Not liking to fight does not make someone useless or a coward. If you ask me if think he is one who have the strongest morals. Majority of the characters just go along with everything not really asking much questions. Demyx however does. If you ask me in a way he is pretty smart, so it's only fitting he ends up helping even and ienzo.

This is beautiful. Vexen, arguably one of the biggest douches in the Organization, says he wants to atone. And HE’s the one desperate for DEMYX to listen to him. Instead of being an arrogant old stick in the mud like we’d expect him to, Vexen speaks to Demyx in words he’d understand and though he’s still kind of uptight, he’s nowhere near as pompous as he was in, say, Chain of Memories. It’s honestly kind of great to see this despicable villain reformed in this way.
I really didn't like him back on Chains of Memories (and I admit, the boss battle helped me hate him a bit more, just like it happened with Larxene... man, screw those fights). And when he saved the Twilight Town trio and offered to help Ansem, I was suspecting that this was just an excuse for a new experiment. But, in the end, I was glad I was wrong. Vexen still may behave like a douch, but I'm thankful he is on the good side, now.
IshidaSado He was one of my favourites too, mostly because he was so easy to ridicule (and because his English voice is fucking perfection). So I was especially glad to see this development in the KH III story.

I love how Demyx is someone who admits he’s an underachiever. He’s capable of extraordinary feats (he stole from the Gods and got away clean with the aid of only 4 dusks) when he wants to. When he shouted “Silence, Traitor!” At Sora In KH2, he was straight-backed, duty-bound, emotionless, and truly going all out. He’s a character to watch. Also, I want to see him sacrificing his nobody fighting awesomely to save Sora. When he fades away and resumes his humanity, he should play music with actual joy on destiny islands. He should be the Wedding band for Sora and Kairi as well as Riku and Naminé.
Even though Dilan and Aeleus don't get any dialogue, at least they are still humanised in the game, showing signs of regret and guilt at betraying Ansem.
let's all appreciate how EXPRESSIVE the characters are. like, the gesture, the facial expressions, even the dialogue! the movements are fluid, the interactions too, are engaging. damn, I mean, it's obvious they would improve considering it took them a decade and a half, but seeing the GROWTH compared to KH2's awkward body language and facial expressions got me all teary-eyed.
Yes! I notice not all scenes are this good, but it's an insaaaane step up. I almost teared up watching this, because it's so cool to finally see characters acting and moving like real people! And not just standing there stationary as they deliver dialogue LOL
@cymfonii I think in the past it was far better than now. Because these animations don't match the (I'm not sure what to call it but I guess the cell shading ? or rendering ?) at all. That's how I see it at least. But If one enjoys it then it's fine.
I have new appreciation for Vexen after watching this. I honestly believed he rejoined to continue experimenting but he actually wanted to make amends. That is honorable
BlueMageDanny I found it really weird too, but what I found even weirder it's that I think Nomura forgot Radiant Garden was destroyed before, because it looks exactly like it looked in bbs, from kh2 to here it wasn't that long and how the construction was going I doubt it would've look as perfect as before.

Yeah. It's really hard to consider Ienzo an antagonist rather than a victim considering he lost his heart as a child and worked to fix his mistakes immediately.
Everyone got messed up, but I feel worse for Ienzo out of all of them (and Lea and Isa). He literally lost out on his entire childhood, and he won't get it back. And he was already an orphan before that... But at least his adopted family is all back together, and he's got new friends.

