How is Palmer the biggest regret when Eto won the treble after Pep let him go
He’s won the treble with palmer ..
Palmer was bench warmer. Barely played in premier and champions league @JohnDoe-kp3tf
Eto'o
@@JohnDoe-kp3tfshut up you mug
Eto'o won the treble? Inter milan won the treble. He wasn't their star player or anything. Diego Milito, sneijder and the defence won them that treble.
Having this video drop right after Palmer bags a hattrick vs United is great timing.
Warra hattrick two penalties and a deflected goal with that cringey ass celebration. Don’t get me wrong he’s having a great season but it wasn’t really the best hattrick. I get penalties aren’t a sure thing but come on. Yes I’m a man United fan and no I’m not over that loss yet ☠️
It's was a dull hattrick. If Garnacho had those same chances, it's going in aswell. I'm not a Chelsea or Man Utd supporter, but that wasn't worthy of being a huge highlight.
@@tobiasa9071lol hope scoring 4 was a worth highlight
@@elxtroh2183is a perfect hat trick cringy enough for you?💙👍🏾
@@tobiasa9071How about a perfect hat trick before his obligatory pk ? 😎💙
Craig is the only one who makes sensible points on this podcast, everyone else is driven by agenda
It’s a football debate, pal. It’s not that deep.
@@archiewall124what is he saying that makes it sound like it's deep to him??
@@archiewall124he made an observation you fanny
Not this time unfortunately
all the others quick to overhype English players especially. Real Madrid?! Calm down!
Palmer explicitly said he wanted to play regularly at City or he wanted a loan. Guardiola told him that he either had to stay as apart of the squad, or if he really wants to move he would have to go permantly. It was Palmer's decision, not Guardiola's. Guardiola has admitted he thought he was an unbelievable talent, and every time he played for City, the fans knew he was a special young talent. As a City fan, I would've loved him to stay, but he wanted to leave for a guaranteed starting role, he would've been a 3rd choice rotational option off the right wing behind Bernardo and Foden, and I respect the balls it took for him to make the jump to Chelsea.
Much better on the right than Bernardo & Foden
@@abdullaaayelasimayer8703 please tell me you’re joking
If Palmer was wanting a loan and pep said stay or sell then it’s peps fault for selling not Palmer, cuz Palmer was fine with a loan and coming back to fight for a place
You literally said yourself that Guardiola refused a loan move. So it was his fault, wasn’t it? lol.
@@austinlarrimore6542 But he wasn't coming back to fight for a place, he would've been coming back expecting a starting role. Guardiola is not an idiot, he has said many times how highly he rates Palmer before most people even knew who he was lmao. Palmer expressed his desire to play regular football, Pep realised that he wasn't going to satisfy his needs with the quality of competition we have in his area, and Palmer had to make the choice between slowly integrating into the City side, like Foden, or go elsewhere and get the football you want. Pep likely rejected a loan because he wanted him apart of the squad right now and to slowly integrate him, Palmer didn't want that.
this is not a Pep let him go thing, he wanted to Foden him and Palmer wanted more
So we're in April and Pep still has City going for back to back trebles, and potentially adding another record by winning the league 4 times in a row.
But yeah let's just keep talking about this narrative that he made a mistake with letting Palmer go.
Why can't it just be, that both club and player are on two different paths and it was better for the player to forge his own path somewhere else..
Facts!
Both things can be true at the same time you do know that yeah. How they keep going on about this narrative. Have they been making multiple videos about this ?? Serious question cause this the first one iv seen. Oh and I a Utd fan but can just fu**ing see city winning the treble again. Beating us again in the fa cup final 😭😭😭😭
When Poch left Moura on the bench in the CL final I was like "You bloody idiot"
Pep didn’t get rid of palmer because he wasn’t good enough as everyone on here keeps indicating - pep has clearly shown from the past that he values squad harmony over quality, hence why he let Sane go, Torres go and now palmer - pep would rather have let them go than be unhappy on the bench and ruining the dressing room potentially - also palmer and pep agreed to let him go on loan, the plan wasn’t to sell until Chelsea put in an offer on deadline day
Not really. Listen to Pep interviews. He said he respects talents. And Bench is one guy who.never fears a good bench.
