I’m always an original member elitist when it comes to bands, but V-man, Jay, and (most likely) Michael Pfaff are such welcome additions and they maintain the original energy and overall vibe of the band.
Rip Paul and Joey
He definitely deserves to be in slipknot. Like all of the members
Old and new.
No one will ever be as good and talented as Paul and Joey. Joey had some of the most technical drum work to this day, he has inspired so people to get into music and make music. Jay is a good drummer but doesnt even come close to the talent Joey had
@@brandonolson7979 honestly dude they are both good drummers. And bassist. But they all deserve to be in a bad.
@@dapaintbrush6965 Do they deserve to be in the band ya sure, but saying Jay is anywhere close to the same talent as Joey is absurd
@@brandonolson7979 i like Jay more that's my opinion. Just as you like joey way more.
@@brandonolson7979 thing is that Jay nails everything joey has ever put down. He is always spot on and plays the songs the way they should be played. I love joey don’t get me wrong but saying Jay is bad is wrong.
I have never heard this much for Vman. It's nice to hear how he killed it and got in Slipknot. What a complete Badass!
Not only is his bass playing perfect for Slipknot, and worthy for Slipknot, his glorious beard is also worthy of the Knot.
🤦🏻♂️
@@thestu059 pfp says it all
Paul would absolutely approve of this man being in Slipknot 🤘
Vman Is such a great addition to the band! He really got into the dynamic pretty well and is super cool to see him on stage live, marching all over the place like he owns it
He definitely is. I love how he and Jay both clearly respect their predecessors and understand their rolls and the importance of each of their respective rolls. They both know they are in a house built by 2 other people but give everything they have got to preserve it best they can while adding their own flare here and there when appropriate
@@Endlessnameless803 exactly, i couldn't explain it better!
I like how he seems so chill, but you can tell he is a detail driven perfectionist.
I had no idea that VMan was so freaking classy. You can tell he is just a genuine, humble, good dude. His personality reminds me of Joey's (R.I.P. Great One)....and R.I.P. Paul! VMan is one of my favorite members of The Knot. I think he may actually be my new fave (and I am a drum guy).
this was awesome, got to see a side of vman i havent before. popped up on my feed and im glad it did. RIP PAUL. RIP JOEY.
also i hit that 1k woop
I love that vman knows tone and gear (tech experience) and has musicianship(playing in bands). it's a no brainier as band and is only a plus!
Yes yes V-Man. Awesome interview, to think the CFS gig would end up here. So well deserved
I did not know Vman was British!
yep hes mexican/british
@@detectiveshortmen2212 orale
@@detectiveshortmen2212 I think he's spanish/english
British born, half italian
He's name is clearly Italian ..He was born in England..But his origin is Italy
very down to earth and respectable, he deserves to be part of the knot
He's such a gentleman.
this interview is fantastic. daniel does a really good job.
We love V man, great replacement for brother paul ❤️
That Kevin Talley video was actually when he was in misery index, it’s years old. It was actually from just before lombardo came back. He actually got the job in chimeria because of it, they needed a drummer and Kerry king told them “check this guy out”!
Very solid bass player you have to love his confidence from the beginning amazing NO FEAR🎸🔥🤘💕🤩
He didn't turn himself into a doormat. .... He spoke up and said what he needed
Vman bass sound at FOH (crowd) sounded INCREDIBLE on the 2019 tour. Wholy moley!! I couldn’t get over it. Hats off. What did you use?
8:40 I get the awkward feeling he was subconsciously referring to the previous 30 seconds.
Respect🤘 r.i.p #1#2
Dan looks like a young Corey Taylor in the face.
Maybe it's just me
Nah I see it
me too! 🤣
Dammit i just about said the same thing but figured i was seeing things. At a glance he definitely resembles a young corey
I didn't see it till I seen your comment now that's all I see
I met Mr. Dekay at Psycho Las Vegas last week. Super nice dude!
V Man does great in memory of Paul
Jay is a great replacement for Joey
Tortilla man well....
Tortilla man has definitely improved in my opinion.
I think they should keep looking but then again he's really just an extra that adds more bass to the wall of drums on stage..he could be easily replaced. ..
@@torrotorch7068 clowns backup vocals were killer in Iowa era I wonder why his mic is so low during shows now
Clown could easily cover for tortilla
@@someguy1907 age, my friend. Clown is in his 50ths now...if they chose to let the band go on I'm sure he'd be replaced. He's already said if he did leave that his son would take his spot.
@@dapaintbrush6965 saying that about probably the best all around musician that's ever been in slipknot....Lmfao
When VMan gets older, he's going to have such an epic santa beard.
Okay I'm seeing one of their shows this year, and my only question is:
Is that mask gonna be modified for his lustrous gorgeous beard? Or will he shave that beauty?
can imagine just a moustache hole on each side lmao
If modified by his beard, then root's beard will be loss😁
Kerry King's english long lost brother......
