Yes and no. All these dealers have their own shops and licences, so one is safe against buying a complete dud, however the problem is more related to most dealers not knowing their own product well enough to identify redials, changed parts, frankens etc and unknowingly selling incorrect watches

Aftermarket refers to any parts of a watch (eg dial, bezel etc) that are altered by a third party (not the manufacturer)
