forces, but for the final War Ragnarok itselfe he lost way to many to feel like a actual treath.
Kratos had basically the strongest weapon in the series + all the godly stuff (as blades of chaos, Spear of destiny, Poseidon’s rage all his broken magic spells that he lost because of the the destruction of Greek pantheon) + the buff of power of hope that he lost in order to save the remaining survivors. He had all of this and yet he struggled to face a weakened Zeus ( Zeus was weakened by the concept of Fear while kratos was enhanced by hope) he had to defeat him several times and still almost got his ass handed to him if not for the power of hope that saved him.. Yea Norse gods are okay, but Greeks ones are simply on another level.
Where was kratos struggling? They were fairly even throughout. Plus I don't se how fear needed zeus. Plus once kratos got hope it was a rap for zues. Kratos literally stated that heimdall was formidable and thors strikes were like any he had ever felt

Hot take: God of war Ghost of Sparta has the best history in all franchise. I mean the way they show us how Kratos is not just a war machine who kills everyone and that he still has some humanity and feelings.
Idk if this is even a hot take, God of War 1 showed that Kratos isn’t just some angry man lust for revenge, he was actually pretty chill for the most part, even after Ares tricked him into killing his wife and daughter, Kratos did not want revenge at all, he went to the gods and asked them to remove his nightmares he was having over and over again, he only killed Ares bc the gods told him to do so if he wanted his nightmares to be gone but they lied. God of war 2 started with Kratos being angry for revenge but even so he had some moments of him showing his humanity.
Something people ignore is the lore for both pantheons and that both the Greek and Nordic gods are not being portrayed at their strongest in both cutscenes and gameplay and this it what leads to people thinking that Greek gods are stronger because in their cutscenes they were showed doing a little more than the Nordic ones (but again they both aren't being portrayed at their strongest)
Wrong. Greek gods were actually portrayed way less in the cutscenes. If we based their power on what’s actually written about them in gow lore, Hermes alone would blitz the whole Norse pantheon to their death with them knowing what happened.
@@madslayer4197 that’s exactly my point. Greek gods portrayal of their power way less in cinematics and gameplay compared to what’s actually their capabilities written in the GOW files. Because if they do Hermes could end not only Heimdal but the whole GOW Norse pantheon before they even know what happened. If you played every GOW you know this already, unless you’re one of those fan who just got into the series and started playing the GOW 2018 And FYI, Kratos was able to touch Heimdal with his bare fist. Tour argument is as bad as saying Kratos wouldn’t be able to reach Zeus without the Nemesis Whip.
@@renegilramos3661 No. That doesn't work. It was after Kratos used the spear on Heimdall that he was able to touch him. Your point is not proven as the need for the spear ws part of the lore while for Hermes, catching up to him was straight up within Kratos' abillity. The lore also supports the Norse Gods surpassing the Greeks in certain aspects. You've given us a failed argument. Try harder next time goofy!
HOT TAKE: Magni has the best design out of all Norse gods and demigods. He looks buff, but not fat like Thor which is important considering he is a brawler. His necklace and sword are both made out of the same material and the color flows really well with the rest of the design. Him having blonde hair and blue eyes is a nice design choice because Scandinavians are defined by their blonde hair and blue eyes because of their North Germanic descent. This makes Magni feel more connected to the people that worship him. His sword is also very unique and the way it channels lightning through out the fight is just 🤌 chef's kiss. If Zesty has 1000 subs, I'm one of them. If Zesty has 100 subs, I'm one of them. If Zesty has 1 sub, I'm the 1 sub. If Zesty has no subs, I'm dead.
Thor is stronger than his sons because yeah he may look fat and a brawler and magni looks buff blah blah blah but thor is a god though of thunder and has mjolnir which is a powerful weapon he has and it destroyed a lot of deatruction to in norse too.
@@Simplygamerboi445 Your point? I know Thor is stronger, no one said he wasn't. I'm saying Magni's strenght and agility fit his body style more than Thor's do his.
Hot take: The soundtrack: Battle of Attica from god of war chains of Olympus is the best soundtrack in the series especially at the end of it, and i just would like to say that I’m a big fan of your content from Egypt and i hope your channel keeps growing.
HOT TAKE: I do not like Thor being a drunk guy with daddy issues in raggy. I'm tired of villains being made more human and things like that. Bring back villains that are evil just for the sake of it
And also just plainly underwhelming when compared to the prospects of wielding legendary norse weapons like Mjölnir, Gungnir, Surtr Blade etc.. or returning greek weapons for that matter.
Imma just put it out there, Thor wasn't just "weakened" he had been poisoned by Jormungandr's venom for the entirety of the game, and the wound Kratos gives him at the start never heals, this is all cause of the time when Jorm swallowed the Leviathan axe in GoW 2018. Mans was poisoned, deeply wounded, and unfathomably drunk for the whole of Ragnarok, and he still makes Kratos put serious effort into trying to kill him. It's like if you injected Superman with Kryptonite and he still went on to nearly defeat Martian Manhunter
what serious effort? Did Kratos actually enter into rage mode or something? If he doesnt heal, its on him. Baldr did heal from the Axe instantly. Just as Zeus did from the Blade of Olympus reaming in his entire midsection.
@@vlad_47 Did... you not understand what my comment was about? The venom that Jorm imbued into the axe is what prevented Thor from healing, I seriously doubt that he'd be stupid enough to not heal that injury if it was possible, and even if he was that stupid, Odin damn sure isn't.
@@somedudewithakeyboard5388 I understand it just fine. Baldr healed from it tho. Zeus also has faced beings with primordial poison from Tartarus like Kampe and Typhon.

