I noticed that too. I was wondering, as they're robots, if they really need to have movements in their arms for jumping? But if they used human movements as the model of their movements, that's why they in fact, move their arms.

I guess way in the future anything's possible. But I doubt it. The power requirements of multiple bots is unrealistic. Their larger quadruped and bipeds are as rugged as they can get with hydraulic actuation which depending on temp could be problematic. And rate of failure will always be magnitudes higher than a wheeled rover because of complexity. It would be neat though!
Edit: spot would be the best candidate. But again the power requirements would be tough. And their already testing small copters which could go where the rover cannot

It would be useful in any situation where a normal human might be unable to go or at great risk in going. Rescue operations where there is a possibility of a structure collapsing. Would much rather lose a robot to a collapse than human life. Nuclear plants, places of extreme heat or cold. You could also see it being useful as basic caregivers. I have seen nursing homes where there are not enough nursing staff to meet the needs of those in their care, so people go without being changed living in their own excrement until a nurse can finally get to them. I am not suggesting these robots are at the point where they could do that, but you can see why research and advancing technology can certainly help improve people's daily lives and keep people out of dangerous situations. People mention police and military, It is likely to happen, but while we may not want them to be armed and thinking on their own (especially armed) they could still be used for patrols.
      -
As for finding video. You do realize that these are not under development for commercial or private use. These are research robots being designed and tested at a university. They are not ready for practical applications yet. So you are not going to find real video of what they might be able to do. You might find promotional videos with virtual renditions of possibilities. But they first had to teach these robots to walk, then run and jump. To see them complete a course like this while not being connected to an overhead harness is impressive.
      -
For those talking about people losing jobs. Well, there are already shortages of staff in many professions where a robot such as this could come in handy. Plus robot automation of jobs is less of an argument about whether we should advance robots to the point where they can do it and more of an argument for a basic universal income along with free education to train in new fields.

It's neat, but why is the stated goal to "imitate human movement?" Why wouldn't you design a robot whose movement is best suited to the job it's programmed to perform? I mean, why limit yourself to human movement, which is nothing all that marvelous, even compared to other animals?
