Even if Raptors not make playoff this year, they have a much better future with RJ, IQ and Scottie. And if Raptors able to trade siakam to couple more young players have potential, they are going to be scary next couple year.

Word! A very slept on aspect of the Toronto New York trade...... RJ Barrett is now in his hometown and still has tremendous upside while already being a pretty good player who is terrific in flashes
They can make it to semi finals but I think it ends there at best this year. Next year they will be very solid

We're 4-0 since getting OG while yall are 3-1 since getting RJ & IQ. We can't justify paying IQ 20-25 mil a yr to play behind Brunson which is what yall will end up paying and he's worth it as your starting PG. He's gonna be a STAR!

As a fan of the NBA and a straight up Knicks fan this has been the best trade for best sides I ever seen... As Neighbors we should help each other stay great and then battle it out in the conference finals...
IQ and RJ are a good fit for the Raps. They didn't get many opportunities to run and gun in the Knicks offensive system. I wish them much success (except when they play the Knicks.)
Best believe with pascal Barnes they are going to go at it with the knicks
New York and Toronto....two different markets....each team had their own ideas about team building strategies...so each thought they won their end of the trade....time will tell who did better than the other!

Pascal fits with them perfect I'm just waiting for him sort of like KAT to be consistency aggressive inside and in the post like Julius Randle is starting to do this year.

Bro you got my subscription right off when you talked about quick pushing the ball that's the difference between him and Brunson quick plays full court fast paced Brunson wants to play in the half court and one on one. Quick used to find obi rj or mitch for lobs all the time when he got consistent minutes and especially when he played w drose
both teams won the trade. Knicks had too many good pieces and needed an upgrade for one spot, Raptors were short on talent and needed to give up an all-defensive player (imo should have been DPOY last year over JJJ) for two good players. If OG stays healthy, he will help Knicks get further into the post season. OG locks down superstars.
Toronto will Love both players but quickley is about to be superstar for em 🤜🏽🤛🏽 I didn’t mind trading Barrett but I was mad when IQ was traded too 🤬🤷🏻♂️
It's crazy drose went to grizzlies now I'm a grizzlies fan obi went to pacers now I'm a Haliburton fan and now the raptors are my favorite team to watch right now. Still watch every Knicks game love the guts there too it's so many games to watch

Keep siakim and be buyers..have Detroits pick plus gradey, g.tj, boucher, schroeder to get another special player..will be very deep team..koloko and porter getting healthy will only add..
I'd only work with Detroit if they give up Duran. I wanted Ivey, but we solved that problem with RJ and Quickly.

Why no gold chain? What if Masai Ujirin and Darko Rajaković made the trade for Immanual Quickly and RJ Barrett, but did not really want RJ? What if the “Toxic Asset” stories from “anonymous league executives” came from Masai to dampen fan enthusiasm about RJ? What if RJ blew that story up by going 37/6/6 against the Golden State Warriors? What if RJ’s people understood Masai and Darko’s scheme was to get RJ off the contract or trade the toxic asset? What was the tell? Darko refused to play RJ for the whole fourth quarter of the Kings game. Then Darko refused to give RJ that cheap Raptors chain after the Golden State game? What if that showed Darko’s and Masai’s true intentions toward RJ?
ROFL they did not MAKE Curry shoot that bad, he just had a bad game. I do think that Toronto is trying to within the next 2 years have a team full of the players that represented Canada in the Cup.

Very premature. RJ Barrett is a toxic asset that will only hurt the team in the end. Scottie’s already low offensive usage compared to what he should be getting is even lower now. Barnes development is the only thing that matters for this team right now and this trade doesn’t help that.
May work in the long run with Quickly but slow down on celebrating this
As a Knick fan whose watched his career with them n with Duke, I agree…
Something not mentioned too much is that he’s a real alpha dog and is on a mission to be THAT GUY but he’s never been consistently great and both knicks best guys are dogs who are proven and more consistent
It came to the point his high usage rate with poor efficiency eventually began hurting the team
And I am still a huge Barrett fan, I’m excited to see him get it together I knows there’s another level to his game when he’s fully confident
@@jovictor9064 I agree on Barrett’s offensive mindset, disagree about him having another level. He’s a guard version of like a Josh Smith. Abysmal offensive efficiency that will never get better. I like Quickly a lot and think he can become a great player. But bringing in 2 very high offensive usage players into a rebuilding situation where your young star is becoming a superstar is, at the very least, suspect. We’ll see what the plan is with Pascal getting traded but the main goal should have always been to get Barnes more usage.
RJ was trash on the Knicks. Proves many players can’t handle New York.
It’s not New York it’s the system
He is clearly better utilized if he is surrounded by shooters around him instead of pop and shooting 3rd in NY. He def can contribute through his drives and size