What would happen? Scenario 1: Zeus sends some of his kids like Ares, Athena, Artemis to go deal with it. Total massacre. Scenario 2: Hades or Poseidon team up and eradicate the Aesir tribe. Scenario 3: Zeus.
What massacre? Ares and athena are getting sent back in prices. Zeus is getting jumped if he goes in alone. The only way is an all lout war even then it's not a guarantee
@@madslayer4197 They even have a weapon that can do such a thing to Ares? Ares has feats and godhood in the Novel and Game that clearly show that he alone can kill all the norse tribal gods. Finally my favourite series is back 😊 Also yes I do believe that the Greek lords are more powerful it is even stated in the description of the PS3 physical edition of God of War 3 and the E3 reveal of the Game that they have limitless powers
So your only argument is a box when literally the novel based game 2018 Kratos stated that Baldur was the strongest God he fought at the time and Ragnarok Journal Kratos journal he said Thor out of all Gods he fought Thor hit the hardest and revived Kratos because he wanted to not because he was scared of Kratos.

I could see Hermes beating Heimdall. Heimdall wont be able to take his speed because noones faster than Heimdall so his foresight would be useless. That and Heimdall has never been trash talked before, hermes would bully him through methods of trash talking that even 2010 Cod players would look like babies.
@@madslayer4197 it's not just about being overwhelmed. Hermes speed would simply allow him to hit Heimdall as Heimdall wouldn't be able to react to a guy with such speed.
@azrael_morningstar if he could dodge kratos he could dodge hermes. Even so he doesn't need to be as fast as hermes, je just needs to know where hermes is going which heimdall definitely would
@@madslayer4197Hermes can create actual, moving and sentinient clones of himself by his speed in the comics. Not some double spears or something lol. Hermes is the actual diety here. @vlad_47 pretty sure his foresight wasn't fake. Didn't take long for kratos to catch hermes but he couldn't touch heimdal with out the spear. And it definitely wasn't just two. Again, making dishonest claims and calling it fact.

