If after do I need to wait 10-20 mins after applying tretinoin to use the nivea cream later? Lastly, does the Nivea cream need to be applied on dry or wet skin? Thank you.
Don't use the Nivea cream before it contains a high amount of petrolatum jelly; the tretinoin will have difficulty penetrating through it. If you have textured skin and you want to smoothen it, I recommend watching this video here: How to use The Ordinary Cleanser Toner and Moisturizer: ua-cam.com/video/aco7szeznH8/v-deo.html
I wouldn't use it on oily skin. In fact, oily skin does not need a moisturizer. You mainly want to add hydration to the skin using a hydrating toner/essence or serum. If you want to use a 'moisturizer', I recommend using either NIOD Hydration Vaccine or The Ordinary Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA to rebuild and strengthen your skin barrier.
This cream includes ingredients that makes it extremely difficult to only wash it off with water...either use a wet washcloth when washing the rest off or wash your face with a cleanser! :)
Technically yes. Still, it feels greasy and too heavy. Look for something that isn't as rich for your oily skin and primarily focuses on hydrating it, such as a Hyaluronic Acid serum (example Timeless or The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid serum) or Neutrogena Hydro Gel.
Hey, happy to see you again :) No, when using this moisturiser as a face mask, it won't exfoliate your skin but nourishes the skin so that it feels smooth and moisturised after you have removed the excess :) My skin did feel smoother after the mask, and I think that this is a great way to do just before going to bed :)
Hyaluronic acid is a sugar. It is not be confused with other acids like salicylic or glycolic acids/lactic acids, which exfoliate away dead skin cells.
You can use Hyaluronic Acid along with Lactic Acid or Glycolic Acid or Salicylic Acid, that's fine. However, I do not recommend using Lactic Acid, Glycolic Acid and/or Salicylic Acid in the same routine since those 3 are all exfoliating acids. Use only one of them to avoid skin irritation and pair it with Hyaluronic Acid :)
My suggestion would be using their baby line, which may be more suitable since it does not contain any harsh ingredients which may irritate the skin. www.nivea-me.com/en-me/products/babies-kids/care/baby-care

Thanks for the video but Nivea has got thicker over the years, I used it 40yrs ago and was fine. Recently started using it again and it takes ages to smooth into my skin. I have dry skin but not as dry as a crocodile lol. I think the formula of Nivea has changed. Don't really recommend it but maybe I should try mixing it with another product (not water based) 🤔
Hey! :) Hm...maybe! I'm not sure about this. Since knowing this cream (as a child), I'm not aware of a change in formulation or texture :) You may want to try the Soft Moisturizing Cream! :)
if you're in europe I don't think the formula has changed. you need to rub it between your palms before applying and don't put on a damp face as you said. I often mix it with nivea care for better application, e.g. apply a layer of nivea care over water based serums and then classic on a dry face
During the first weeks, yes, your skin needs time to adjust to it. Also, keep in mind that the cream mainly is used for rough patches and dry skin. If you have an oilier skin type, I do not recommend it ;)

Hi, nivea cream can be used on normal skin?
Well it can, but I do not see any need to do this. It is primarily used to help prevent water loss (so for dry to very dry skin)
@@MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet but it is good for normal skin to smooth
If you have textured skin and you want to smoothen it, I recommend watching this video here:
How to use The Ordinary Cleanser Toner and Moisturizer: ua-cam.com/video/aco7szeznH8/v-deo.html
Is it ok to oily skin?
I wouldn't use it on oily skin. In fact, oily skin does not need a moisturizer. You mainly want to add hydration to the skin using a hydrating toner/essence or serum.
If you want to use a 'moisturizer', I recommend using either NIOD Hydration Vaccine or The Ordinary Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA to rebuild and strengthen your skin barrier.
Is it ok to just remove the rest of the mask with normal water after waking up?
This cream includes ingredients that makes it extremely difficult to only wash it off with water...either use a wet washcloth when washing the rest off or wash your face with a cleanser! :)
Can we use for oily skine ?
No, use a lighter formulation instead. For example CeraVe Ultra Light PM lotion.