I think there is just that thing you may not get right. This one Pep didn't get right. Pep knew he was good, but if he knew he is this good, he would keep him
An absurd debate when Palmer wanted to leave because Pep didn't give him minutes but this season he would play because of De Bruyne's injury. Pep is not to blame
Pep signed Doku. It is his fault, absolutely.
@@archiewall124cuz mahrez left
@@BiggestBirdonMars you're so close
The fact pep destroys the league and wins all these trophies . And ppl debate this type of nonsense amd question him , is beyond pathetic
Can we just get Craig a Spurs & City half and half scarf!
He has to rep City because the is an agenda from whoever the Arsenal bloke is and Brian who hates Pep because he seems like a "cheque book" manager to him for some reason
As usual, misrepresenting what actually happened. Pep didn't want to let him go. Pep and City wanted to keep Palmer but the player wanted basically to be a main guy and because City rotate so much and he has Foden, Grealish and Bernardo already ahead of him he's not guaranteed anything. He also was on a much lower contract at City since he had just come out the Academy so Chelsea came in with a big contract and promises to push him as a starter.
This has happened multiple times at City. If a player wants to go they let them go. Pep does not want people in the dressing room that are more out for themselves than the team. Also, what has Palmer achieved so far? He's playing well in a mid-table team. It's only a mistake if City fall off and Palmer outperforms the City wide players over a significant period of time. And even then it with what they knew at the time it was still the sensible decision to let the player move on.
Considering Palmer according to abunch of people was okay with a loan and pep forced it to be permanent sell then yeah it is kinda on pep
@@austinlarrimore6542go to sleep please
Cole Palmer to Real Madrid 😂😂😂 have a day off lad
It’s so funny how every big 6 fanbase just baselessly asserts that Real Madrid are interested in their promising young players as a way to hype them up.
As always Craig is the only one making some sense
💯
Trying to say Caicedo has anywhere near the level he was last season is major coping.
This has aged well…
People bring up pens but scoring isn’t that easy and shows the kid has balls and can play ball. He’s a quality player who’s done more than other youngsters and was brilliant for the u21s when they won the euros.
Come on, penalties are far easier than goals in open play
@@_newmantube_ Yet far more experienced players miss it when it matters most. Especially in big games.
Craig talking the most logical sense here 👏🏽
I don't think it's Peps greatest mistake. I think it just shows how good City's squad depth is that they can sell Palmer.
Palmer going to Chelsea, who are a big team but a bad side was really good for football as it allows a terrible footballing side to have that one star that all the fans love.
He would’ve been a small fish in a big pond at Manchester City…
8 penalties. Decent player but let’s pipe down a bit
Is he supposed to miss them?
@@egill817that’s not the point he’s saying is it you melt? Look at how many other players have scored more then him without pens, good season but the original comment is right.
@@allip2modsaresimpingdiscor284 if you’re awarded a penalty, you’re supposed to score them. All bar one of Messi’s goals in the World cup came from penalties, But he still scored them and won the World Cup. I would argue that it’s quite impressive to score 8/8.
Penalty is part of the game
@@allip2modsaresimpingdiscor284But Haaland scoring tap ins is fine?
Idk all the names of the lads on the kick off but the spurs fan has been providing a lot of the ball knowledge in the last few vids I’ve watched
You ryt my G , dis guys just wabble
Remember the name Oscar Bobb, Good luck to Palmer tho
Great timing on this one! 🥶
IT'S GETTING COLD HERE 🥶🥶
12:24 has a Chelsea fan we need to realise yes it is his first season plus all the other teams now are going to know how he plays and how to deal with him. Especially in the second season hope I'm wrong and he kicks on again. Plus you should have better players around him next season when they've come back from injury
Regretting what exactly? Chelsea are in 10th, City competing for a title.