hot take: i do not like the rage mode in gow 3 like, the little damage it does and the lack of moves the blade has really sucks. Imagine if we had that laser blast from gow 2's blade of olympus or for like 25+ hits kratos did the Divine Reckoning and destroyed everyone arround him like in gow 2. Also being able to upgrade the damage of the rage with some hidden stuff in the game would be pretty cool
3:10 if it’s 1V1’s in all the matchups the Olympians prevail. However in a straight up war between the Olympians and the Aesir, the Aesir win for a multitude of reasons, main one being the division amongst the Olympians and Zeus’s poor leadership, he’s made far too many enemies. There’s absolutely zero rules in all out war and many ways to win, for example if Odin manages to convince an enemy to stand down or join him, that is a victory in and of itself. first thing Odin would do is identify all of the enemies of Olympus and rally/unite them which hed have a very easy time doing, that also includes kratos since he is without a doubt an enemy of Olympus. From there it’s all fairly simple, in conjunction with Gaia, the rest of the titans and Kratos, Odin would be able to orchestrate the downfall of Olympus. With how good Odin is with manipulation and deception, he’d likely be able to turn Poseidon and Hades against zeus as those three we’re already on very thin ice as evidenced by Poseidon’s letter in GOW 3, i also don’t think Hades was very happy with Zeus for letting Kratos become the God of war after what happened to Persephone. With Kratos, Thor, Heimdall and Odin all working towards the same goal there’s absolutely no chance Olympus prevails. The Olympians have no way to even strike back at the Aesir as they’d need to kill Heimdall and retrieve Gjallahorn to gain access to Asgard. Odin isn’t as good of a fighter or as Strong as the Olympians but his intelligence goes for beyond anyone in the Greek pantheon besides maybe Athena (personally i think Odin is much more intelligent.). Odin’s leadership led to an extremely long lasting dynasty that lasted thousands of years, his reign was only undone because Odin couldn’t look past his obsession with the rift/mask to see the mistakes he was making, in this scenario, Odin would not be tempted by the mask/rift as Loki does not exist yet. Zeus is a great fighter, very powerful, but he’s not a good enough leader to hold up to the pressure the Aesir would put on him, a house divided cannot stand.
The corrupted and splintered, intellectually diminished post GoW 1 Olympian pantheon cant be used, you have to take the prime version. Zeus has carried Olympus from infants fighting the rulers of the universe, to the triumph over the Gigantes and Typhon. Subjugation of the Protegonoi. He rules the universe, and these domainless, tribal pretender Aesir gods arent even remotely able to challenge him and his pantheon.
In terms of abilities(fire, ice, lightning, soul) Yes. But as an overall, the blades of exile is the clear winner. As the greek saga enters its ultimate game, the blades, much like Kratos, were at their peak and most refined. They had the most damage at the same level out of all blades(try beating god of war 3 with blades of Athena), the fastest(all the moves were done considerably fast, like the air tartarus rage) and the most refined skillset.
If i hear another person say "hes holding back" ill scream.... I dont care what the Devs say... The whole idea is preposterous. Its just because they cannot accept that Original Kratos is the GOAT and completely magnificent.... Of course hes stronger! LOOK at him!!!

Hot take i hope will be in the next let's argue: theseus is the best god of war boss. The first phase is very cool how he blocks and uses those ice spikes. The final phase is where it glows since there are minotaurs that have magic, which can be used to damage theseus whilst he shoots stuff at you. The fates are a close second.
I think the Theseus fight was good considering that it had an interesting mechanic, which was that we had to use magic to defeat him as opposed to melee. But the fates fight was on a while another level, with all the moves you can pull, all the moves they can pull and the time travel bit. Not to mention, the fates fight also had the swing mechanic incorporated to dodge Ateropos' attacks.
I wish Santa Monica made Theseus drop down, perform a aoe attack, have a fight 1 on 1 fight and then go back up. I feel like he was too simple of a boss imo.
@@Snxggy1 Same. Considering he is a pretty big and well known character in greek mythology(he took down the original minotaur), one could assume the fight would be more direct. The second phase had a good gimmick, but I generally don't like board where you mostly fight minions. I wish the Theseus fight was more like God Of War 3's Hercules fight, where he himself fights you after you fight his minions. Although, the short Theseus fight might just be Santa Monica's way of portraying how the traditional greek hero stands no chance against the beast that is Kratos
Me personally, I enjoy Garm and Nidhogg more than Colossus of Rhodes as their AI’s are actually very reactive to your moves and positioning and they have much deeper move sets