I remember a show from the golden age of UA-cam on here called, “Demyx Time”. Please give it a watch. It’s a bit dated, but if you love Kingdom Hearts, it will grow on you. After hearing Demyx shout “Demyx Time!” I wondered if Nomura has seen her show . . .
This is the scene I didn't know I needed. When Demyx is like "for what?" he's so sad at the thought he might have done something wrong. And then typical Vexen just losing his patience "Fine, fine." was priceless. Best acted scene in the game.
I love that there are a few trolls in Square's localization teams (For instance Koji Fox, who is head of localization for FFXIV, is a huge troll and loves referencing memes and jokes). I almost fell out of my chair giggling and laughing hysterically when I heard "Demyx Time!" I absolutely adored that show here on youtube!
I got a theory that will blow people’s minds. In the same cutscene that Xemnas tells Larxene, Luxord, Marluxia, and Demyx that they all have past ties to the Keyblade, Demyx before hand was talking about being all around useless, forgot about and even used the term “Benched” which is where things get interesting, Demyx was always Goofy, kind of obnoxious and has little to no backstory. Remember someone else who had that same goofy, non serious tone and little to no back story! The Master Of Masters!!! Kingdom hearts whole plot was basically scripted around the Eraqus, Xehanort Chess game, Demyx was loosely throwing around the word “Benched” which is usually a term for someone kept out of a game, what if MoM’s created a nobody to look like the most unused, weak member of the Org to just silently watch to make sure fate would re write itself? Sure would be a twist no one would see coming and that’s just the little bit of stuff I have to back that theory
MoM had charisma though, or maybe the fortellers were just easily led idiots but I'm just not sure it makes sense for Demyx to be that character. Xigbar/Braig has always seemed like a character with his own agenda and his stated motivations (wanting a keyblade) seemed stupid so it was a welcome reveal that he had something else going for him.
I'm completely with you. Now we know who Xiggy truly is (just in case people haven't finished the game, not gonna spoil) I'm convinced Demyx is the Master of Masters. My friends call me crazy but I'm sure of it!
1:15 -- After watching this seen a number of times, I get that feeling like Demyx knows exactly what Vexen is talking about, but seemingly has to keep up an act, similar to Xigbar. Like, this instance Vexen isn't looking directly at him, so Demyx can drop the act for one mere second, due to his facial expression, only to be forced to keep the personality we've known him as. Much like a number of other fans, I have that feeling that Demyx may be the Master of Masters, if not at least someone else entirely.
I always loved Demyx and Vexen as characters. They, along with Larxene and Xigbar (and Axel) seemed to have the most prominent personalities in the org. They had strong screen presence, rich personalities. regardless if you liked them or not, they where their own thing clearly. I will be glad to see more of these people, and please please please, more Demyx/Vexen interaction and more Larxene/Demyx interaction. Those where 2 of the funniest interactions in the whole game. (And Donald, who was hilarious this game)
I was a bit bummed at first, but I mean, 1) they're not relevant to the world's story arc, 2) they aren't the only people, they don't have to be the only choices each time you visit, and 3) their stories were completed in KH2. They already served the purpose they were given. For a game that took as long as this one to develop, why would you *encourage* having it bogged down by unncessary side-plots for characters that already have their OWN game series anyways?

@@cunningsmile4166 i dont think he is Master of masters but i think he is somehow related could be his current vessel. Same as Xigbar and Luxu. There is another interesting theory going in the youtube, about the foretalers being the seven deadly sins. their names is somehow related to it well in lathin. So based on that theory M.O.M name should be Superbia or something close to it for Pride. So there is more to it in this story. But their jumpy attitude is kind of allike.
The scene with Demyx and Vexen looks like it was animated in Source Film Maker. That isn't meant to be a bad thing, it actually fits pretty well with how the two were acting.
I so loved these scenes in this game because I loved the interactions with other organization XIII members. And I loved that Ienzo almost cried when he saw Ansem the wise.
Spoilers The only character with personality like the MoM is Demyx which if I'm not mistaken was said to be capable of wielding a keyblade. And the fact that he was "benched" from the final battle and we don't see him at the end of the game he could be anywhere. Nobody suspects him because he was weak and lazy. Perfect way to hide in plain site. If Luxu could do all this Surely MoM can too. best example was when he delivered Roxas' replica body and the nonchalant attitute he had it must be Demyx The guy we see in the black organization cloak in the secret movie who put the heart hands to the moon must be it.

As much as I enjoyed all the scenes with the new organization, I feel disappointed we didnt get a single scene of them all talking together on their high chairs, that was my favorite dynamic in 2

