That’s why he made sure they were benchwarmers and why he went to go retrieve Vexen himself. Or at least that’s my theory on it.

Just to clarify, that's NOT Terra-Xehanort from the past in there. It simply Terra's empty body with a fragment of Master Xehanort's heart in it. Its why he's so confused to see Lingering Will. He has no clue what it is, as if he came from before his fight with Aqua the memory would be fresh.

He’s definitely still gonna play a part in kingdom hearts 4 in my opinion, maybe actually helping sora in a weird way! he always has a backup plan for everything. Lol
This scene is fascinating what you're really seeing is not just an explanation on why every member was chosen but 3 plans from 3 characters with WILDLY different motivations panning out when Xigbar (Luxu) says will 'benefit' them, in the long run, he is not referring to the Organization at all he's referring to himself and the Foretellers. Saix is sowing in the seeds for Demyx and Vexen's betrayal perfectly he is quite literally already sowing everything needed to take down Xehanort in this scene alone.
And, according to Nomura, Xehanort was supposed to have complete control over the members of his organization by this point, yet this is when their individuality was at their strongest.

All they'd be missing at that point was some way to physically exist in reality. Enter the replicas, which had been perfected to the point that they could truly duplicate a real person's existence. After pulling back his past selves, Xehanort then anchored them to his own time with these replicas (except the version of him that first possessed Terra, which he simply placed back in Terra's body).

I remember the game director explaining that the way in which they were turned back into nobodies was unusual, their hearts didn't become heartless this time. Nice theory, but from the various statements we’ve gotten in and out of KH, it’s more Young Xehanort’s work here than Master Xehanort. Young Xehanort collected the hearts of the “new” members of the Organization and brought them to the present with him, where Replicas (or in Terranort’s case, Terra’s lifeless body) were waiting for all of them.

Today is the one year anniversary of this DLC. Even now I'm still amazed how the old man cheat the laws of nature by ensuring he can come back AND STILL have procession of Terra's body. To think all the chosen vessels we beated in the past were the key members to ensure this old fart was restored in both heart AND body.

There is something I don't understand at this point... So this happens right after KH3D and at the beginning of KH3, right? During this meeting, the Organization decides they're going to use Xion, or rather No. i, as they remember her, as their 13th vessel. However, later on, in Twilight Town, when Sora, Donald and Goofy meet Xemnas and Ansem, they give Sora clues as to how to bring Roxas back, implying they want to make him a vessel too. What's more, Ansem later states that they would destroy Sora should he waver off the path they lay for him, and Xigbar says that they would have to find themselves another vessel in that case. So, why would they want to recruit Roxas if they had already decided that Xion would be the 13th vessel?
The ultimate plan wanted Master Xehanort was the clash between the 7 lights and 13 darknesses. The path Ansem and Xemnas had laid out for Sora was for him to recruit or save the other lights. Maybe Roxas was supposed to be a "Light" for the organization to clash with
The organization wanted Roxas because Roxas was skilled keyblade Weilder. Yes they have Xion but they would have preferred Roxas, whose highly more skilled than Xion. Roxas was just a back up plan and plus had roxas stayed on the light side, they could have used him in the clash. Hope that helps ^^

I dont think he remebered the events of dream drop distance, he said something in kh3 that this feels familiar but my guess is ansem set him back on the path again

Saix mentions how Ansem, Xemnas, Young Xehanort, Riku Replica, and Vanitas are each looking for a Guardian of Light. Vanitas has to be looking for Ventus, and I’m assuming either Ansem or Riku Replica are looking for Riku, but he’s not even missing like Aqua and Ventus are. And what about the rest?
Ansem was looking for Aqua. It makes sense as he was originally a heartless and thus well versed in traveling across the Dark World. It's also supported by the fact he was the one who norted her.