Why is everyone making out that Pep didnt want Palmer ?! He literally wanted him to stay to continue fighting for his place but Palmer wanted a move away where he was guaranteed the game time. And as history shows, Pep isnt going to force anyone to stay that doesnt want to play for him
Palmer to Chelsea now is what Gerrard to Liverpool was 🤷🏼♂️ a fantastic footballer in a crazy avg team .. (Chelsea fan)v
Pep also didn't take the option to keep Douglas Luis at Man City.
There have been several conversations where he has been mentioned as the best performing CM in the league this season. Easily a 60-80m player now.
he didn't meet the requirements for a work permit at city so they pretty much had to sell him can't really blame pep for that one
@commonknowledge73 @commonknowledge73 not fully correct. That was mainly when they loaned him out.
The moment he could have kept Luis was when he sold him to Villa. Villa applied for a work permit for Luis and he got one straight away. A year later City had a 15m option on him that elapsed. That was their moment. No work permit required any more.
A bargain for any half decent player and didnt take it. Yet signed Kalvin Phillips for 45m 😅.
The clause lapsed and so he signed a new deal with Villa. Now a full Brazil international and the best CM at a current top 4 side.
@@andreweades3238 best CM at a current top 4 side lmao... never heard of Rodri?
@@brandonj162 Mentioned in the conversation. Not the best.
Nope… signing Kalvin Phillips has the biggest mistake of his career.
Because we have cornered ourselves into a situation where Rodri can’t get injured or booked ever. Phillips was signed to help this situation but he flopped.
Pep on for a consecutive treble but selling palmer a mistake???!
Take out his penalty goals n who is better him or foden?
He’s not better than foden but he’s still a very good player for his age.
If you swap foden for Palmer you'll see foden in this chelsea team wouldn't get nowhere near the numbers Palmer has.
@@WEASELWAZEL242when they both were at city foden out performed him so what you on about?
@archiecrossley5739 because Palmer didn't play hence he left to show what you're missing
@@WEASELWAZEL242put foden in Chelsea and put him on penalties, give him 8 penalty opportunity. He will score 20 plus goals
1:22 I can understand the debate and the reasoning behind it. Don't get me wrong I'm a Chelsea fan and massive Cole Palmer fan. But would I swap Cole Palmer for the Man city team and their trophies? probably yes
What about their charges ?
@@joshuacauser Nothing is gonna happen lol
Good players look a lot better on average teams. Julian Alvarez on Chelsea would make even more of an impact than palmer but he plays behind haaland so he doesn't put up those numbers. People thought city would regret sancho after he went to dortmund but nobody thinks about him anymore.
1:06 skip ad
It’s so much harder to stand out at City, look at Grealish, Phillips, Jesus, Mahrez. You become part of the machine. When they are at lesser clubs they stood out way more. Thats why it’s more impressive Foden is standing out like this
Brilliant players will always stand out
Good topic🔥🔥🔥🔥
To stand out in a bad team is more difficult than to stand out in a world class team. TG logic for you.
Remember when Dele Alli was THAT guy for a season. Also remember when Kane was THAT guy for a season. One of them continued to go up, the other slowly dwindled away. You cannot judge him off one season.
Live stream of Chelsea-Man Utd game on this channel would've been lit 🔥🔥
its Palmer who dhould regret his decision cz he aint winning sh** with chelsea.
chelsea is done for a minimum of 10-15 years
im lost... where is the full video from where this is clipped from? the last live video show on here is a moth old and this clip is clearly from a show in the past week... cannot see a new twitch account or any information to show where this is from!!!??
i think they’ve given up on livestream i was thinking the same thing
@@Jacob-vt2bz but again, i saw clips from a livestream. i googled it.. whres the goddamn livestream coming from cause its not from here, and yeah google kick off, guess what you get.. other football
Best example you can give is Grealish who looked like the second coming of Gazza 3 years ago at Villa (a mid table side like Chelsea are now) he stuck out like a sore thumb. Put him in that city team with the rigid structure and he really struggles to shine only a finite amount of players can do it. Put palmer in that city team now and he wouldn’t be shining the way he is for Chelsea. Plus the amount of penalties is propping up his stats. Look at foden or even a Watkins (not the same player I get it) don’t take penalties and still have better numbers. Think you need to relax a bit about him.