I really enjoy how many former organization members are getting more character growth and development this game, it makes me excited to see more from them in the future. I do kinda wish that you actually got to fight Demyx this game, but mostly because I think it would’ve been funny for Nomura to troll the players with the return of “Dance Water Dance”
I like how Xemnas says in DDD that Xehanort is making everyone into a Nort this time around because the previous incarnation of the Organization was filled with people who weren't loyal enough to be vesels. And then pretty much everyone in the New Organization was plotting to turncoat or actually a turncoat aside from Xemnas, Young Xehanort, Terranort, Luxord, Riku Replica, and Vanitas.
It's so good to see and hear Demyx again! And I love his banter with Vexen (only irony is you'd think Water and Ice would get along a tad better but yeah it's amusing!) And I like Aeleus and Dilan's genuine expressions as well. My only nitpick is that the voices here, especially Demyx and Ienzo's, sound a bit "clunky" to me.
If you think about it, we have more readings. Water and Ice are basically the same element. But water is "free" while ice "traps" water in a rigid form. Much like Vexen is and does to Demyx, enlisting Demyx's help in his quest. Yet Vexen itself is way more similar with Demyx than he likes to admit, since their reactions are very similar (he got "heated up" too in at least two moments in trying to reason with Demyx, "thawing" is cold demeanor in a sense).
Kingdom Hearts' voice acting _is_ rather lackluster and amateur compared to some other video games, but it's not horrible horrible. I like it myself, it has its own charm.
"So you two weren't the only benched ones. Count us in." All Final Fantasy characters (save for Squall, Aerith, Cid and Yuffie) who appeared in previous Kingdom Hearts games.

Demyx and Vexen's conversation was like a sitcom. So funny seeing two completely different personalities clashing with each other.

let's all appreciate how EXPRESSIVE the characters are. like, the gesture, the facial expressions, even the dialogue! the movements are fluid, the interactions too, are engaging. damn, I mean, it's obvious they would improve considering it took them a decade and a half, but seeing the GROWTH compared to KH2's awkward body language and facial expressions got me all teary-eyed.

Yes! I notice not all scenes are this good, but it's an insaaaane step up. I almost teared up watching this, because it's so cool to finally see characters acting and moving like real people! And not just standing there stationary as they deliver dialogue LOL
@cymfonii I think in the past it was far better than now. Because these animations don't match the (I'm not sure what to call it but I guess the cell shading ? or rendering ?) at all. That's how I see it at least. But If one enjoys it then it's fine.

Well, Phil's japanese voice actor died so they didn't have him speak out of respect, but I don't know about Aeleus and Dilan.
BlueMageDanny I found it really weird too, but what I found even weirder it's that I think Nomura forgot Radiant Garden was destroyed before, because it looks exactly like it looked in bbs, from kh2 to here it wasn't that long and how the construction was going I doubt it would've look as perfect as before.
@Gameboy224 In kh2 the place wasn't even near half way done and it hasn't been more than a year between kh2 and 3, and it doesn't matter how many people they had, I find it ridiculous that they made a 1 to 1 reconstruction of the place.
The current radiant garden has a smaller castle actually, the main tower is missing because of the the reconstruction

Yeah. It's really hard to consider Ienzo an antagonist rather than a victim considering he lost his heart as a child and worked to fix his mistakes immediately.
Everyone got messed up, but I feel worse for Ienzo out of all of them (and Lea and Isa). He literally lost out on his entire childhood, and he won't get it back. And he was already an orphan before that... But at least his adopted family is all back together, and he's got new friends.

Oh my god! When Jack and Kelly hear the line “Demyx Time!”, I am sure jaws will hit the carpet.
I love that there are a few trolls in Square's localization teams (For instance Koji Fox, who is head of localization for FFXIV, is a huge troll and loves referencing memes and jokes). I almost fell out of my chair giggling and laughing hysterically when I heard "Demyx Time!" I absolutely adored that show here on youtube!
Funny how in this Interval Demyx had more screen time than in the entire KH2.
And he still gets little screen time here.

I got a theory that will blow people’s minds.
In the same cutscene that Xemnas tells Larxene, Luxord, Marluxia, and Demyx that they all have past ties to the Keyblade, Demyx before hand was talking about being all around useless, forgot about and even used the term “Benched” which is where things get interesting, Demyx was always Goofy, kind of obnoxious and has little to no backstory.
Remember someone else who had that same goofy, non serious tone and little to no back story!

Kingdom hearts whole plot was basically scripted around the Eraqus, Xehanort Chess game, Demyx was loosely throwing around the word “Benched” which is usually a term for someone kept out of a game, what if MoM’s created a nobody to look like the most unused, weak member of the Org to just silently watch to make sure fate would re write itself? Sure would be a twist no one would see coming and that’s just the little bit of stuff I have to back that theory
MoM had charisma though, or maybe the fortellers were just easily led idiots but I'm just not sure it makes sense for Demyx to be that character. Xigbar/Braig has always seemed like a character with his own agenda and his stated motivations (wanting a keyblade) seemed stupid so it was a welcome reveal that he had something else going for him.

