This is absolutly the best Top Gear clip in many years! Wonderful!
It might be the only good clip from the new series
@@ScorpioIsland Yes.....
because it's not top gear it's just chris harris, he was doing this long before he came to top gear
Wow, seeing the Alfa and Ferrari side by side really shows how much better looking the Alfa is. What soul satisfying car
Chris Harris proved his point very convincingly. I would love to drive this Alfa if I could afford to. Thank you.
Yes, they are insanely expensive, but, OMG, what a glorious piece of Late Petrol Era Automotive Art it is! ❤🎉🎉🎉❤
The Alfaholics gta-r is the absolut dream car for me. The Ferrari looks like a big Mx-5 for me 😂
A superb example of the restomod genre. The Alfaholics GTA-R 290 is one heck of a weapon. And if you need a family car Alfaholics can help you there also with their version of the classic Giulia sedan, it too is an absolute hoot.. They also can sell you the bits required to make your own version.
Absolutely the best automobile video I’ve seen in quite sometime! You guys had me smiling the entire time! Thank you gentlemen! 😊
GREAT CAR..!!! My youth... Great old days....Thank you for the video. Cheers.
The second time he drove this car on camera and had the time of his life. The bliss he experiences is felt through the screen❤
The Alpha on looks. Absolutely!!
Power and performance!
Awesome!!
Perfection
Big project !!
Brilliant - you will be missed.
Adding the weight of a big bloke to a lightweight car makes a big difference to the power-to-weight ratio.
This is the way.
Strangely, older cars like this are exempt from the proposed ULEZ regulations.
You can drive one of these through central London without paying any fee.
I expect loads of Londoners will be buying themselves old Alfas, Austins and Hillmans for their daily commute.
Indeed ULEZ free but if you intended to use it in central London you still have to pay the congestion charge.
@@ameliopompeo5722 THANKS! I did not know that.
I have a 1972 Datsu 510 with an SR-20 6-SPEED that would enjoy an opportunity to test your little Alpha..
Love jt!
I wouldn't have been allowed to finish the show in my underpants... because my happiness would've been too obvious... just say'n 👋😁👍
🤣
Sounds kind of like a Honda VFR 😎
Interesting. Yes, I had one of those years ago. Ducati and RC51 now.
Is there a part two done in underpants?
❤❤❤❤❤
It's so sad to see that proper manual ICE automobiles will soon be a piece of history. Future looks very gay.
Exactly!
Do you mean gay as happy and bright lol 😆..
👍
If I buy one, can I get it with the original chrome bumpers please? Also, I live in South Africa. Can I have it marked in Km/h?
They weren’t chrome, but in fact stainless steel.
@@1240enzo Early ones were chromed.
@@alessandromeyer4888Cheers, yes you’re quite correct. I forgot about this 😁👍
Restomod, OK.
But we are still talking about a chassis from 1965 (59 years ago)!!!
❤
Glad they didn't make it electric 😀
The company is called Alfaholics... they have NO interest in turning any 501 series Alfa into an EV.
@@Nemoticon that's good to hear👍
We Will surely miss these wonderful engine and exhaust sounds.I Curse you EVs with your total recall noise
Imagine how good it would be with Jeremy and James
Looks like something Hamster would drive - that is, if they could trust him to do so without crashing.
Stop comparing you doughnut
Paddy's wrong pretty sure 90 percent would take the alpha all day
ALFA
@tsb3093 your quite correct not sure what I was thinking the day I wrote this
you're not seriously telling me a blondie with such accent is to be listened to
Interesting BUT if a Honda K24 and it's associated G box were fitted It would have 240 Hp at 9000rpm BOX stock with Honda reliability /durability.
Without adding a turbo to raise it well past 400hp.
Plus a world benchmark Gearshift action precision quality that makes the standard alfa trans Poor shift quality / feel like an early Tractor .
IF doing a Restomod? At least do it armed with intelligence.
It's a shame to swap the engine on a classic Alfa😢
You can also have a k24 with 400hp (overkill I would say for such a small and light car), but it's not all about the numbers, these cars have a soul and you are ruining it...
For the transmission, it is a pretty good unit, very precise and fast, like a modern ones, and I think it's also tweaked by Alfaholics
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹
She's a screamer
Whilst I would not wish an horrendous accident on anyone, and I hope the person who was injured is recovering fully, Top Gear signed their death warrant when they lost Clarkson, Hammond and May. The two Northern muppets were not knowledgeable, not charismatic and not funny (nor comprehensible withoot soobtahtlz). The talent, and the chemistry, in my view, rested with Mr Harris, Mr Reid, and the dude from friends. However they didn't have the banter the original trio had. TG was the most watched show on Earth, and for the mischief as much for the motoring, and with a strong female audience. The baton passed to the Anglo/Canadians at Throttle House and Cammisa at Hagerty, for high-jinx and cinematography. Urge Rory and Chris to team up, with better crew.
Jo jo thugesh ko pasand karta hai wo like kro
Yea nah... not 325k...
Amazing to find one that isn't a rust bucket.
And no other car rusts lol 😆.
@@johnchurch4705 didn't say that .but anyone who owned a alpha from way back knows they were notorious for rust. My father had a late 70s alfetta and it was so corroded around the hand brake area the handbrake nearly came off in his hand. He had to then do some welding on it. They make them better now of course.
@@melgrant7404 I will let you off then 👍🏻👍🏻
This ain't 'Top Gear'