Not take: The rpg system in Gow4 and gowr are way over gated and are not really that bad. People if you take a few seconds to look at it, you will understand the stats, and especially in gowr it is extremely easy to see what is best for your style
Imma have to go with Norse gods. -Heimdall and Baulder are already broken given the fact that they can essentially neg magic and physical attacks. -Thor and his super-weapon can just one-tap most gods with critical hit to the dome. -Valkyries can be given extra power through Odin’s bifrost. They’re not just physically stronger. Their ability to cut through magic attacks and avoid most, if not, all forms of retaliation; makes them a nightmare to go up against.
Hot take: People tend to use mythological stories for Greek Gods in GoW to scale them. The thing is, God of War Greek Gods are barely accurate. It doesn’t even make sense to connect them with the stories of Typhon, Perseus AND Hercules (mind you, Perseus’ the ancestor of Heracles and at this point he should’ve been a god instead of doing labors) and so on. Although they’re definitely marginally higher than Norse, they’re not gonna stomp them easily. Hell, Thor takes all except for Zeus. People wank GoW Greek Gods’ scaling by doing this, but it completely ruins the entire GoW storyline if you do so.
There’s even Gaia herself. She doesn’t lead the Titans to a war. She just fucking tells prophecies and does things behind the scenes. It’s 0 sense for her to go into the battlefield and throw hands with the Greek Gods. And let’s not forget how Greek Gods > Primordials despite the myths clearly stating this to be the opposite 24/7. Titans, Primordials (or Protogenois) turn Greek Gods into a pancake if they actually wanted (see Titanomachy and how did it actually end. Zeus played smart by having an ally stronger than the Titans, and possibly equal to Protogenois).
In conclusion, don’t use impressive visuals to scale things. Sure, Greek Gods have shown more badass moments but statements and actual fucking lore wise they’d simply be just a little bit stronger than Norse in terms of magic, but absolutely dogshit when it comes to h2h.
I think a lot of differences between the gods strength stems from the fact that God of War has shifted its focus from being action oriented. I’m sure if GoW 4 + Ragnorok were made right after GoW 3, the Norse gods would be far more impressive in terms of their feats of strength.

(btw when he took birth time came into existence, before that no time was there) Cronos was overpowered (literally) by his son Zeus, later overthrown by him. so in terms of cosmology creation, Zeus is already 2 generations ahead of odin. 2nd he Controls the Sky (which is infinite, stated) "baldur "the power this man controlled seemed far greater than any kratos had encountered in his past life"" getting to this, it has already been refuted by the devs. A dev was asked who is stronger between Zeus and Baldur? he said Zeus 'no-contest' (which take priority than the novels) "thor who damage and shake the tree of life that supports all existence and thor send world serpent back in time and his blows can also be felt in all nine realms" lets talk about atlas a lil bit hear, Atlas is holding up the greek universe (again as I said infinite) I don't think anyone holding up infinite weight is weaker than Thor in that case. Infact far stronger. the same dude's brother Cronos was stated to be slightly weaker than him in physical strength by the devs. and that Cronos was overpowered by Zeus. " and odin scale up to old kratos and odin spells was far more powerful than anything kratos encountered" again refuted by the games itself, Mimir stated the greeks had every possible magic you could imagine. then Freya says about the sisters of fate "That's the most dangerous and irresponsible thing I have ever heard, no one has such magic" The games take priority in lore, that statement from novel gets refuted by the games.
Hot Take: Ghost of Sparta is a better sequel story wise then God of War II It moves Kratos’ character forward so well and adds so much context to his arc
Ghost of Sparta is as much a sequal to GoW 1 as it is a prequal to GoW 2. It connects these two games, explaining what happened after Ares death and why Kratos started to conquer Greece.
A lot of the lore guys I listen to seem almost unanimous in the belief that physically the norse gods are superior able to do feats of seemingly magic all through pure strength and speed such as punching so hard Jorm got sent back through time or that the battle in Asgard damaged multiple realities, while the greek gods have superior actual magic being able to manipulate time and fate.
Don't think it's a fair comparison Demos and Kratos. I mean, the whole Deimos idea was to give Kratos history even more complexity, as for his design, I don't know, Kratos being bald gives him more of the badass vibe, the angrier vibe. Believe only the hair set them a part really, deimos markings were a plot tool to make the story even more interesting so they could create another psp game.
Honestly in every single take on this situation I have seen Zeus is Stated supposedly has the King of all God's Regardless of Pantheon I have seen it in so many different franchises im not talking about God of war Just to be clear im talking over all Zeus is usually considered the Supreme God I know each Pantheon has there Own Leader