In either case, I'm guessing this is how it is: Vanitas = Ventus (trying to be whole again) Ansem = Aqua (for the reason you mentioned) Riku Replica = Riku (wanting to be better than the original) And then Xemnas and Young Xehanort would take either Sora or Mickey each, maybe Young Xehanort = Sora and Xemnas = Mickey. I don't include Kairi or Lea because I'm not sure if the Seekers even knew Kairi was going to be a Guardian, and they might not have even known Lea could wield a Keyblade at this point.

When Ansem and Xemnas were destroyed, the pieces that made up their existences returned where they belong. Master Xehanort's heart returned to his original body while Terra's returned to his. They were fully separated at that point. But because Xehanort's guardian still existed, that prevented Terra from taking control over his body. Young Xehanort took an earlier version of Master Xehanort's heart, the one that had just taken possession over Terra's body during the KH BBS time period, and placed it again in Terra's body as it existed during the KH III time period.

He is also friends with Roxas, the Nobody of Sora, a another person with Child of Destiny properties. It is possible by making Axel a part of their Hearts and Memories, the Chosen property rubbed off on him.
Being a Nobody brings you close to Darkness. Or Darkness in Zero . This given you Darkness powers, and brings you closer to the Realm of Dark Emotion, and Spirits (un alived people).

The organization wanted Roxas because Roxas was skilled keyblade Weilder. Yes they have Xion but they would have preferred Roxas, whose highly more skilled than Xion. Roxas was just a back up plan and plus had roxas stayed on the light side, they could have used him in the clash. Hope that helps ^^

In the end of KHDDD, certain org members went back to their original times. So how did they time traveled a second time? If Young Xehanort went back to his original time and forget things, how would he remember to time travel again and remember DDD?
I dont think he remebered the events of dream drop distance, he said something in kh3 that this feels familiar but my guess is ansem set him back on the path again

Saix mentions how Ansem, Xemnas, Young Xehanort, Riku Replica, and Vanitas are each looking for a Guardian of Light.
Vanitas has to be looking for Ventus, and I’m assuming either Ansem or Riku Replica are looking for Riku, but he’s not even missing like Aqua and Ventus are. And what about the rest?
Ansem was looking for Aqua. It makes sense as he was originally a heartless and thus well versed in traveling across the Dark World. It's also supported by the fact he was the one who norted her.

In either case, I'm guessing this is how it is:
Vanitas = Ventus (trying to be whole again)
Ansem = Aqua (for the reason you mentioned)
Riku Replica = Riku (wanting to be better than the original)
And then Xemnas and Young Xehanort would take either Sora or Mickey each, maybe Young Xehanort = Sora and Xemnas = Mickey. I don't include Kairi or Lea because I'm not sure if the Seekers even knew Kairi was going to be a Guardian, and they might not have even known Lea could wield a Keyblade at this point.

He’s only part of the organization because xehanort has his heart in his body. Basically he controls terra like a brainwash.
Its a heart fragment in Terra. His heart is stuck in the puppet
When Ansem and Xemnas were destroyed, the pieces that made up their existences returned where they belong. Master Xehanort's heart returned to his original body while Terra's returned to his. They were fully separated at that point. But because Xehanort's guardian still existed, that prevented Terra from taking control over his body. Young Xehanort took an earlier version of Master Xehanort's heart, the one that had just taken possession over Terra's body during the KH BBS time period, and placed it again in Terra's body as it existed during the KH III time period.

The game director also mentioned that an unusual method was used to turn them back into Nobodies. They never clarified how that was the case. I can imagine time plays a role in this and perhaps they were simply regressed to how they were.

@@TheNamelessOne888 It might be because Axel became friends with a Chosen (Ventus), a person who has Child of Destiny properties. He is also friends with Roxas, the Nobody of Sora, a another person with Child of Destiny properties. It is possible by making Axel a part of their Hearts and Memories, the Chosen property rubbed off on him.
Being a Nobody brings you close to Darkness. Or Darkness in Zero . This given you Darkness powers, and brings you closer to the Realm of Dark Emotion, and Spirits (un alived people).
