      Two of my favorite water sport YT’s in the same vid. Nice! LSA for sure. NV wins comfort and ease of portability but those are doable mods. A full rubber bottom sounds more like S&M than a doable mod.

    Good synopsis. Love how you have both boats so you can truly see the pluses and minuses of both.

    Finally, thank you nobody has a comparison and they look the same and apparently in Kansas you can’t get on a boat and actually try it.
    Thanks 🙏

    Great video! Both are great options. I love being a ambassador for both TBN and NPV. I even have the same affiliate discount code "FLORIDA" for both companies 😂 But it's great to showcase both for the consumer.

    can you post a build list for the aftermarket gear on yours? This will be a one man fishing rig to get back in the flats and launch off beaches since here in FL you have to know the governor or love streetfighting or shootouts to use a boat ramp here

    This video gave me a much better understanding of the strengths and weaknesses of each. But it kinda just makes me want to get both. The NS seems like it would be more ideal for a long day out on the lake bass fishing by myself and for trolling gear up and down a reservoir. While the LSA seems like it would be a great crappie boat for 2 guys and with the 9.9 I would be able to go upstream against current better. If I had to choose I think the versatility of the LSA wins out over the comfort of the NS for me. I like to stand a lot while bass fishing anyways so the less comfortable seat doesn't seem to be that much of a big deal and I think a good seat cushion on top of that slat board would be just fine. Still probably way more comfortable than most Kayaks.

    Nice, I’d say this vid is referential for making the correct choice. As someone who fishes the salt, trolls gear for hours and already owns a 9.8, it would be LSA all day for me. The NS aesthetically looks better, but the LSA seems more robust. I can see standing, bashing through rough chop while keeping it all under control with the grab bar.

    "I'm an avid public land turkey and deer hunter. I currently use a 14' jon boat for accessing small waters and creeks to reach areas few others can.
    It works okay, but I’m limited to towing either the boat/trailer or my travel trailer.
    I understand your fishing-focused channel, but what are your thoughts on using these boats for hunting? Are you concerned about their durability or ability to haul gear and game?
    If you feel this is a good use case, which boat would be best for this application and fishing-the Newport NS130 or the Lite Skiff Air?"

    6HP 2 Stroke CHeap Hangkai 12 MPH plus, I bet it can go faster, I havent test other motors on it because I 'm just slacking now lol NS130 feels like a very light, super stable and capable 60# kayak, yeah they dont exist lol the air feels like a bigger skiff

    A lot of good info but think I would get the lite skiff air just from the robust of it

    How is the LSA when deflating? How long does it take, is it worth infalting and deflating everytime for transportation for SUVs or is on the roof a better option? Thanks

    • @TinyBoatNation
      @TinyBoatNation  13 днів тому

      If you have a electric inflator, it’s pretty fast

    On the Newport boat, do you think it would be possible to rig up a bench seat mounted across the poles on the bow plate? 🤔

    • @TinyBoatNation
      @TinyBoatNation  Місяць тому

      Not without additional mods to support it on the hull.

    Wondering how tough the top vinyl is when dealing with hooks? I’m a salt water fisherman with tugboat traffic. Thoughts on this in the salt?

    Why not get a Saturn kaboat for half the price?

    • @TinyBoatNation
      @TinyBoatNation  Місяць тому +1

      It’s a nice boat, but it’s mainly made for transportation. There’s no accessories on it that help it a fish better.

    • @619_ER
      @619_ER Місяць тому +1

      @ Yeah I get that part. They come very bland and basic. But just as you customized the others, the Saturn can be dressed up nice too. I like the Newport and Lite Air-they just seem a bit too narrow for my liking. I know everyone says they are stable, but those anglers are normal size humans. I’m 6’1” and 260lbs so I’m very top heavy. I hope these newer boats come out with an XL option in the future. Give us big dudes an extra foot of interior space in width.

      @@619_ERim 275lbs and 5’8” and i can stand in mine. They’re extremely stable. The only thing more stable would be a full size boat.

    What is the approximate set up time start to finish from roller bag to ready to launch? Thanks

    • @TinyBoatNation
      @TinyBoatNation  Місяць тому

      Depends on what electric pump you have. But it’s just four board slats + the front piece. If it’s already preassembled then the set up is pretty quick.

  • @jamesdellebovi9046
    @jamesdellebovi9046 Місяць тому

    I am assuming you absolutely need a trailer to get the assembled craft into the water at the launch. Way too heavy bulky for any type of kayak cart ? Right now, I have to spend considerable time at the launch assembling my Sea Eagle but I can get it in and out on a cart. No trailer. I’m assuming I’d have to invest / license / store …. A trailer.

    Would you call the Lsa skiff they actually have a write up and I want to say popular science for there Dropped stitch. It’s different somehow and they’ve got a ton of military contracts. I know it makes it more rigid now I’m sure that translates to stronger but anyway, the only other option I have is to go with a modular kayak, which I’m not too sure about that. There’s very few videos about them. They’re basically a two piece, fish and kayak. They got some kind of like belt buckle that holds them together which worries me.
    Again, thanks for the video. Actually, you should look into it because I think the science says that it’s more durable than the Newport I’m pretty sure the way they do the drop station so just dare Alex to do that with the other one. I guarantee he’ll do it that dude ain’t all there. He’s a little. He’s a little crazy I like him.
    Thanks🙏