Hot take atack, all moves in God of war Ghost of Sparta are better than Chains of Olympus look at faster version of Tartarus Rage which more fits combos and also that runnig graple with 3 option just awesome
I'd say in a war betwene greek gods and norse gods, the greeks still get it because teir powers can counter quite a bit of the Norse trump cards. Baldur's immortality? Hades can eat his soul. Heimdall's Foresight? Helios blinding light can overwhelm him Then we have the battle of Olympus where we see the Gods beign quite competent in repelling the titans and causing mayhem in their ranks. In powers they seem to have more wider area effects and immediate summons (hade's chaisn and soul attacks, Helios Blindign light, Poseidon controlling the entire ocean etc) Even in brains, athena and zeus can definately outsmart odin and we know he has a lot of problems in his ranks.
HOT TAKE: All secondary weapons in God Of War 1 and 2 are shit.I know they are pretty useful but the only secondary weapon I sorta liked was Artemis' Blade.A lot of encounters were dealt more stylishly just using the Blades
@@Snxggy1 nahhh Bro. Personally i think the supreme way to handle every encounter is to use only the blades. No matter which difficulty, I play with the blades unless the game demands to use another item. Magic feels like a cheat, and secondary weapons don't give that much satisfaction. But magic is cool. The secondary weapons are mid at most. Orrrrrrr maybe I really suck at using secondary weapons because I only use the blades😂
My take, in a physical hand to hand combat/fist fight the Norse gods would win because they just seem to be way physically stronger and like they can take more damage, but when it comes to a battle where they can use all their abilities I think the Greek gods have the andvantage, just based on the fights on the original games the fights were much more in the big scale, these dudes could change form and size and their power was shown to be much more than just one element and like you said just the Poseidon example where he was shown to one shot a titan But that’s just my opinion lol
I'd say Greek gods are stronger since many major Greek gods when they died had apocalyptic consequences, while when Norse gods died there was no consequence to the world
Hot take: Dark, more horror-themed concept arts of first GOW were much more creative and interesting than the generic interpretation of greek mythology that we got. It could have been original spin on already known myths and I especially liked concept of Ares as more of inhuman force of nature rather than the standard anthropomorphic portrayal.
The conceot art looked sick, but Greek gods are supposed to look like humans, while still being these larger than life dieties. To turn them into some eldritch, lovecraft beings would be too much and the PS2 couldnt handle it anyway.
@@vlad_47 Anthropomorphic approach in GOW is selective and inaccurate to the greek myths, either way is just a matter of interpretation and vision, not authenticity. Titana too supposed to be human-looking, not just humanoid figures. If they went with original concepts, then it would have allowed for more artistic creativity. In current form gow is pretty generic and uninspired visually, because neither its creative, nor faithful to myths Also not every abstract and nonhuman concept has to be lovecraftian.
@@Paul_Allens_Profile Titans like Helios, Eos, Rhea were still in human form, while the rest of them were large like the Gigantes, pretty much. As for the visuals, the PS3 games actually had nice character models for the gods, Poseidon for example was on point. But the earlier games nailed Greek Mythology aswell, tbh except for some outliers like Hades. The concept art/original idea from GoW 1 was simply unattainable for the PS2
Hot take:I know this take can be a little nitpicky but...(you cannot put time travel in the story and do what ever you want) God of war 2 has the biggest plot hole in the franchise. Kratos goes back in time and stops Zeus from killing him, then HOW TF is he able to save himself from dying, i mean if he didn't die he would not be able to talk to Gaia, so he will not be where he is right now. But some people will say "past doesn't effect the future" then why there is that cut scene how Kratos dies when Atropos breaks the sword. There he dies because his past was changed. Same goes with the Titans coming to present, if they came back to his time, then how would Kratos be able to kill Ares in the first place, he wouldn't be able to acquire the Pandora's box because Cronos wouldn't be there.
The take about deimos being a better designed character.. I’m pretty sure when God Of War was in its infancy and they were designing Kratos, Deimos wasn’t even in the picture. Unless I’m forgetting sth from the first game.
There's a secret movie in the first game which talks about an alternate history of Deimos - as well as an alternate version of Kratos' encounter with his mother from Ghost of Sparta. It seemed like they were drafting the plot for God of War II, and it ended up becoming Ghost of Sparta.
You know I’m right, Zesty. The fact of the matter is, with that beautiful hair (and beard!), Deimos looks like a God, and Kratos looks a shriveled sad scrotum next to him.
And there it is.
Damn.
Why'd you do Kratos like that? 😂
😂 he does look like a scrotum 💀
Kratos could never look like that. Granted he doesnt look his best in that game ... They took his eyebrows for some reason.... But GOW3? JesusMaryMotherofGod. Hes the most perfect male ever rendered. I get pregnant every time i play that game.