Selling a youth player is 100% profit and balances out FFP. It was a win win deal for both parties
13:43 people don't remember that Joey because it just didn't happen. Palmer didn't have to sit on the bench for 6 games and force his way into the side. He came on as a sub his first 3 games after moving from City, not exactly unheard of for a new signing late in the window. Since then he's started in 20/21 games he's been available for with 1 more sub appearance and when he has been subbed it's been before the 80th minute just 3 times in those 20 starts. So yeah bit unfair to paint it as Poch being reluctant to give him a go.
not alot of players can come from other clubs to come perform well at Chelsea. Even Foden could do bad at Chelsea. That’s what you gotta give credit to Palmer he has performed well in City and currently performing well in Chelsea
This is crazy, Craig once again with the only knowledge
That Arsenal fan is not someone I want to listen to every episode
He’s very good but most of his goals are penalties don’t think people are remembering that but no doubt he’s good
Palmer would be a backup player once again, pep is always going to start kdb foden Silva in the 10 ahead of him on the wing Silva grealish alavrez foden so realistically yeah maybe they would be slightly better off but palmer would still just be another bench player vs a star in London
SO much hindsight being used
Okay and? Doesn’t mean that it’s not a mistake by pep though
@@connorgrimshaw5457do you know what hindsight means little guy?
If Jackson on sterling was taking the chance cole give them he would be way above everyone.
We let De Bruyne and Salah go. These kinds of things happen, and there's no point in regret. Mainly because had they not left, De Bruyne, Salah, and currently Palmer would not get the gametime and experience they required to become the best versions of themselves.
12 penalties so that suddenly gives a better picture of the stat
8 you lier
The eye test Is clear as day with Cole Palmer. You only need one season when a guy looks that good to the eye test to know that he's a future Superstar man city made a huge mistake. He would have had around 10 goals probably and double that in assist feeding Haaland. Not to mention another person to feed KPB who gets no service.
I don't think Pep will miss him that much because he is the type of player who puts the team on his back and is the centrepiece. Pep prefers players that fit into systems and don't need to be every play to go through them
Chelsea makes a bad signing they blame the owners. Chelsea make a great signing they say “ does poch deserve credit “ if you’re gonna blame the owners for the bad signings. Give them credit for the Palmer signing.
He didn’t get anything wrong. Palmer was their fourth choice right winger…
Really miss the livestreams :( Even if they weren’t during the game I miss the 2.5 hour podcasts
Palmer is Amazing in a transitional game , Pep hates that - struggling enough to pound the genius out of grealish but his possession pretty ball wins tbf
Palmer has 8 goals tithing penalties. Bowen has 15 with none. Palmer wasn’t good enough for city when his competition is Bernardo and foden, wouldn’t say it’s s pep mistake it’s the fans mistake for letting numbers deceive u
Palmer playing well for a mid table team, and city challenging for a treble still. I’m sure Pep is gutted…
Craig tying himself in logical knots as Spurs fan trying not to give Palmer his due.
That spurs dude is smart
Nonesense. Chelsea play scattershot tactically, City do not. Also, he wasn't, and still isn't good enough to displace the likes of foden, bernardo, grealish, KDB, etc. He scored 2 penalties(not especially good ones either) and a "hit and hope" deflection last night...
Its not whether it was a mistake or not. But he sure must be looking at Palmer's performances and thinking, if he can get 20 goals and assists at a struggling Chelsea. How much more would he score at city?
More so because he is young and would have made City's future more secured.
Come on Joey he didn't force his way into the team. The reason why Pochettino couldn't play straight away is because he wasn't up to speed. Palmer he hadn't had any game time at City I should imagine his fitness was not the best.