can i still use this even if i have oily face?
Technically yes. Still, it feels greasy and too heavy. Look for something that isn't as rich for your oily skin and primarily focuses on hydrating it, such as a Hyaluronic Acid serum (example Timeless or The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid serum) or Neutrogena Hydro Gel.
@@MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet thank you so much!!!
Did you use it as a face mask to exfoliate the skin? did it work?
Hey, happy to see you again :)
No, when using this moisturiser as a face mask, it won't exfoliate your skin but nourishes the skin so that it feels smooth and moisturised after you have removed the excess :)
My skin did feel smoother after the mask, and I think that this is a great way to do just before going to bed :)
@@MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet It does exfoliate the skin. It exfoliates my skin every time I use it like that.
Fantastic video. Useful and informative and a great clear and succinct way of presenting as well. 👌😌🔥👌
🥰
Hey can you use lactic acid and glycolic acid or Salicylic acid on the same routine with hyaluronic acid ?
Hyaluronic acid is a sugar. It is not be confused with other acids like salicylic or glycolic acids/lactic acids, which exfoliate away dead skin cells.
You can use Hyaluronic Acid along with Lactic Acid or Glycolic Acid or Salicylic Acid, that's fine. However, I do not recommend using Lactic Acid, Glycolic Acid and/or Salicylic Acid in the same routine since those 3 are all exfoliating acids. Use only one of them to avoid skin irritation and pair it with Hyaluronic Acid :)
Love how you pronounce nivea should trademark it
It's just how the brand name is originally pronounced, so I doubt that I can trademark that, haha.
Can we use this after applying toner? anyway, i love your review ❤️
Yes you can! 🥰
@@MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet thank you melissa 😍
Can I use 2 years baby on face nd hand food?
My suggestion would be using their baby line, which may be more suitable since it does not contain any harsh ingredients which may irritate the skin.

Does it help for Acne??
No, it's great if you have dry skin :) For acne, I recommend Salicylic Acid or Benzoyl Peroxide.

No, there are different formulations available in the market. What specific type are you looking for?
Okay....I want to be fair but part of my body are dark and some are fair ...so want Nivea that can make all fair please
@@esinamhomadi5242 No, this product is not intended to lighten or whiten the skin. Its purpose is to hydrate the skin and protect it from moisture loss.
@@MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet okay thanks
Is it necessary to apply Nivea cream in wet skin?plz reply dear..can I use both morning and night same Nivea cream for all season?
No, if you do that you will smear it around ;) If you have dry skin yes you can use it as often as needed during the day.

Can i use my face
I recommend watching the video :)
I'm a newbie on skincare and I gravitate towards your channel when I search for my needs *subscribed*. One question, I can use Nivea (Men) Creme after my TheOrdinary Niacinamide serum right?
Hey!
Thank you!🥰
Sure, that's fine! :)
Can we mix the ordinary vitamin c l absorbic powder with nivea 🙄????
I haven't tried it yet. But not sure if it mixes well because it has a lot of Petrolatum in it, so better to use a lighter formulation. For example, the soft moisturizing cream.
Hey Melissa! I am June Chan, I would like to ask if you know someone whose name is Joviliza Chan?
Hello June, no I don't😉
Thanks!
Thank you! 🥰
Very nice thank you for idea..
Thanks for the video but Nivea has got thicker over the years, I used it 40yrs ago and was fine. Recently started using it again and it takes ages to smooth into my skin. I have dry skin but not as dry as a crocodile lol. I think the formula of Nivea has changed. Don't really recommend it but maybe I should try mixing it with another product (not water based) 🤔
Hey! :)
Hm...maybe! I'm not sure about this. Since knowing this cream (as a child), I'm not aware of a change in formulation or texture :)
You may want to try the Soft Moisturizing Cream! :)
Ive used the German version since I was a child and it hasn’t changed at all tbh. There are different countries using a slightly different formula
if you're in europe I don't think the formula has changed. you need to rub it between your palms before applying and don't put on a damp face as you said. I often mix it with nivea care for better application, e.g. apply a layer of nivea care over water based serums and then classic on a dry face
But cause purging?
During the first weeks, yes, your skin needs time to adjust to it. Also, keep in mind that the cream mainly is used for rough patches and dry skin. If you have an oilier skin type, I do not recommend it ;)

❤ I have no it 😊