It's funny when he says I know what they look like but then again I don't really know what they look like lol. Talking about when he was jamming with the band and trying to feel them out and seeing what their reaction was like while he was auditioning for them. I've been following Slipknot since 1999 and till this day I am still unsure of what Craig Jones actually looks like, and Mick Thompson. Like you can clearly see Mick's face in his interviews but I have never seen him with his sunglasses off and truly don't know what he looks like. With Craig I've seen pictures of him with his helmet off and still can't tell what he looks like because he had a big ass beard... or a hat on. The only thing I'm certain about Craig is that he wears prescription glasses.. but then again how do I truly know that's Craig in the pics I've seen of him because I was just taking the word of the person who took the pictures of Craig and he was w/ Corey and Chris Fehn. The other pictures I've seen of Craig with his spike helmet off he looks like the guy in the other pictures so it's like you know it's him but you still question is that really him? lol.
Alessandro has a magnificent beard that rivals Jim’s
It would make Oden weep
This band is ZZ Top with masks now
I liked Slipknot when Mick was the beard guy.
The SK guys have picked all the right replacements; Jay, Vman, and now Pffaf
Lol
We may have to agree to disagree on the latter
VMan doesn't have a mouth just all beard
I’ve never seen him without his mask before
I’m glad Jim didn’t play bass. I hate when a non bass player can Ames the seat and plays the bass. Glad the got Vman for the situation
Which is exactly what vman is 😆
@@nostromoalien2 truuu lmao!!!
lemmy was a guitarist who picked up bass
@@nostromoalien2 ohhh!! Lmao I don’t know any about VMan thanks for telling me that !!🤘
I like Vman!
Since I don't see a comment bringing it up anywhere: Vman can't take all the credit for tracking .5. Jim has said that Donnie tracked some of the songs, but decided not to rejoin. Can't take /all/ the credit dude.
VMAN --- fkn legend 👏🔥💀
Why did the interviewer miss the chance to ask him what 4 songs he had to learn for the audition? He said Heretic Anthem by himself, but that's it. :/
who made the intro song? sounds very Slipknot-ish
Such a great fit to the band (sic)
cool beard
Who has a better beard, Vman or Jim?
I personally think Jim
Jim without a doubt. Jim’s hair makes it.
V
theres's something i always wondered: like ahig was in 2008 and i saw a joey interview in 2011 or something where he said they were writting and i always wondered if joey wrote drum parts and/or lyrics for the gray chapter bc its a great fucking album, like wanyk its way different from what they made and with all the respect its not as good as what they did before well ofc theres a few good songs but if ur talking bout what slipknot really is i dont think wanyk shows it maybe bc there isnt a shadow of joey's writting on it, so yea my theory is dat theres a bit of joey on the gray chapter
i dont know where i heard it so i might be wrong but i think i remember jay saying that a lot of the drum parts were written for .5 and he just needed to finish and record them
Awesome! 😈
Nice interview but anyone find this one hella quite ? Had to grab head phones so I could hear 😂
Yep, until the end when the music comes on and I'm wanting to rip the headphones off.
V maaaaan! I wonder whereabouts he’s from? I’m hoping it’s SW London. Lol
Watford, I believe
I first met him when he was in cryforsilence but teched for sikth and aconite thrill all three bands are from Watford so I presume he’s also from there!
Vman is from Holloway / Camden
Damn vman Beard looks like viking lol 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Will you do one for new guy?a
funny how, if i remember correctly, paul wasn't a bass player originally either but picked it up for slipknot
My thoughts exactly! There’s a lot to be said for pure passion, drive and grit! Fair play to them both
Great interview, and a dude that I feel like we could break bread together and have a good chat.
I didn't know he was British until now
What was the other position? He said “it’s not that one it’s the other one, ok I’ll take it” was it tortilla mans position?
@CHRIS H I think he’s talking about Stone Sour.
@@brandonjones8849 oh gotcha.. that makes sense. I was like he play drums too or what lol
Lol that bootleg slipknot riff in the beginning tho
Whats it like being the nose of a legend? Get much cocaine?
“I can’t see the hype” 😂😂😂😂
Not a fan of the mask.. not a fan of how his bass looks. But he seems like a cool dude I would want to have a drink with.. and the beard is killer. Great player, cool dude, great addition to the band.
Well apparently Slipknot find him worthy so your opinion means nothing
@@slasherdope8065 did you read the comment? The masks and the bass are individual choice, it’s aesthetic. Literally bigs up the playing and the character of the guy, seems like a valid opinion to me?
Krokodil is dope if anyone hasn't listened.
READ THE ROOM OR LEAVE THE ROOM
kerry king?
I’m going to need you to put your mask back on Craig!
NICE CFH TAT VMAN
God, VMAN is cute. lol. Whew... lol
Interviewer is really annoying. Let the man talk.!!!
I like extra pie
But to be Honest with you vmans bass is so drowned out in new slipknot songs
learn to level your audio before uploading. annoying.
Why does he hide such a magnificient beard behind such a shitty mask?
Man, why do they choose someone who isn't a bass player. They should have picked someone with more respect for the craft and not just someone who wanted to be in a very big band...
Paul was just as much a guitarist. Bass is just slightly easier.
Simply could not watch this video. The sound was horrible. Interviewer was way to loud and artist was way to quiet. What a shame that more attention to the sound was not given. Couldn’t watch past 3 minutes.
Doesn’t fit in the band at all
