Soon that s not gonna be the only entry level (at least from an engine perspective imo) since even the C63 will get a similar engine, just added with an electric engine 😔

Not sure any modern 4cyl sounds good TBH. (Think some of the old Scoobys do sound good though). I don't mind the odd pop and crackle but I really hate the gear change fart.

I have one as Daily, love it. It has now 115k km and takes about 8L / 100km on my way to work. If you want to have fun it takes more than 10L :)
My 1.2 liter car takes 8/100km how does a amg 45 take 8......
@@improbro1124 It is only 2L engine. I drive max 100kmh to work and contstant for 30km so thats how it is possible😊
@@improbro1124 It all depends on your driving style and which routes you take. I get 11.7L/100km in my bmw 120i, my sister gets 7.6L/100km in her 118i
@@improbro1124 is only a 2000cc i4, not a 4.2 v8. But when u floor this car a few time u can definitely see the fuel gauge drop alot after awhile

This car i have now the 1.2 if i granny drive 6-7 if i just floor all the time 9-10

it only sounds good because this is the old model without opf
i have a gti performance with opf, with the downpipe it sounds too much.. if i cut the opf and leave the rest of the exhaust oem do you think it will improve? Thanks

Any chance, for 2021 version of this otherwise very capable engine to sound any good, is the new Lotus Emira use ;-) This one OK but you can feel the artificial part.
Quite easy if you remove the opf, that this one doesn’t have or change the exhaust.

The new A45S is better in every single way apart from the sound,and that can easily be fixed with a decat / exhaust.
Can you make the old A45 as good as the new one for the price of a decat pipe? i don't think so.

@@spookyreaper1702 The gearbox is shit on the old A45 and the engine is nowhere near as advanced.Go read up about the new A45S's engine and you will see why!
The new A45S can make close to 500bhp with just a remap,so not sure how the old one can be better.Please explain?

Funny car very good sound for 4cyl but in my opinion 4cyl sounds still shitty, no comparison to the a bmw inline 6 or an Audy 5cyl! Imagine what you pay for such a 4end?!
Why are people so surprised that this one sounded louder than the new one? Are still that many underestimating the effect of the OPF? Just remove it on the new generation and you will be amazed by the difference.