Cole palmer has a treble btw
One thing you have to consider is how the opposition play against City vs Chelsea. Against Chelsea the team they play against will go for it, and try to win the game. Against City almost every team in the league will park the buss. It's so difficult to score against teams with 11 players behind the ball.
Toure wasn't a good fit at Barcelona. He was mostly used to shield the back 4 when the team needed a bit more steel. He even played center back at times. He was never going to be the type of 8 that Pep needed. Cole Palmer on the other hand looks like he'd be great anywhere across the frontline for City. He was built in their academy to play in a Pep system. Given his height and his finishing, for me he could have started on the right and then eventually became a great false 9 after Haaland left. Pep did that with Messi. Obviously Messi is leagues above Palmer but I still think he'd have been great in that role. And Pep was so all in at Barca on having a team built from the academy and we've seen guys like Rico Lewis and Oscar Bobb come through and obviously Foden. Palmer should be there with them.
Mans will stay defending City and Pep on everything. If you didn't know better you would think he is a City fan and not a Spurs fan.
Peps biggest player transfer mistakes so far are ETO to inter Milan where they won the treble beating peps barcelona, also Palmer looks like he could be a big mistake. Could have been de bruyne’s long term replacement
Some of the players Guardiola has sold at arguably the peak or near the peak of their careers : Toni Kross, Yaya Toure, Bastian Schweinsteiger, Ronaldinho, Eto'o, Ibrahimovic.
Does anyone else think they’re jumping the gun with this? It’s his first season doing these stats and yeah he is performing and has put Chelsea on his back but I just think it’s a bit too early to judge. If he’s replicated what he is doing now next season then yeah I think he probably is as good as everyone is saying.
Half of palmers goals are pens and would be a average season I’d he wasn’t taking them Bowen has the same amount of goals with no penalties.
It’s getting cold here 🥶
This fucking arsenal fan speaks with so much conviction for someone who knows fuck all about any other team.
The guy in yellow is wrong , I think if palmer was given a chance In a city squad he was gonna be a beast , doku on the , palmer on the right was gonna be scary and he was gonna be a stand out
Try not to mention ten hag: Brian edition (IMPOSSIBLE)
It won’t be a mistake to city due to their pull in the transfer market
The fact that Palmer is doing what he is doing in a Chelsea disfuctuonal Chelsea team make it MORE impressive.
Can only be a mistake if they actually miss him
Craig is spot on about how palmer would be at city this season
Man really said "he has more G/A than any city player" thats because he shoots penalties for a shitty Club that has a billion Pound squad but really on a 21 year old to take pens🚮. As an Arsenal fan he is the same thing as Saka, stop gassing man up
The guy in white just called Mikaylo Mudryk a headless chicken. Hey! guy keep this respectful you don't need to show your irresponsibility side here.
I’m pretty sure joining 115 was the biggest mistake
Add Toney and Chelsea rocket up the league next season
How many of Palmer’s goals are from the penalty spot?
How the fuck to we get Palmer, Bellingham, Foden & Rice in the same England starting 11?
Kane, Saka are guarentees so Foden on the Left out of his best position?
Palmer is very similar to Foden, Bernado, KDB.... Pep wanted a different option... Not another inverted winger.... Speed, trickery option... Thats why he got doku....
Yara Toure
Samuel Eto
Zlatan
Toni Kroos
Sergio Aguero (until he prooved him wrong)
Cole Palmer was certainly not his biggest mistake
Pep won without Etoo, Toure and Zlatan. What are you talking stupid things
Zlatan lol
Talk about Chelsea vs United
How would Palmer be playing tho? He would not have the chance to show what he can do.
Pep said Palmer didn’t want to stay.
Palmer has a Prem League title, FA Cup medal, Champions Leage medal and a Super Cup medal… he’s pretty much done it all already too 😂
Yeah, I'm sure Pep is losing sleep over the impact he's having at title contenders Chelsea 😭
Listening to these guys you would think that Man city had trashed Chelsea everytime they played this season. NOT!
Cap Enrique and naglesman had interviews at chels
But when it come to other club that spent a lot money for one player its different argument…..