Exactly! Everyone thinks the Greeks are stronger because "young kratos is better" and because the Greek boss fights are more cinematic
Wrong. Greek gods were actually portrayed way less in the cutscenes. If we based their power on what’s actually written about them in gow lore, Hermes alone would blitz the whole Norse pantheon to their death with them knowing what happened.

His necklace and sword are both made out of the same material and the color flows really well with the rest of the design. Him having blonde hair and blue eyes is a nice design choice because Scandinavians are defined by their blonde hair and blue eyes because of their North Germanic descent.

Also being able to upgrade the damage of the rage with some hidden stuff in the game would be pretty cool
Greek gods would absolutely beat the norse once due to Hades ability the pull out souls which none of the norse gods could defend

Hot take: Kratos would obviously solo's every single other character in gaming but in the god of war universe not only kratos but zeus could also do it, zeus is pretty much as powerful as kratos (perhaps even more). People don't take the gods that seriously but not only kratos but zeus as well could easily take on the doom slayer
Its not a hot take when you say obvious. Kratos can take down the doom slayer any time of the day
@@rudranshjoshi8142 yeah but I wasn't talking about kratos, please read the whole thing
@@kratosslayer755 Obviously Kratos can beat doomslayer but every character in gaming??? You trolling? Kratos would get maxed out by Asura from Asura’s wrath and if we just include every character in all of gaming then we can use dragon ball characters since there are a ton of dragon ball games and pretty much every dragon ball character beyond the saiyan saga would wash kratos.
Doomslayer is one of the most wanked characters so saying zeus and kratos could beat him isn’t saying much.
@@DirtyDevactually Kratos would solo the Dragon Ball verse because the strongest one is zeno who is only maybe low to slightly mid multiversal while Kratos is complex multiversal
@Rudransh Joshi I know, it's just something special about Theseus, which makes him my favourite but fates, like I said, are very close
I wish Santa Monica made Theseus drop down, perform a aoe attack, have a fight 1 on 1 fight and then go back up. I feel like he was too simple of a boss imo.
@@RedDeadSpartan31 well, he IS a pretty big name in the greek mythology. I mean he took down the minotaur
Thats funny, because I prefer Colossus ALTHOUGH I love the Norse GoW 100000 times more.
Mainly for the spectacle though.
Edit: i mean the spectacle of the Colossus fight
@@Vayne_Solidor Outside Garm, the Dragon and Jörmundandr scenes there is barely any spactacle at all.
Scale is massively downsized. Undead fodder soldiers becoming legitimate enemies for example shows this aswell.
Collosus is an quite iconic fight and actually holds his own mechanically against the Dragon. Garm has of course clearly better AI, but cant forgot its PS2 vs PS4 games here.
@@vlad_47 the spectacle is Good but because of how close the camera is it is much smaller
@@vlad_47 Sigrun still best boss. Also I meant the spectacle of the Colossus fight.
Norse GoW are better for many reasons.
Norse sad family men aren't better than the Greek GODS
You yourself are just a sad loser without family your ten times sadder
Fat kratos
hot take:
Blades of Athena Square Triangle is better than the exile one
It's not just a hot take, it's extremely important to argue ❤
It's strange that when I was a child, I asked my older brother who was stronger, Kratos or Hitman 5:26
Not take: The rpg system in Gow4 and gowr are way over gated and are not really that bad. People if you take a few seconds to look at it, you will understand the stats, and especially in gowr it is extremely easy to see what is best for your style
That commentor clearly didn't comprehend the fact that kratos literally need the power of hope, aka plot armor to beat Zeus
HOT TAKE: God of war 2 blades of Athena have a better design than the blades of exil.
I like Both Blades of Athena in Gow 2 and Ps All Star Battle Royale because they Glow unlike Gow 3 Version
I think a lot of differences between the gods strength stems from the fact that God of War has shifted its focus from being action oriented. I’m sure if GoW 4 + Ragnorok were made right after GoW 3, the Norse gods would be far more impressive in terms of their feats of strength.