1:15 -- After watching this seen a number of times, I get that feeling like Demyx knows exactly what Vexen is talking about, but seemingly has to keep up an act, similar to Xigbar. Like, this instance Vexen isn't looking directly at him, so Demyx can drop the act for one mere second, due to his facial expression, only to be forced to keep the personality we've known him as. Much like a number of other fans, I have that feeling that Demyx may be the Master of Masters, if not at least someone else entirely.

I always loved Demyx and Vexen as characters. They, along with Larxene and Xigbar (and Axel) seemed to have the most prominent personalities in the org. They had strong screen presence, rich personalities. regardless if you liked them or not, they where their own thing clearly. I will be glad to see more of these people, and please please please, more Demyx/Vexen interaction and more Larxene/Demyx interaction. Those where 2 of the funniest interactions in the whole game. (And Donald, who was hilarious this game)

I was a bit bummed at first, but I mean, 1) they're not relevant to the world's story arc, 2) they aren't the only people, they don't have to be the only choices each time you visit, and 3) their stories were completed in KH2. They already served the purpose they were given. For a game that took as long as this one to develop, why would you *encourage* having it bogged down by unncessary side-plots for characters that already have their OWN game series anyways?
So that's how Roxas get his vessel!

There is another interesting theory going in the youtube, about the foretalers being the seven deadly sins. their names is somehow related to it well in lathin. So based on that theory M.O.M name should be Superbia or something close to it for Pride. So there is more to it in this story.
But their jumpy attitude is kind of allike.
The scene with Demyx and Vexen looks like it was animated in Source Film Maker. That isn't meant to be a bad thing, it actually fits pretty well with how the two were acting.
I so loved these scenes in this game because I loved the interactions with other organization XIII members. And I loved that Ienzo almost cried when he saw Ansem the wise.

The only character with personality like the MoM is Demyx which if I'm not mistaken was said to be capable of wielding a keyblade. And the fact that he was "benched" from the final battle and we don't see him at the end of the game he could be anywhere. Nobody suspects him because he was weak and lazy. Perfect way to hide in plain site. If Luxu could do all this Surely MoM can too. best example was when he delivered Roxas' replica body and the nonchalant attitute he had it must be Demyx The guy we see in the black organization cloak in the secret movie who put the heart hands to the moon must be it.

Yeah, because the characters actually have real interactions instead of standing 10 feet apart talking to each other. I felt the same way.
As much as I enjoyed all the scenes with the new organization, I feel disappointed we didnt get a single scene of them all talking together on their high chairs, that was my favorite dynamic in 2
They replaced the high chairs with the rock pillars in the Keyblade Graveyard. That's Xehanort's way of creating Where Nothing Gathers

Demyx is soo like the scout of TF2, minus the scattergun and the Bonk, they both are good runners though.
I really enjoy how many former organization members are getting more character growth and development this game, it makes me excited to see more from them in the future. I do kinda wish that you actually got to fight Demyx this game, but mostly because I think it would’ve been funny for Nomura to troll the players with the return of “Dance Water Dance”
Demyx is such a good candidate for the Master of Masters
I like how Xemnas says in DDD that Xehanort is making everyone into a Nort this time around because the previous incarnation of the Organization was filled with people who weren't loyal enough to be vesels. And then pretty much everyone in the New Organization was plotting to turncoat or actually a turncoat aside from Xemnas, Young Xehanort, Terranort, Luxord, Riku Replica, and Vanitas.
It's so good to see and hear Demyx again! And I love his banter with Vexen (only irony is you'd think Water and Ice would get along a tad better but yeah it's amusing!)
And I like Aeleus and Dilan's genuine expressions as well.
My only nitpick is that the voices here, especially Demyx and Ienzo's, sound a bit "clunky" to me.
If you think about it, we have more readings.
Water and Ice are basically the same element. But water is "free" while ice "traps" water in a rigid form. Much like Vexen is and does to Demyx, enlisting Demyx's help in his quest. Yet Vexen itself is way more similar with Demyx than he likes to admit, since their reactions are very similar (he got "heated up" too in at least two moments in trying to reason with Demyx, "thawing" is cold demeanor in a sense).
Kingdom Hearts' voice acting _is_ rather lackluster and amateur compared to some other video games, but it's not horrible horrible. I like it myself, it has its own charm.
"So you two weren't the only benched ones. Count us in." All Final Fantasy characters (save for Squall, Aerith, Cid and Yuffie) who appeared in previous Kingdom Hearts games.