Hot take: God of war ghost of sparta is a highly underrated game, top 3 gow game. Probably the most emotional story and deimos and kratos relationship was fun while it lasted, while it lacks in gameplay (the psp games aint as expansive as the ps2/ps3) it totaly makes up for it with the story and setpeices building up gow 2 and why kratos is soo pissed in that game
I loved the Greek gods of the game but personally and mythology wise norse was always more interesting to me and in the games too
Good video man.
Also, how's your day been going?
Hot take: GOW3 did irreversible damage to Kratos character of course God of War 3 is an amazing game it was the best selling in the series until Ragnarok but because it was so successful it was the first game in the series for alot of players and because it was their first game they thought GOW3 Kratos is the default Kratos so when they saw the calm and reasonable Kratos in GOW4 or Ragnarok instead of the crazy mad one they started to hate the new games
Most people don’t hate the stories in the new games if they played the previous games. They hate the lack of depth in gameplay in the newer ones vs the older ones
Kratos design is sick, not only that he has that white skinned stair, although he is balled, his design is equal to vergil and dntes design.
Gameplay wise greek gods> norse gods, lore and book wise norse gods> greek gods norse gods has more feats than greek gods lore and book wise not gameplay wise
what feats they have lol?
if you think greek gods don't have feats then you are missing out on lore.
@@HitmanHimself lore and book wise norse gods feats has explain perfectly than greek gods is what I'm trying to say.
@@RunekingEDITZ can you give me some examples of them?
@@HitmanHimself OK for example odin killed ymir first giant not a ordinary giant the vessel of power and nature itself before there was nothing in norse ymir create some gods odin killed ymir and create 9 realms including Midgard ( 7 non primordial realms) he made mountains landslide and ( I Don't know it's TRUE or not ) but it said that ymir size is big like universe ( I don't know it's TRUE or not) and cory said that old kratos> young it was stated in lore that baldur "the power this man controlled seemed far greater than any kratos had encountered in his past life" and thor > baldur and thor who damage and shake the tree of life that supports all existence and thor send world serpent back in time and his blows can also be felt in all nine realms which is infinite odin killed thor in one blow in conclusion old > young > Zeus and odin scale up to old kratos and odin spells was far more powerful than anything kratos encountered before in lore wise odin > Zeus
@@RunekingEDITZ now lets goto debunking all of this.
the greeks have their own universe creation.
the Primordials (Ouranous, Chaos, Ourea, Ceto and others) fought (some died) and Created the entire greek universe (which is infinite btw), out of the primordial war the survivor was Ouranous the most powerful of them.
that being was Overpowered by his son Cronos. (btw when he took birth time came into existence, before that no time was there)
Cronos was overpowered (literally) by his son Zeus, later overthrown by him.
so in terms of cosmology creation, Zeus is already 2 generations ahead of odin.
2nd he Controls the Sky (which is infinite, stated)
"baldur "the power this man controlled seemed far greater than any kratos had encountered in his past life""
getting to this, it has already been refuted by the devs. A dev was asked who is stronger between Zeus and Baldur? he said Zeus 'no-contest' (which take priority than the novels)
"thor who damage and shake the tree of life that supports all existence and thor send world serpent back in time and his blows can also be felt in all nine realms"
lets talk about atlas a lil bit hear, Atlas is holding up the greek universe (again as I said infinite)
I don't think anyone holding up infinite weight is weaker than Thor in that case. Infact far stronger.
the same dude's brother Cronos was stated to be slightly weaker than him in physical strength by the devs.
and that Cronos was overpowered by Zeus.
" and odin scale up to old kratos and odin spells was far more powerful than anything kratos encountered"
again refuted by the games itself, Mimir stated the greeks had every possible magic you could imagine.
then Freya says about the sisters of fate "That's the most dangerous and irresponsible thing I have ever heard, no one has such magic"
The games take priority in lore, that statement from novel gets refuted by the games.

Hot Take: Ghost of Sparta is a better sequel story wise then God of War II
It moves Kratos’ character forward so well and adds so much context to his arc
Ghost of Sparta is as much a sequal to GoW 1 as it is a prequal to GoW 2.
It connects these two games, explaining what happened after Ares death and why Kratos started to conquer Greece.
@@vlad_47 I’m aware, I’m saying In terms of acting as a sequel it beats out II in most areas for me
HOT TAKE: Some GOW3 animations seem really stiff and off-putting, and some of kratos's voice lines sound really poorly mixed
Literally no one I've seen in this debate hive the norse an ounce of credit so I'd like to see who are you talking about

Hot Take: GoW 3 rage mode is lackluster and wished it could have been better
Hot take: gow ascension is the best gow game in terms of sfx
Don't think it's a fair comparison Demos and Kratos. I mean, the whole Deimos idea was to give Kratos history even more complexity, as for his design, I don't know, Kratos being bald gives him more of the badass vibe, the angrier vibe. Believe only the hair set them a part really, deimos markings were a plot tool to make the story even more interesting so they could create another psp game.
Hot take: nemean cestus is the best side weapon in the whole series
0:23 that caught me off guard
4:40 kratos is the kid who said the same joke but louder
Honestly in every single take on this situation I have seen Zeus is Stated supposedly has the King of all God's Regardless of Pantheon I have seen it in so many different franchises im not talking about God of war Just to be clear im talking over all Zeus is usually considered the Supreme God I know each Pantheon has there Own Leader
Norse Pantheon in any Version( marvel or Gow etc) aren't Immortal. They are only Long Lived then Die of Old age(Mcu Odin died in Thor Ragnarok of Old age).
Hot take:The way you get Apollo’s bow is not that good it would have been better if you fought Apollo to get the bow.Note:You are my favourite UA-camr.
Yep. That would also have been a pretty good way to bring Apollo into the game as a boss. Maybe even Apollo and Artemis twin bosses, kinda like Agni and Rudra from DMC3. They could have been early game and the reward is good
Poseidon's entry alone in GoW 3 >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> all Norse gods combined.
Hot take atack, all moves in God of war Ghost of Sparta are better than Chains of Olympus look at faster version of Tartarus Rage which more fits combos and also that runnig graple with 3 option just awesome
Hot take: Blue tatto on Kratos looks cooler
I'd say in a war betwene greek gods and norse gods, the greeks still get it because teir powers can counter quite a bit of the Norse trump cards.
Baldur's immortality? Hades can eat his soul.
Heimdall's Foresight? Helios blinding light can overwhelm him
Then we have the battle of Olympus where we see the Gods beign quite competent in repelling the titans and causing mayhem in their ranks. In powers they seem to have more wider area effects and immediate summons (hade's chaisn and soul attacks, Helios Blindign light, Poseidon controlling the entire ocean etc) Even in brains, athena and zeus can definately outsmart odin and we know he has a lot of problems in his ranks.
HOT TAKE: All secondary weapons in God Of War 1 and 2 are shit.I know they are pretty useful but the only secondary weapon I sorta liked was Artemis' Blade.A lot of encounters were dealt more stylishly just using the Blades
stylishly? This is god of war bro who cares about being stylish.
God of war 1 and 2 secondary weapons are great, their just limited compared to the blades.

@@Snxggy1 in my next playthrough I'll try to do add you suggest
My take, in a physical hand to hand combat/fist fight the Norse gods would win because they just seem to be way physically stronger and like they can take more damage, but when it comes to a battle where they can use all their abilities I think the Greek gods have the andvantage, just based on the fights on the original games the fights were much more in the big scale, these dudes could change form and size and their power was shown to be much more than just one element and like you said just the Poseidon example where he was shown to one shot a titan
But that’s just my opinion lol
Hades and Poseidon casually playing with Atlas and Cronos
I'll still say that The Blades of Athena at max look better than the Blades of Exile and I'll die on that hill.
In Both Gow Ghost of Sparta and Gow 2 and( Ps All Star Battle Royale) The Blades Glow too with is Cool
Love youre vids
5:16 Yooo Midgard Chronicles! Daddy
I'd say Greek gods are stronger since many major Greek gods when they died had apocalyptic consequences, while when Norse gods died there was no consequence to the world
Hot take the draupnir spear is better than the blades of Chaos in gow ragnarök
Hot take: Dark, more horror-themed concept arts of first GOW were much more creative and interesting than the generic interpretation of greek mythology that we got. It could have been original spin on already known myths and I especially liked concept of Ares as more of inhuman force of nature rather than the standard anthropomorphic portrayal.
NGL i kinda hope a Celtic God of War series would go into horror and Dark Fantasy stuff
NGL i kinda hope a Celtic God of War series would go into horror and Dark Fantasy stuff
In current form gow is pretty generic and uninspired visually, because neither its creative, nor faithful to myths
Also not every abstract and nonhuman concept has to be lovecraftian.

Hot take:I know this take can be a little nitpicky but...(you cannot put time travel in the story and do what ever you want)
God of war 2 has the biggest plot hole in the franchise.
